Then I made an OC

Thrashely, the heavy metal OC that spawned from a lethal dose of White Zombie and too much time! The pegasi lives on a storm cloud on the far side of Ponyville, living out the days of a freelance guitarist, on hiatus...

 

It took me about 2 weeks spread out within a month, entirely vectored and rigged in Adobe Flash. I'll figure out something to do with Thrashely one day. The bottom thing is here cutie mark by the ways!

It's dark, cool, and if I may say so, adorable.

 

Very nice design by the way, for a pegasi, that's pretty nice.

Where did you learn how to do this?  After spending several hours of frustration with vector tutorials just trying to draw one of those curved pony outlines with the points at the ends before rage quitting, it absolutely blows. my. mind. that people can actually make art this way.  One curved line, that would take me a fraction of a second to do by hand on paper.    Did you take a college course?

I picked a lot of things up from some tutorials and watching others work with Flash, but a lot of how a drawing is styled and using the tools to do so, I learned to do myself. I did take a week of a summer course at a college once on introduction to Adobe Flash but it was more about teaching me about principles and some basic technique on things I already knew rather than newer ways to use the program itself. But I've yet to actually attend a full blown course so, yes and no I guess.
