A True, True Friend's Help

I've been dealing with a lot of stuff as of recently.

However, my biggest demon was the demon of alcoholism, one that wouldn't let me go.
For about a month now I've been drinking a bottle of wine a day. Everyday.
It's been bad. Only now did I realize how bad it was when I finished off a bottle today only to get another bottle of vodka and brought it into the theater with me when my girlfriend and I went to see Pacific Rim.

She took it out of my hands and threw it away. Needless to say she was pissed; and over dinner she discussed her worry for me. She told me that she has seen this happen before and the last thing she wants is to see me drunk again.

We went out to my car, only to find more alcohol to which she helped me pour out.

I found out today that a true, true friend is.
Sometimes, I think that the reason most people suffer is because no one is there to tell them what they're doing is hurting themselves.

 

I just... I can't love her enough for today. I'm absolutely enthralled with her 100%!

You caught my eye with the best song I've heard in a long while, Your story however was able to catch my attention further. She sounds like a wonderful girl and a strong person. One in six billion in my opinion, don't let her go.

I hope that you will be able to overcome your addiction to alcohol. I'm glad that your girlfriend is helping you - she sounds like a keeper to me. The fact that she would help you with this shows that she truly cares about you. For yourself, for your girlfriend, and for everyone who cares about you, I hope that you will do your best to overcome your alcoholism.

I have found by talking with many people with this same problem that turning to alcohol as a "way to ease" worries, pain, concerns and in general forget things. Sadly when alcohol makes people forget those bad things people also forget the good things they have. Here in your case you could forget the same very person that is trying to help you because you are important to her life. 

 

Your GF is watching you going away to a place where she cant follow, no one can follow you there. She is trying to keep her close to the place where she knows she can make you happy because you make her happy to. You are blessed with the feelings of a special someone, you are part of her life, NO, part of her and the more you hurt yourself she will get hurt too.

 

Its going to be hard and rough but you can do It man, you can overcome this because you are not alone, she is the proof of that and there must be others there for ya. Good luck and stay strong
