Please don't discuss anything further than what the anime has covered. I will honestly find out where you sleep and kill you (with love).

This show has been without a doubt the most intriguing series I think I've ever watched. From start to finish (not finish finish but season 1 finish) It had me completely hooked, I've seen a lot of the best received Anime but, it might just be the post Ep.25 nerves talking, this series has blown them all out of the water. If you haven't watched the series yet don't read any further and spoil it for yourself just in case one day you decide to watch it. Here's 5 reasons why you should

  1. Animation, bucking amazing
  2. Soundtrack, i actually paid for this it was so good
  3. Unpredictable story
  4. Original Story, no school clubs or plot lines revolving around tea.)
  5. Doesn't give in to any fan service (which is actually nice for a change)

IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN UP TO EP. 25 THERE IS SPOILER CONTENT BELOW

The only thing I can think of that I would have liked them to do a little differently was to make Annie's titan resemble her human form a little less. I think it was only while I was re-watching the first or second episode the Female titan appeared in before I worked it out (the nose gave it away). Unfortunately I figured out which of the other characters are the Armoured and Colossus titans as well which I wont go any further into. Which is a real shame because without even trying I've spoiled future episodes for myself, but that's the only problem I have with the show.

I was pretty satisfied with the ending how it didn't leave me anything to think about (just because it would make waiting for the next season excruciating) and then this happens......

When the part of the wall crumbled and I saw the titan buried in it it made me jump in my seat a little bit. I really enjoyed how the wall became more of a focus in the final episode too that little story about the man that tried to dig under wall Sina and went missing extremely interesting (sudden thought, maybe that was him trapped in the wall??)

Ill finish with a screenshot of my favourite scene in the series (even though every frame was badass.)

So where do you think the series will go? Where do you want it to go? I'm going to have to use every fibre in my being to stop myself from reading any of the Manga.

The animation style is gorgeous, I can see that they invested money well spent on it.  Though they have been putting so many twists at the ends of their episodes that now I wait to see what they will whip out next.  It puts a small damper on my enjoyment for the show but it's still a great show regardless of that.  Eren's Titan form looks so cool in this episode though! wub.png

Best anime I have seen in a really, really, reaaaaally long time. Enough said.

Seriously, I have not seen an anime this brilliant and well thought out, since Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Best anime I've seen since Death Note. Hell, it's one of the best current shows in general. It is truly briliant and makes me cringe when bad things happen more than any other show. Red Wedding from Game of Thrones has nothing on when terrible things go down in Attack on Titan.

Season One: 10/10

Once I catch up with One Piece, I plan on reading through SnK again. I started watching the anime sometime back but I'm sticking to the manga atm. It most definitely is one of the best manga series I've ever read alongside OP and FMA (another series I want to re-run). Don't be so hard on yourself for catching on to who the Armored and Colossal Titans are. Isayama was very instrumental in throwing hints here and there about the identities of the Titan shifters apart from Eren. It's actually less obvious who the female Titan is in the manga, which I think is due to the way she's been drawn, but you can still sort of pick up on it considering they have similar fighting styles and stances.

I won't spoil anything, but for you anime-only followers, what I will say is that the next season will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

SNK is absolutely fantastic. I recently dragged my best friend into watching it too, and he hasn't regretted it for a second either. I love the characters, they're all unique and well built, and I'm sure we'll learn even more about them, come season two. My favourites have gotta be Levi, Jean, Sasha and Connie... they're all brilliant. I'm quite intrigued by the entire concept as well - it's rather fascinating.

This anime has depth and animation that is hard to find today; truly beautiful and well done.

SnK is probably one of the only animes that I really love! I love because the story of it is really interesting and different than other animes I have seen and then they have very lovable and interesting characters that you get attached to! And then they die a horrific death. I can't wait for the second season to come out. But it might be until mid next year or so. The only thing about it that irked me was the ending to the season and how different it was to the manga. Other than that, I just love shingeki no kyojin!

Just another background cat. Move along.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

That was so deep and metaphorical I don't think anyone but the creator knew what was really happening haha.

Red Wedding from Game of Thrones has nothing on when terrible things go down in Attack on Titan.

I agree, red wedding devastated just about everyone who watches GOT but It's never made me react the same way as some of the Attack on titan moments have. There have been times when i was literally jumping out of my seat with excitement lol.

Seldom does an anime grab me, but this one did so effortlessly. I was hooked after the intro to the first episode. Several weeks ago I even had a dream that I ordered a set of 3D gear and had it sent to a local UPS store for me to pick up.

What struck me most profoundly about this series is that nobody is too significant either in terms of necessity or emotional attachment to viewers to avoid death. Anybody can die at virtually any time. Complacency is something I've never felt while watching AoT. Every episode leaves me hopeful but completely uncertain of an event's outcome until it happens. That kind of unpredictability is something I haven't seen often in any form of media, save books I read by a particular author. I've high expectations for a second season.

MLP is the only other thing on TV that has had me this stoked for more in many years.

So, I had been seeing references to this anime every now and then, and I finally decided to give it a shot during finals week (always the best time to get into a new show  :P ).  It's probably important to note that I don't typically watch anime, not because I don't like it, but more because I just don't really look for it.  The only anime I can think of that I've watched in its entirety is Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (I've seen Avatar: The Last Airbender as well, but that's not technically an anime (I think)).

Anyways, I finished watching it in about five days (which is very fast for me, considering that it had taken me about 2 1/2 months to watch the first 2 seasons of MLP).  It's quite enjoyable in a very dark sort of way.  I love how almost every character is enjoyable, intelligent, and just overall makes sense.  I'm also a huge fan of its soundtrack (I've always been a sucker for hyper-dramatic music).  Not to mention, the themes that they encounter are really quite interesting, particularly, "If you want to change the world, you have to make sacrifices: ie. you might have to sacrifice your humanity."

My one main complaint is that I kind of wish that Eren had actually died.  It's not that I don't like Eren or anything, it's just that killing off your main character is such a ballsy thing to do, and I feel like because of having such a strong supporting cast, it could have worked here!  His resurrection was just a little bit disappointing to me, though I understand why they did it.

Overall, I enjoyed it and I'll definitely be around for the next season!

I haven't watched much of it and it's taking me a while cuz I'm not gonna lie both the thought of and scenes of people being swallowed alive make my bucking skin crawl :P But that said from what I have seen the animation is superb and I could listen to the intro track over and over again :3

In response to Mr Flutterbro's post above me, that was my first exposure to the show XD TFS really outdid themselves with this parody. I was in tears the entire time.
