It's only been 9 months, and rumor was that the release date was set in feburary or march. So, we should be glad we're getting it early. And , wouldn't you rather wait a long time for a great season instead of waiting a short time for a crappy one? TheSupremeLeaderOfChaos 1,206 July 29, 2013 Share July 29, 2013 Lolz, well first off, calm down a bit. Nothing's wrong. Yes, this is a long waiting period, but it's not because of anything like that. I'm not totally sure exactly why it's taking so long, but it may be because of a longer animation process if the animation is getting better than it was in S3. Also, in the S4 clip, all of it was in storyboard, so they are probably not that far along with all of the animation. There are also a ton of songs in this season, so that takes time. What's good about the long wait is that we get an awesome S4 out of it, and the wait makes it all the better when it finally comes! Plus, we were all expecting S4 to come much later than what it is now, so we're all pretty happy it's in November! I remember the beginning of this hiatus... We all looked something like this. Most shows that go through seasons break their seasons up into a fall/winter half and a spring/summer half. Which makes the wait seem shorter. Since MLP is shown as one continuous season the wait seems longer. Also the fact that work on the next season doesn't begin till the network confirms another season makes it longer too because the writers and animators don't work on their free time. 1 Sig made by me. I'm not sure what the specifics are for MLP though. They're probably just taking the right amount of time to get the episode ready, which I am okay with. DFTBA. I think they also wised up and listened to the one reasonable complaint about season 3, it did feel a little rushed out. It takes time to so things right, look how long EqG took from announcement to release(and that was only a 70min movie versus the roughly 520min a whole season of the show runs. Normally it's round 9-12 months, and rumors were we were getting S4 in winter. Have the courage to think and act on your own. And have the courage to disobey. Not only didn't we know the air date until we were one month away from the premiere, but we also knew it was an half season. The wait between one and two wasn't too bad for me since I joined one month before the premiere. Waiting for seasons is always a pain, but I try to get into other shows while waiting. I'm not sure if the wait between season 2 and 3 was actually longer, or if I'm just being more patient now than I was then. Besides, season 4 is scheduled to begin airing on November 23rd of this year, which isn't that far off. I'm looking forward to it a lot. But, in the meantime, one of the things that helps me to be patient is having MLP Forums to post on. It's something MLP related that I can do whenever I want. Also, the fact that season 3 was so short and ended in February. Still, the wait is over halfway over! Less than 4 months left now! Quite exciting. I dunno, buy some comics, watch some videos, read some fanfiction, buy the Monopoly when it comes out, there's plenty to keep busy in the meantime. 2 I love you. Second of all, there's plenty of other things to do relating to the fandom to pass the time. You could read fanfiction, or attend some streams and etc. What I like to do is watch all the previous episodes, one a day, leading up to the next season. So, chill out, dude. Besides, I have to wait till friggin' March for the next season of Game of Thrones. I'm pretty sure we've been waiting a bit longer between S3 and S4 than we waited between S2 and S3, the difference this time though was that we had a movie released in between to tide us over, and they gave us a date a LOT quicker, that alone is definitely the main reason the wait for season 3 felt so long in my opinion.But yeah, this is nothing, if you want quality you'll have to wait for quality as I've learned, and I'm sure we'll get it next season with the majority of the episodes. Zygen 6,066 July 29, 2013 Share July 29, 2013 Well, this wait is pretty normal, its got alot to do with all the things that go into making the show, then the fact they have to make sure they do things well, i mean they could just put some crappy episodes out, but they're taking their time to make good episodes, not crappy ones. Also there is the other shows and stuff hasbro has to do and stuff, which distracts slightly, from the long process involved in making the show. But this is a pretty normal thing, its best to try and just not have it constantly on your mind if you can, or rewatch episodes maybe. Do whatever can help the wait, it can be quite lengthy. Reason why that long is probably due to some editing, polishing, and making sure when to air what episode at the appropriate time. If that doesn't put it into a positive perspective, think of it this way: We have dealt with 5 months negativity, drama, turmoil and so on, I think a little less than 4 months of positivity and excitement won't be too tough, for me especially since my days are just flying by. Yes, the wait is still hard, but I think the worst of it is over. The drama of Twilicorn and Equestria Girls has died for the most part. Plus, there is all this new info that looks amazing and (this is a personal one) Twilicorn will stay! The wait will be worth it.
