Crimson heard the prompts of Blast and Kingfisher and groaned, slowly getting to his hooves and shaking his head, "that...was...AWSOME!" said Crimson with a stupid grin, his hat lopsided and mane ruffled, but he didn't seem to notice or care, "I mean sure, the landing kinda hurt...but besides that, I wouldn't mind doing that again!" said Crimson before remembering why he had flown away in the first place, his face turning serious, "wait a second! where's that alicorn jerk!? I wanna give that dick a piece of my mind..." said Crimson as he cracked his neck and adjusted his hat, not even caring that he had also apparently broken his left foreleg in the fall.

With a groan Pavisa picked herself up after the blast, looking down to check on Silver Heart.  It seemed as though she had been able to shield the other mare from most of the blast, though Silver Heart still seemed to be unconscious.  Wincing slightly from the exertion Pavisa leaned down to pull Silver Heart onto her back before moving to check on where Crimson had landed, glaring daggers at Chivalry as she walked past him.

 

Upon reaching the scene, Crimson seemed to be awake and talking.  At least he isn't dead...  That was when she also noticed Kingfisher on the scene.  Nodding at the mare while wondering where she had come from, she jerked her head towards Silver Heart on her back.  "We need to get back to camp and assess injuries."  She let the statement hang as concern for the others, though she wasn't looking forward to seeing what had happened to her once she gets her armor off.

Blast let out a slight 'heh' at Crimson's surprising reaction to this.

"You missed him, man. Looks like the alicorn turned tail and ran. He's probably gonna get himself into some more trouble." He couldn't get the alicorn out of his mind. He actually kind of worried for him, but only because his stubborness is going to lead him to his doom. "We'll have to find him before he gets himself killed."

Midnight sighed with resignation before replying to Steel. "Yeah, I suppose we should go check on the others. Why don't you come with me Steel, since I don't think Blizzard would want you staying in camp alone with the other two. Blizzard, keep an eye on things here." Midnight said before turning and running into the woods, not looking to see if Steel actually followed him or not. It didn't take long for Midnight to find the others, the burnt trees and blast area coupled with a residual field of magical energy were good clues. "What in Equestria happened out here?" Midnight asked the others when he found them, noticing that they all looked fairly beat up.

"Ugh, where is that moron? I've been searching for hours and I haven't seen even a glimpse of him. It's getting dark, I should get back to camp--" Aphrodite said to herself, turning back around to run into some stallion. "Hey, have you seen a red stallion with a blue mane around?" Aphrodite asked, looking up at the stallion. But this wasn't any ordinary stallion.. this was an alicorn!

 

And she had to admit, a bit attractive, too.

Rakon nodded, "A normal person doesn't need a lot of weapons.  Sounds like they are various types of tools he uses for murder.  I do hope he doesn't fool anyone into letting him into the group." Rakon said. "I also wonder what the rest of the folks are up to."  He said glancing in the direction where he thought he saw some lightning.

"Good job." Muttered Kingfisher listlessly to those around her - not quite confirming whether she meant it sarcastically or in seriousness. "Camp's this way, c'mon."

 

Jerking her head towards the trees, she started to retrace her steps back the way she had came.

Orion clutched at his head as he appeared back in the forest. The pain was almost unbearable - casting spells was easy enough but being able to recall knowledge that he had never learned caused such a paradox in his mind...

 

""W... What...?! His eyes were open but the black streak caused by the pain was taking its time to fade away. "How did you follow me?! Why won't you all just... wait..."

 

The mare was speaking to him: no doubt more threats. He shook his head and sound seemed to sharpen back into focus a little, as did his vision. She wasn't one from the clearing.

 

"... Yes. Nggh..Agh!? We did." He said, horn crackling with energy once again: there was only one this time. Maybe she wouldn't be so suicidal.

Aphelion went to and talk to it. The voice inside was him,but with bangs and red eyes 

"Wow first time I saw you since we were kids",  he said

"That is beside the point follow them and then we when time is right beytray them", he said

"No,I won't", he said to the reflection 

The refllection disappered

"Coward", he mummbbled and walking away toward the group.

