I think I would get along with Unicorns.  I like unicorns because of the magic ability.  They are more open minded and intellectual as well it seems in the show.  I just think I would share more in common with then than any other pony race.

I would probably get along with the Earth ponies. They are very down to earth, haha, value work and are just as capable of doing other non magic and flight based tasks as everyone else is. I can also appreciate their rural and quiet lifestyles and neighborliness. I also really think the cows are very friendly and someone like Daisy Jo would be interesting and fun to strike a conversation with. She has a lot to say apparently.

I get along with kids well and If the pony I'm talking to is a politician or historian we would probably have a great time. Otherwise it doesn't really matter. Maybe i would visit some insane ponies, listen to their crazy antics for a while safely separated by bars. Speaking of bars, you'll find me in one drinking hard cider most of the time

The race of the pony doesn't matter, it's the contents of their character that is more important, and every pony is different. I'm an animal lover and would enjoy hanging out with any pony type. Alicorns are a bit too royal and godly for my liking so they'd be my last choice to hang out with, but the other three types could all be fun in their own way. I'd like to see some pony magic first hand, and it'd be fun to watch ponies fly too. As for the earth ponies, they may not have any special powers, but they would be the most comfortable for me to be around because of that.

I have to say the more I think about it, the more I can agree with this. It is rather superficial to generalize and judge how we would get along with others based upon their exterior qualities as opposed to inner and individual traits.

 

I'll be honest, I think a lot of unicorns are snobby, elitist, and something similar can be said for me regarding pegasi. But I love characters like Rarity and Fluttershy for who they are and because I better got to know them through the show. Even alicorns when they are brought down to earth are easier to empathize with, not just Twilight but also Cadence, though there's still a lot of work to be done for the latter. And of course there are "bad" people in any group you find, Diamond Tiara is an Earth pony brat and Sunset Shimmer is a big time egomaniac.

 

As I earlier said I do have my biases, but ultimately I can't openly and truly judge other groups and races on such shallow traits and generalizations.

It wouldn't really matter to me because not every earth pony is the same, not every Pegasus is the same and not every Unicorn is the same. There are some I would get along with and some I wouldn't, unicorns for example tend to be the most well educated of the three but as we have seen from Snips and Snails that dosen't apply to all of them.
