Would My Little Pony be better if it was for Cartoon Network?

MLP would be pretty much dumbed down in that channel. Don't you ever watched those series? most of them barely make sense in a logic way.

So my answer will be. "No, please no, for the love of Celestia"
I want the show to keep with certaing degree of depth in its plot. With a message to give, a lesson to teach. With that sense of  narrative progression and evolution between the characters, even though that last part failed a little bit during the third season. But I think I made my point clear.

Apologies for my english.

Besides the fact that a lot of great shows end up being cancelled after appearing on CN, I think MLP would of been at least 20% cooler being aired on that network (see what I did there?).

I believe the show would have been allowed to be a bit more... open about some of the more adult oriented humor/ situations (not that there really are any to begin with lol), but take a lok at PPG or Dexter's Lab or Samurai Jack or... well, you get the idea. At the same time, I guess not every cartoon needs to be for grown ups :)

First of all, I highly doubt CN would have picked it up. I'm pretty sure they rejected a few shows simply because they starred female main characters. However, some of the comments I'm seeing here are just, well, baffling.

They would have dumbed it down? Yeah, because the same network that lets Adventure Time get away with vulgar innuendos, implied trans-species sex, implied rape, existential themes, mild gore, and a post-apocalyptic setting would totally censor the crap out of the show about talking ponies. Even though CN wouldn't pick it up, in an alternate reality I think MLP would fit pretty nicely with the rest of CN's lineup.
