this is a drawing i did really on a whim after posting in the " give the pony above you a gift game in the game section on the forum for Sugar Cube . i had to wing it with the eye, couldnt find any references so theres that lol. but this is my first applejack! woot! ponies!

This looks amazing, the neck looks a bit odd on the right (mainly because you have omitted the body).

 

I can see why you did that to get the full mane in though .

 

The shading is great as well, gives a lovely depth and 3d feel.

I think you did quite well with the expression and as well as Applejack herself.  The only thing I see that is a bit off is the nostril seems a bit too close to the line of the muzzle, given the angle of the head (if that made any sense at all).

as of right now....no. i want to do a different "emotion" for each of the mane 6, but whos to say i dont make a vector template and vector all 6 of them that way.

yeah....i know, i thought about freestyling the neck line bu then decided to stick with the vector referance because it hide her mane a bit more and i really wanted that layered look. but i do agree with you !

you 100% right, the nostril it way to high! i must have over looked it and now it will be fixed! thank you for pointing that out!

Its no big, really, i need to draw all of the mane 6 and AJ i have never attempted and she is tied with my favie "rarity": i have to say though, she came out really good other than that nostril thing but hay! That what i get for staying late and trying to finish up at 530 am o.O lol.
