Do you have any plans for the Holidays?

My apologies in advanced if this type of thread already exist, I tried searching it and I couldn't really find anything. 

 

Anyway, more so on to the topic at hand, its really self explanatory. The holidays are very close and, I just wanted this to be more of a general discussion thread about what you are doing or maybe doing for the holidays. I guess it doesn't really have to be a plan pare say,  just something you do or maybe want to do.  

 

You know stuff like:

-Do you have any sort of tradition or thing you do every year?

-Do you have plans on going anywhere?

-Are you looking forward to anything?

-What do you celebrate duing this time of year?

 

_{~Side note: You do not have to answer any of the questions above, its just an example.}

As far as plans go, absolutely nothing; just how I love it. Nothing to worry about, just a period of rest and relaxation.

 

My mom and I have a sort of tradition trying to put together a gingerbread house. Let's just say that you wouldn't see our final result on the front of the box, but it's always fun. I don't really consider this a "plan" though so much as something we always do.

Every year we all go to my grandparents house in California. It's up in the mountains and it snows a lot which is awesome because we don't get much snow in North Carolina. We mostly just hang out and enjoy each others company. My favorite time of year. :3

My holidays will be pretty boring. Most time I will spend studying, because new year will welcome me with lots of exams. Except that I think pretty much same thing as everyone. Dinner with family (and in my case listening to all this talking about money... eh, could always be worse), maybe meeting some friends. And I think that's all... Well, maybe except 31st december. New year without a party is not a new year! I think that is thing I look forward to even if I will probably spend it with my 3 friends (one of them can't really go anywhere, because he had a surgery and I will not leave him alone, no way :3)

For the Xmas holidays my grandparents and cousin (father's side) are coming to visit, then my family's  go visit my other grandparents (mother's side) for the New Year. That'll be pretty cool.

I'm going to be spending christmas eve at my mothers house, then leave that night and drive three hours to my dads, where I will sleep and spend most of christmas day, then that night after dinner I'll drive three hours back to my mothers house where I normally live. It's hectic, but it will be good to see so much family.

Not really so much for the holidays, but i'm going to Six Flags Fiesta Texas on the 21st.

They decorate the park with a crap ton of christmas lights, serve christmassy food and have christmas themed shows.

Its really quite spectacular, we drove up there last year with the high school band. The Jazz band gets to play a show there, and my brother is in it. Plus, I really want to ride the Iron Rattler

For christmas, we always go to my grandmother's house, feast, be merry, and open gifts.

Well. Having my whole family over for christmas day this year. Everybody is going to be bringing something different

Food,drinks,ect.

 

Looking forward to talking to my nephew about the new camera I have. And photography as he is a expert photographer himself. Also in the aspect that he liked my minimalistic RD profilr pic on Facebook so yeah. That might be brought up. But looking forward to it all in general. Being able to talk to some of my family members. And playing some wii downstairs. XD

My family doesn't really do anything big for Christmas. We usually just stay home or go to my uncle's farm and have some lunch before opening gifts. After that, we all just go home and take a nap or something. The holiday season is very chill (horrible pun) for us.

 

A couple years ago, though, my family had gotten into the tradition of going down to Texas every winter to escape the cold.

Basically, every year, I go up on my moms mom (Grandma Griffith) on Christmas Eve and we have a big dinner, hang with the family and open gifts. During Christmas day, we go to my Grandpa's (Which, my Grandma Marcum, dads mom passed away 2 months ago, so its now just my Grandpa) and do the same thing. Have dinner, hang out, and open gifts. BUT, after my grandma who passed 2 months ago, this Christmas is gonna be hard :/ but, we still gotta carry on.

My family's usual big plans for the Christmas holidays is to plan a big lunch on Christmas Day. We also go for late night drives to see the Christmas decorations around town.
