This looks beautiful. I especially like the detail you put into the wings. My overall favorite part of this canvas, which may seem rather odd, is the sky. The sky just looks... I can't really describe it. It calms me. It reminds me of the simpler times when I would stay awake until sunrise, just so that I could have some time to be alone with my thoughts. I always stared out my open window and gazed upon the sky. 2:34 A.M. was, and still is, my favorite time of the day. It is the time when the sky looks just as you have portrayed it: curious combination of a rich teal and a deep, fading purple. I don't really care if I win now. When I clicked on this thread, my first thought was "Aw yeah: free stuff!" But now... Memories are flooding back into my mind. Ideas that were once lost, fantasies long forgotten... Thank you, Detective Butler. You have pulled my past from betwixt the cracks of my memories and, in doing so, have reminded me of my passion and dream.
