If I had to choose a place of residence, I'd probably live somewhere in the Everfree Forest, perhaps close to Zecora's hut. I like the idea of living in the thick of the forest, despite the obvious dangers, but if Zecora can manage just fine, then I should be able to get by too, besides, I like a challenge, and the natural climate and earth like environment would make it feel very much like home.

I would live somewhere close to Fluttershy's cottage, in a small warm and cosy cottage. Being a timid person/pony, we would get along great. Also when i need my quiet moments. ^^

Since I feel like it I'm going to give a bit of a descriptive answer here.

 

Canterlot: It seems to be the place for upper class citizens, and mostly comprised of Unicorns. I'm not into the whole fancy living thing that seems to be very abundant in Canterlot. Not very many pegasi about the place from the looks of it, and if I were a pony I would definately be a pegasus.

 

Ponyville: It has that small town feeling to it, and since we always seem to see the same ponies there must not be a very large population. This would be the perfect setting for me, I've always wanted to live in a small town where everyone knew one another. Also it is in close proximity to the mane 6 (Especially Fluttershy) Cause who doesn't want to hang out with them right? Plus they have a bowling alley which is a necessity (Even though i suck at bowling)

 

Cloudsdale: As awesome as it would be to live in the clouds, it's only full of Pegasi. I would very much rather associate with all kinds of ponies than just stick with the pegasi. That's pretty much the only reason for not living in Cloudsdale.

 

Sweet Apple Acres: I'm not much of a farm pony. I'd certainly love the open fields and the nearly unlimited supply of apple pies, but it's just not someplace I'd like to live.

 

AAAAAAAAAAAAAPPLEOOOSA!: It's clearly a western town. I pretty much already live in a western town that has turned into a retirement community. It would be a nice place to visit, especially to see Braeburn, but not the kind of place you'd catch me staying for long periods.

 

Manehatten: For goodness sake just keep me away from this place! I don't even want to go near New York IRL.

 

You should probably add AAAAAAAAAAAAAPPLEOOOSA! and Manehatten to your list there, I'm sure there are people who would want to live in either of those 2 places. maybe Fillydelphia as well but we don't really know anything about it, except it was overrun by parasprites

I would live in the Everfree out of necessity. As a human, I'm sure other ponies would be disturbed that I ate meat. I'd live near Zecora's hut, befriending her, and through her, probably the mane six.