Pavisa followed along quietly behind Kingfisher, carrying Silver Heart on her back.  She nodded at the others of the group who had shown up to see what happened, but didn't say anything.  She was aching from head to hoof, but even more was the thought that she was going to snap at somepony if she opened her mouth.  He was leaving!  If they had just let him go, everything would have been fine and no one would have been hurt!  Focusing on putting one hoof in front of the other, once they got back to the campsite she moved off to a spot a little ways off from the middle of the clearing.  She laid the unconscious Silver Heart down carefully, placing a hoof lightly on the other pony's forehead.  I think she's going to be alright if she rests for a while...  That's a relief, if nothing else.  She sat down next to the sleeping medical pony, staring off into space while contending with her thoughts.

Willow Starsinger

 

"What to do, what to do.. there's got to be a town here to hide from those ponies.."  Willow eventually found a campsite which she assumed was that group's campsite, since it wasn't that far from where they were. On the way there, though, she saw a white stallion in the distance and decided to ask him for directions to the nearest town so she could wait for Orion. "Um, excuse me, pardon me for the interruption.. is there any town nearby here..?" Willow asked. "And have you seen an alicorn around..?"

 

Aphrodite

 

"I didn't follow you! I didn't even know you existed until now!" Aphrodite scoffed. "Why are you an alicorn? Are you looking for somepony? Are you a spy!?"

"I'll take that as a no"steel said as flew back to the camp, heput the knife back on the pile of his stuff but took small razor that he placed under his wing and out of sight he was sure no pony saw him while he did so, he then reached into his bag and pulled out a canteen and a flask then walked a few feet from the pile and sat down

"Well, whatever happened, it must've been rough. You all look like you had the stuffing beat out of you." Midnight remarked, since the other ponies had stayed silent. He walked with the others back to camp, holding up the rear in case whatever or whoever caused this came back, but it was all quiet. Once he was back at camp Midnight decided that maybe he should stand guard, since he was one of the few ponies not banged up or injured. So keeping his armor on, Midnight walked to the middle of camp and sat down, positioned so he could scan the whole treeline around their camp.

 

Blizzard could tell that whatever that blue glow had been, it must've hurt. He was up on his cloud when the others began coming back, and they all looked rather beat. At this point his determination to stand guard no longer focused on his mistrust of Steel or Crimson, though he still kept an eye on them both, but now it focused more on protecting their group from whoever had been in the woods. "A wonderful first day of our expedition. it's barely night and most of our team has already been taken down in a fight. Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow." Blizzard said sarcastically to himself.

Steel took pull from his flask then flew up to blizzard "hey mind if I keep watch with you"steel asked. He needed to gain the trust of all the ponies if he could not he would have to kill them he just couldn't risk them saying anything about him when the body is found if they police know he was in the area they will automatically suspect him

"Sure, I guess. Just don't try anything." Blizzard said in a lot more relaxed tone than what he's used with Steel so far. He was still plenty suspicious of the pegasus, but with all that had happened today, and how hurt some of his companions were, Blizzard wasn't going to turn down an offer of help.

"Well that's easy. You haven't done anything in particular to earn my trust. You prove you can be trusted and then I might start trusting you. Until then, you'll just have to deal with it." Blizzard said matter-of-factly. He didn't really focus too much on why Steel would ask such a question, even if the answer seemed obvious to him, Blizzard just focused on scanning the area around the camp for signs of danger.

"Where's the idiot got to?" Grumbled Kingfisher, a trace of panic managing to deep into her voice - Red should have been back at camp. There hadn't been any sign of him at the clearing either...

 

'Prob'ly fine...' She thought to herself, not convinced. Instead of dwelling on it, she turned to the group. "Where's the extra come from?"

Orion blinked at the mare.

 

"I'm... yes." He said, unsure how to respond. There was only one mare - she couldn't pose much of a threat, surely. "You're friends just attacked me and my sister. I didn't want to hurt them - they made me. I don't want to hurt you either."

