How many people like Applejack?

Applejack is my favorite pony and I really don't see many people that like her. There is one place that a few that lile her. And that is a reason I like it there. Though other places it don't seem like. Heck when I first join that place there wasn't many AJ fans to begin with. Honestly AJ seems real underrated and it upsets me. I know others have their opinions, but is it really worth ditching on AJ? Like with those stupid AJ is best BG pony jokes.

i like her. not my fav, that's reserved for fluttershy, but i like her. to me, she brings out the true meaning of southern hospitality mixed with a tomboy attitude.

Out of all the main six, she's the one I tend to like the most. I always say "everypony is best pony" but she's actually the one I have the least problems with. And she was the one that caused me to say "I'll watch at least all episodes before I pass my judgement on the show" thanks to that whole scene:

 

 

She's a great character. I appreciate her for all the traits that I don't have.

 

I can't understand why some people always have to come up with these jokes. It's getting old.

I like her. She's always been one of my favorites and I certainly wouldn't say she's boring like many others would. She has her flaws like everyone else and watching her overcome them is always refreshing, particularly when said flaw is something I can relate to: stubbornness, belief that I don't always need help for something and that I should be able to do it alone to prove myself how far I can go. It's also kind of RDish in a sense but AJ and RD have always been pretty similar from the start, albeit with AJ being more down to earth and caring for those around her without that brashness and obsession with trying to look cool. That's something else I like about AJ.

I honestly don't hate anypony in the show. That is mostly because they all seem very adorable or just plain attractive. That applies to Applejack a lot, but I really can't hate somepony just because they don't have much of a past going for them. In my opinion, and I apologize if this offends anyone in any way, but I think Applejack is probably the sexiest character in the show (And especially in Equestria Girls). I probably do not need to explain my attraction to her, since the whole thing might just be subjective, but I do think she is physically attractive. It's probably all that country swagger she has.

 

But, all in all, I do like Applejack.

Generally, everyone will like every Mane 6 character. Although Applejack's one of those characters who doesn't have any particular traits that make you wanna dislike her. You either like her or are indifferent.

 

Actually, when I first began watching the show, there was a small period of time where I liked Applejack just as much as I did Pinkie Pie. This was before watching Party Of One. I had admired how her main priority was fairness and humility, a great part of putting oneself at ease. I wanted her to win in the Running of the Leaves, and wanted her to win the ticket in The Ticket Master. She's my third favourite right now (bordering on joint second favourite with Rainbow Dash) because, truth be told, the spotlight hasn't been there. Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash also grew on me much more.

 

Oh, I'm rambling. But yeah, who doesn't like Applejack?

I honestly do not hate Applejack at all. A lot of people label her as ''boring'' , and ''stubborn.'' A lot of people look at her traits, and dislike her right away even before they know about her. Applejack caught my attention after I was introduced to Rainbow Dash in the show, and I think that AJ deserves a lot of love. But, a lot of people start to know on why she doesn't get any love. Anyway, I like Applejack.

I think Applejack is a good character. She has nearly all good traits including niceness, generosity and honesty. She can be stubborn sometimes because nopony is perfect. She may be the least liked of the mane six however I feel that it is unwarranted.

She's personally one of my favorite mane 6 ponies, she's #4 behind Rainbow Dash at #3,  right behind Twilight Sparkle at #2 and Rarity at #1. I do enjoy her despite hating most country-related things.

Many just happen to be indifferent or love her. I personally am indifferent. Yeah, she's amazing and everything...but the lack of focus shows and I would really like her to be shown more. She's just one of those characters that doesn't have a trait that can be hated, which also probably doesn't help the situation. Maybe she'll get more traits then the listed few she has, kind of like how Pinkie Pie isn't always that happy go lucky mare and she gets insecurities probably very often. I would need to see more to get more love for her. ~

Applejack has always been one of my favourite characters. I liked her as soon as I started watching Friendship is Magic. Even though I probably like Pinkie Pie the most, Applejack makes the best role model.

I like Applejack. I mean she is a cool character. I like her personality and her honesty in most situations. Favorites are always going to be opinions so please don't gripe at people who don't see her as their favorite (like me). I never heard any of those "Applejack is best background pony" jokes but that did make me laugh. I see plenty of people that like her on this site so I guess it really comes down to where you go and the people that you come across. To me she is not an underrated character.

I think a majority of bronies, especially those that have been around longer, are starting to appreciate her qualities, especially after the great season she had in Season 3.  She's not my favorite out of the Mane 6, but none of them are; I've said this before and I'll say it again, I cannot and will never be able to have a favorite out of the Mane 6.  I love them all equally for their own particular qualities and what they specifically bring to the group, and there is most certainly plenty to love about good ol' Applejack.

 

I was last season a major AJ proponent, but that's different than saying she's best pony and was largely because I thought the writers needed to start placing her in a starring role more, and they most certainly gave her plenty of screen time last season, so I was quite satisfied, as were most AJ fans in general I believe.

I didn't care for her too much at first. However, after seeing every episode, I got to say I'm starting to grow fond of Applejack. I'd have to say that Applejack is one of my favorite ponies from the show. She's interesting, and has a lot of good episodes based on her. She's a well done character.

At first Applejack wasn't my type of pony, but now I really like Applejack. I actually have a little crush on her. She has progressed as a really great character now and her country style has really grown on me.

I believe that she's a decent character, but unfortunately the show writers have explored all there is to her, unless they come up with a new aspect of her personality. We've seen she's stubborn but reliable, has a balance of pride and humility, and has pretty much achieved all of her life's goals, wanting to work on the farm (and continuing to do that). It really spoke of the problem with all her character depth having been satisfied when in The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000 that she outright says "I didn't learn anything!".

 

If she took up a new character trait or quirk, such as being overly ambitious, too difficult to humour or something, then suddenly the statements that she's 'the most visibile background character' would vanish, because then she would have a new dimension to explore, and another trait to compare conflict with other character traits of the other mane characters.

Well, I have my favorites: RainbowDash, Fluttershy, and Twilight Sparkle. But that actually doesn't mean I like the others less. AppleJack included. I'd say she's my 4th favorite! But not because I don't like her. I love all of the mane six, I just have my favorites, but I still love the ones I don't mention to be my favorite. Its a very close tie between applejack and pinkie pie.

My list from favorite to least would be this

Rarity>Applejack=Pinkiepie>Twilight Sparkle>Fluttershy>Rainbow Dash

In the past, Twilight would've replaced Applejack there, but she's lost her spunk >.>

Seriously, i really do love Applejack alot though. She brings the family element to the show more than any other pony, and i think family that is so important. And of course i just love her rough but kind personality

Sadly though, AJ being a background pony was reinforced when Derpy took center stage in her episode. I feel so sorry for her fans.

AJ is such a great addition to the Mane Six in my opinion. She's a very well rounded pony as far as characterization goes. And I always remember the scene in Dragonshy where Fluttershy was too terrified to climb the mountain, and Applejack, without even thinking, grabbed the map and ran down to help her. I always thought that was just great development for me personally, because I was actually a little irritated by her the first few episodes.

 

But now I really adore her. What a great pony.
