Best scents/smells

As the title states, what are some of the best scents that you've ever encountered? 

 

Share your favorite scents, your most memorable experiences with them, and etc. 

 

One of my favorite scents would have to be fresh bread. It's one of the best food scents for me! 

 

Bakeries are fun to visit because of this.

My favorite scent would have to be that of the ocean. I just love the free, salty air. It's also a pretty memorable scent to me, because I like to visit the beach on vacation.

 

Besides that, I would have to say fresh fruit.

Im fairly sensative to smell so alot I like and even more I hate but to name a few.

Fresh cut Grass

Lemon/orange foods

Steak

Eucalyptus

I also like that particular scent in bookstores. It's like the good smell of books x (a big number). 

 

The air-conditioning probably makes it fresher in some way, too. xD

Scents of nature are among my favorites. The only scented candles I ever buy are those that smell like trees or somesuch. I suppose that's the only thing I like that might not be universal. Most people enjoy the smell of food and baked confections when they're hungry, right?

The crisp falling leaves and woodfire smoke is the stuff of autumn.

I love the smells of autumn and winter. They bring back memories, and they also just make me happy overall.

 

I actually can't really think of anything else... Well, there is the smell of new instruments. lol. And I suppose I like the "Fresh Berries" scent they sell in candles at stores.

It may be strange, but it's the smell of my ex-boyfriend. Even without any emotional connection to him. Sometimes when I'm around him and I smell him it makes me miss the smell. Not him. Just the smell.

 

And now I sound weird. But other people like how he smells too. It's a mixture of his shampoo/laundry detergent/deodorant/dryer sheets/just him. 

 

Something about it was just really relaxing and made me feel safe. 

 

If I ever find someone that smells even remotely like him I'll have to marry them.

Diesel exhaust, gunpowder (post-combustion), new tires or similar grade rubber (tire shops smell great), that "new car" smell, homemade cookies, fried chicken, leather, and that "pre-rain smell".

I love the faint smell of fruit. Especially apples and oranges. 

 

Besides fruit I like mild sweet scents, they make me relaxed. Except for fire and burned things, I don't like strong smells, they make me nauseous.

 

Some food smells nice too, the smell of chicken and rabbit always makes me really hungry.

Rain has to be my favorite smell, it's so calming. I actually love the kind of musty smell that rain brings.

I have always loved the smell of old books. It's the most heavenly smell I think I could think of, I wish I could spray my car with such a scent!

 

As for the other favourite scents:

For some reason, I think I'll enjoy the scent of bread even when I'm not hungry.  

There actually exists some key-chains that mimic the scent of bread! 

 

 

I'm tempted to eat them sometimes.

 

I also have this small cloth sack of sorts that give off a scent named 'sandalwood'. It's smells great, but I've never come across a tree in person that smelled as fragrant!
