I grew up watching the older generations so I of course love generation 1 and pony tales which is also gen 1

I love gen 2 as well it was only a toyline never receiving a show or movie, but it did have a few games.

Gen 3 is not to bad I did watch the episodes and movies which some were good and others not so good as with anything, but I like the figures better then the show or movies.

My favorite would have to be generation 1 since It was a childhood love of mine. I actually still have some of my childhood ponies in my collection.  Generation 3 is my second favorite  gen because I really love the figures and the shows are suprisingly so bad there good. Minty's Christmas being my favorite out of all of them. But I could never like the newborn cuties they still creep me out to this day lol.

That would be G1. I only watched Rescue at Midnight Castle, but I have a soft spot for 80s and early 90s campiness. Plus I like Megan, and if I were to make my own take of G4, I’ll include her :fluttershy:

Spoiler

Just like many other fanworks before me :D

I'm going to have to say G1. They're before my time, but I love their colors, their cute chunkiness, and their timeless aesthetic, and the fact that there's so many varieties, like Flutter Ponies, Sea Ponies, Newborns, and Big Brothers. The show's cheesy, but pretty fun to watch.

I also have a soft spot for G3, because I grew up with them and still have a small fraction of my childhood collection. I think they're very elegant and have beautiful, colorful hair. The movies are kinda dumb, but they're honestly too cute and innocent to hate.

G2's are alright, I'm not interested in collecting them, but I don't dislike them either.

G3.5 is just...no.

G3 and no reason for me to explain why.

G3 is the best! I vividly remember getting my first pony Sunny Daze at Toys R Us!

She was a popular character because she was like Rainbow Dash. My sister loved her a lot and l remember when she drew her when she was a kid.

G1 is the only one I’ve went back to see so far, so I’m gonna default to that. But there’s a lot to like here, when it gets dark it’s shockingly so, when it’s light hearted and adorable it’s heart meltingly precious. Also I was surprised at how much I liked the human character Megan.

Spoiler

She’s unironically a cooler human companion than Spike Witwicky from Transformers ever was lol

G1 with MLP Tales specifically being my favorite animated installment.

The entirety of G1 is a surrealist nightmarescape where nothing makes sense and everyone is always acting, like, really dumb and weird lol. It's also just plain fun to watch, and as much as I like the toys from all gens, G1s read as the most "horsey" and least strange looking to me. Really I'm always surprised to find bronies who don't like G1 given its cartoons are the most alike G4 that we've seen (so far, eyes emoji). It captures both the high fantasy and slice-of-life elements of G4, it's just that these elements are split into two different shows.

Easy! Generation 3

I always knew about my little pony's existence through the toys as a baby, plus G3 was near its end by 2007. I used to have a G3 Pinkie pie toy, or might've been Gen 3.5, I don't remember, that's probably why despite Fluttershy is my favorite pony of G4, I just have a specific emotional attachment to G4 Pinkie Pie.

And not so long ago Youtube had the MLP Princess Promenade free with ads, and ended up finding a free one on search either way, and watched the entirety, and I enjoyed it! In fact, I'm about to give myself a task to watch every single MLP iteration (including the inbetween shows like Tales, 3.5, and Pony Life) because the other gens are rather unappreciated compared to G4

I love Gen 3 :3

Favorite Gen 3 pony? Definitely Wysteria

Gen3!! I still have all my old vhs tapes of pretty much every gen3 movie except for the worlds biggest tea party (which I didn't even knew existed till the other day ahaha)

I even have the pinkie pie birthday ds game, I used to replay it every day and I'd never get tired of it.

G3 is my favorite generation altogether because I adore the toys so much. Everytime I look at the list of them I find another one I must have. D: Lol. I also like G1, I've collected some of Basic Fun's releases and rereleases.

Only one person said G5 since its premiere, wow. G3 is actually the classic generation that I've always been most familiar with...and I do not hold it in high regard at all. I thought it was often agreed to be the poster child of everything wrong with MLP before FiM. My favorite generation besides G4 is definitely G5, and besides that, Tales, Generation 1.5. I got some mild enjoyment out of what I saw of Tales despite it not being that good.
