FYI: these are not given in any order except random order.

 

1. Fluttershy: she is cute at times, awesome at others, and very unpredictable. I was not expecting her to be so fierce in some of those episodes. (Dragonshy, The Best Night Ever, etc. )

2. Derpy Hooves: who doesn't love Derp? She is a fun character. I am also on the side of the issue that she should remain Derpy and not become Ditzy. I believe she should have her old eyes and voice. Never change what your audience loves. It's never good.

3. Doctor Whooves: I am a HUGE fan of David Tennant from the epic British TV show Doctor Who. When I first saw him ponified, it made my day. I think I also did a double take.

4. Vinyl Scratch: best DJ pony ever! What more of a reason do you need?!

5. Rainbow Dash: She is awesome and can do Sonic Rainbooms almost at will (A Canterlot Wedding, part 2)

5.5 Zecora: even though she isn't technically a pony, she is a zebra which is still an equine. She always comes up with good rhymes on the spot which I find very impressive and a bit amusing.

5. Twilight Sparkle, again I feel a strong connection to the characters here. She is an intelligent pony poorly equipped for social situations, much like myself.

 

4. Mr. Fancy Pants, okay, I'm being totally biased, bite me. Jonathan Coulton wrote a little song called "Mr. Fancy Pants," I like the song and idolize Mr. Coulton. I'm not big on music and I love him, so with a pony Fancy Pants I can't help but love him... especially how great of a personality he has, he deviated from the crowd to compliment poor Twilight.

 

3. Fluttershy, I just feel empathy when I see her, I tent to have social anxiety as mentioned before and I just feel more like I'm not alone in my stresses.

 

2. Snowflake, hipster time. He's the really muscular guy in Hurricane Fluttershy. He was one of the first extremely abnormal pony designs, he was absolutely hilarious in both physique and the one golden moment where he yells out "yeah!"

 

1. Pinkie Pie. It took me a while, at first I though she was corny, but with time she became one of my favorites. Giggle at the Ghosties helped me through social anxiety, and I think she is just an all around fun, outgoing character.

 

I love most all of the ponies, but these are the top 5 I decided to go with. I'm indecisive so I let myself be a bit biased to make it easier on myself. Bite me.
