Anypony else feels the lack of pony games out there?

It accrued to me, that with the amount of pony fans out there, we don't get to see much of games featuring colored equines…

Well of course there are some projects here and there, but with this amount of talented people out there?

I mean we have every thing , tons of writers, super talented artists,

amazing voice actors (that sometimes I ask my self, how aren’t any of them work for DHX already?),

A lot of animators (some with show accurate work), and I can bet there are some out there who learned coding.

I mean, with all that we should have a lot more projects happening no?

What do you guys think?

There's actually a lot of pony games out there, in fact there's a whole site for them called Equestria Gaming.

My personal favorite pony game is MLP RPG: Fighting The Unknown.

If you don't mind simple games, search "pony flash games" on DA, in fact, have a link:

I've found tons of hidden gems that way(and I know a way to download them if you're interested.)

There are some big projects in development (ski-boosh), but it's a bit disheartening that damn near every MLP game is a minigame made in flash. And often pretty poorly, at that. I guess the fandom's a bit young for us to already have a 5-star AAA title, but it's pretty sad that so many of the most promising games have gotten completely canned.

YES! Except.....clopping games. Man I am just waiting and hoping Legends of Equestria is relesed pretty soon, they have been working on it for like 2 years now. hopefully they get all the bugs worked out of it and actually make it good!

Honestly, I expect some great things in the future. Maybe not the near future but somewhere down the line.

The old generations of MLP have titles (or at least one title, maybe more) out there, and while the games might be 100% simple and aimed at little kids, there was indeed games made under the MLP franchise that were sold in video game stores.

Given how much more massive G4's popularity is compared to the older ones I can say we are nearly garaunteed to have a title released sometime in the future made by a major (or at least semi-major) developer. Weather it'll be good or not is hard to say but I have a feeling they'd take it seriously. They have to know there are a ton of gamers in the fandom and to release a high quality game would certainly make em a ton of money.

I did have the oppertunity to play and beat the Sega Genesis My Little Pony game a long time ago and the only problem i see with a mlp os is it would be targeted at the target audience not the brony community

This is true, but as long as the game has a good system of controls that are easy to pick up and play, a heavily scaled difficulty slider could make things work out. Make easy difficulty ridiculously easy and possibly help walk them through it with added tooltips. The higher difficulties could be more like the "average game". Then they could secretly aim the game at Bronies, and the little girls would still have fun.

In other news, they've got a pony game on the leap pad I didn't know about till recently (I played my niece's the other day, haha), so hopefully it's our turn next :D (what can I say, I'm optimistic lol)