"An Alicorn...?" Redwave repeated Willow's words: this unassuming pony could hardly be the one who had read the Litany but if she knew anything about the one who had...

 

"Canterlot is a way back over..." He stopped and watched her for a brief moment "Are you quite alright my dear? You seem most distressed - may I assist in any way?"

Chivalry walked up to Pavisa angrily with a annoyed look on his face. "Hey you! You idiot, how could you let him get away like that! WE ALMOST HAD HIM AND YOU BLEW IT, YEAH!?" Chivalry yelled at Pavisa. "Now, thanks to none other than you, we have to worry about him in the future! Did you even think that maybe we could have also gotten some information out of him? Of course not, your helmet must be too tight on that thick head of yours!" 

Chivalry couldn't contain his rage. He blamed Pavisa for letting Orion get away which could cause danger for they're group in the future. The information that Orion could have given could have also proved to be informational considering he read half of the litany.

Blast returned to the campsite with the group. Upon returning, he realized that Aphrodite was missing from the site.

"Looks like she left to search for me a while ago. I guess I'm just that hard to keep tabs on." He thought with a small sigh. "Looks like I'm gonna have to depart yet again and got out and find her." Blast once again left the campsite in a red blur. Be began looking through the forest to see if he could spot the mare. The trees made it hard to properly scope her out, and the complete darkness didn't help much. Eventually he came across the mare and screeched to a halt.

"Finally I found yo-" He then turned to see the alicorn from earlier. "Well, look what the cat dragged in. You're still looking for her?"

Crimson sighed as he got back to camp, still sore from his flight across the forest, "the next time I see that alicorn jerk, I'm gonna kick his ass! He's gonna end up hurting a of ponies because of his damned pride!" growled Crimson before finding his previous guard post and sitting down, resuming his watch over the area, still ignoring his clearly broken leg.

"Well Steel, if you really want to prove yourself it will just take time. Save some ponies from dying, protect ponies from threats, do stuff like that and maybe I'll start trusting you. As for the mare, I honestly don't know, you'll have to figure that out on your own if you want to sway her." Blizzard said to Steel, wondering how he'll respond, when he heard some pony from below ask about the newcomer, who Blizzard assumed meant Steel. "Looks like one of our leaders would like to meet you." Blizzard said to Steel, signaling towards Kingfisher.

Steal nodded and jumped off the cloud, steel flicked his wings just before hitting the ground so the landing wouldn't hurt, he could feel the razor hidden under his feathers "hi I'm steel I came from from that way"steel said pointing to the spot he had entered the camp, I was attacked and was bleeding would have bled to death if blizzard and midnight hadn't helped me."steel said as he took a drink from his canteen and then one from his flask.

"What do I have to do to stop you following me?!" Growled Orion as his eyes locked on the aggressive thug from before.

He glanced sideways at the mare who was clearly here with the group that had just tried to kill him. "You... you led them here?" He thought out loud before turning back to the bandit, horn cracking.

"I told you I didn't want to hurt you! You couldn't leave well enough alone, could you?"

Surging from the horn, the bolts of lightning started the circle the Alicorn - rogue sparks emitting from them whenever they came close to anything and leaving deep burn marks behind. He didn't want to risk trying to learn another new spell: each time seemed to make the headaches worse.

"Both of you, leave! Now!"

Kingfisher assessed the pony for a moment: she was used to lies - it was something ponies traveling with Red tended to pick up quickly - but she couldn't pin down just how much of his story wasn't true.
 
"Touch me or Red an' you sleep the long 'un. Otherwise pull ya' weight an' we'll get on fine." She shrugged. "Midnight, Blizzard: keep an eye on him."

 

She wasn't in a position to make decisions like that: Red was better at that sort of thing than she was. Leaving the responsibility to the ones that found him seemed like that best idea.

Turning to face the pony who had destroyed her cover earlier, she shook her head and groaned - with Red missing, the doctor out cold and the rest of the group nursing their own wounds...

 

"Hey, Cap'n smiley. C'mere 'n' let me see ya' leg." She called out to Crimson.
