I'm going to have to go with HALO, I played ODST and enjoyed, but then I tried Halo 3 and just couldn't get into it the same way. It just felt repetitive.

every single fps and rts (except games like rise of nations and the total empire series) game. those kind of game take either no skill or takes months before you can even win one match. i like to be able to pick up a new game, play it, be able to have a chance at winning while there is still things to learn and strategies to develop.

Silent Hill 4. Loved the first 3 games even if I found them insanely hard because I can't solve puzzles ;) SH4 though the pacing the combat, the way it doesn't have the SH atmosphere, it felt like twice the clunkiness of previous SH games without the payoff ie the atmosphere, the soundtrack, the character's dialogue and the art design felt cold to me. I know SH4 was never intended to be a Silent Hill game during development and I'm not saying that is the reason for disliking it just fyi, the above reasons is why I couldn't get into it.

Dishonored. There's a good game in there somewhere, but it steals so much - and the tutorial is painfully laborious - and it's not even that open ended. Oh, and if your trying for a Ghost run, you WILL get spotted at the tutorial segment. And you'll have to replay the level again so your not caught.

The Legend of Zelda (several games). I desperatley tried to like it, I really did, but I just could not. It's uninteresting and boring and ughgh.

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?

I tried Skyrim and really wanted to like it, but it really felt like a lonely world of warcraft to me. I also tried to get into LoL but the community spoiled it too much for me despite the game being not bad. Also felt Halo wasn't that good after playing the campaigns on call of duty despite wanting to get into it.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was the biggest gaming disappointment of my life. Felt less like I was playing a Zelda game and more like I was playing a lifeless imitation of one.

Other than that unfortunate case I'm usually happy with the games I purchase.

I'm sure that there are a few games but for now, the first thing that comes to mind is Minecraft/Terarria.

I try so hard to play and enjoy it, especially with most (along my friends) constantly making a huge deal of it, so I would try it mostly to spend time with them but I just could never get into it.  It would always bore me.  Building stuff in a game just isn't my 'thing', I guess.

Ah! And sports games (in general) for sure, also. :T

I got Far Cry 3 with high expectations. I rather enjoyed Far Cry 2, it was more realistic than most games like it out there. Sure the lack of fast travel could get annoying but it was a fresh change from everything else. Far Cry 3 was supposed to be like and I quote "Skyrim with guns". I tried it and I was so disappointed. Your character is portrayed as never been in so much as a fight but by the second or third mission he acts like a grizzled veteran who is indifferent about killing a camp full of pirates. The crafting system is god awful. If it was optional, like skyrim, I couldn't really complain. But being forced to comb the entire island to find pigs just so you can carry more than one gun or more than $1000 is a complete load. I tried, I really did. I didn't want to believe this game could suck so hard. But I have up once I parked my car in the grass and a bush was clipping in the middle of my seat.

Injustice: Gods Among Us.

I'm a big fan of fighting games and this one looked interesting enough so I decided to get it. I played it for a while but the game feels really stiff to me. I guess it's because I'm used to playing games like BlazBlue, Arcana Heart 3 and  Persona 4 Arena, which have much more mobility and cancels.

Oh, and I hate how the high/mids/lows work in Injustice. High attacks seem utterly useless as far as pressure goes since the low jab is just as fast and ducks highs anyway. The mid attacks have the advantage of not whiffing on crouching opponents but are slower than the low jab anyway, which is really annoying. Honestly, the whole offense and defense dynamic of the game is boring. It's very "my turn, your turn" as in I follow through with my blockstring and then you do your blockstring. There's not enough options to keep an offensive presence when your attacks are being blocked. That also leads to the defense being rather lackluster, since you just block until their string is over (as opposed to having to look for not so obvious openings in your opponents offense).

ugg Gears of war judgment, My God that game... I love Gears of war so when it came out I was like yay, I got it. Got home played, it sucked... a lot so I tried and tried to like it but at the end of the day I could not lie to myself anymore. It sucks.

Halo2,3 and all the others one but the very first one. The first one that came out for just Xbox was fucking sweet! I loved it! then 2 came out it sucked... then 3 it sucked... then I just gave up...

Here are a couple I couldn't get into.

1) DOTA 2 : I really wanted to like it, I did. But I just don't enjoy games like DOTA. :c

2) Killzone 1-3 : I wanted to enjoy it, I really, REALLY did. But in the end it wasn't my kind of game.

3) LittleBigPlanet Karting : Seeing as I (used) to adore the world of LBP, I decided to shell out $60 and give this game a whirl. It was not what I was expecting AT ALL.. In a bad way. The game was bland and seemed more like a generic racing game covered up with a LBP style.

Tried to force myself to like League of Legends because a lot of people I know play it, but I was really bad, and didn't enjoy it as much as I enjoy MMORPGs and shooter games.

I also forced myself to try to like the Fallout series. I liked it, but it was hardly impressive in my oppinion.

Other games I tried to like were Assassin's Creed and Garry's Mod

This topic was inspired by how a friend of mine mentioned that he tried to force himself to like TF2 but couldn't really get into it because it was too goofy to him.

>League of Legends

mah nigga

I only play it from time to time and bad because of my friends who play it, they are like level 27 and i'm 11, i can't get myself into it.

I also include Dota 2 here.

League of Legends, World of Warcraft (along with every other MMO I've tried), Warframe, Dragon Age, and most Mario games I've tried to force myself to like. I'd say, "Sadly, all attempts were in vain," if I were remotely sad about that.

Halo

Assassin's Creed

Gears of War

Battlefield

The Last of Us

That's pretty much it to be honest. I try not to focus too much on what I dislike. I try to remain positive the best I can. These are the only series that I have constantly tried to like but I always have a hard time enjoying regardless of the number of times I try to play them.

Hmmmm... Just about all of them except:
Jet Set/Grind Radio
Forza Horizon
Gran Turismo 4
World of Tanks
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

I especially do not like:
Minecraft
The entire Fallout franchise

Not really into: "Gamer culture" as I always whine about, but whatever.

The History Channel's Civil War: A Nation Divided.

Honestly, I tired my best to like that game, but musket FPS games are not made for consoles, let alone single player. That, and it was quite glitchy, historically inaccurate (at least, I've been told it is, I am ignorant on the ACW) and has bad musket mechanics.

BattleGrounds II and Mount and Blade: Napoleonic Wars are by far better musket games.

I would have to go with bioshock, it's odd cause I love the second and infinite, but, the first one was just to repedative, I just lost interests after Andrew Ryan dies, I really did try, just to much of the same thing.
