ooc Pokemon Gijinka Academy (Reboot!)

Oh hey, we're back up!  I have a post in mind but I've been wanting to ask this for a couple days:  What are we going to do about classes?  At one point we'd said we'd mostly skip them, but I was also wondering if we should all be on the same schedule for simplicity sake?

 

Also, if we have classes without a teacher yet, I still haven't picked a subject for Darius to teach.  We can plug him into any of them.

 

I say we skip most of them except for maybe, as stated before, Battle Class. But only if something interesting were to happen. And I guess I could have Fernmint teach something else as well.

I think this class, at least, will have some kind of action going on. I mean, how many characters do we have? It would probably be good for everyone to have the same schedule if we're under 30, since that's about the size of your average public school class.

Same with Gen 5, but just in case you were curious Flareon did get some help in Gen 6 XD  They added Flare Blitz to his move pool, at least.  Something that lets him actually pack a punch

Really, now that's interesting. Who's the weakest Eeveelution now? I'm guessing Jolteon. I guess Vaporeon and Espeon are still the top hitters, right?

As far as I know, competetively speaking, I think it's either Leafeon or Glaceon.  I know Vaporeon is still super popular, and Espeon is still great with Magic Bounce.  I really don't know how Sylveon compares - great Sp.Def and Sp.Atk though.

Wait, what? There's a Fairy Type and new Eeveelution? Wow, I'm out of the loop. I remember that in the 4th Gen, the Pokemon that made me cringe the most were Dark Voiding Darkrais, Giratina and Vaporeon's walling and sweeping abilities, Dragonite due to a bad experience with Lance spamming Dragon Rush, Miltank due to Whitney making me hate them, and Palkias using Spacial Rend

I can't speak from experience, never using the Eeveelutions, but he looks cool, just has lame stats compared to the god that is Vaporeon and Espeon

Jolteon is an amazing sweeper / revenge killer.  Base 130 speed and base 110 Sp.Atk make for a great revenge killer, or it can abuse substitute on the expected switches before doing fast baton passes to his team

Until it faces any one with Special Defense, then it goes down like a sack of bricks. It's too specialized, which for me, resulted in me crushing my friend constantly.

 

My screen name was "Eraticate" and I used nothing but Raticates while my buddy just used Eeveelutions and went by "Evolve" His Jolteon and Flareon always went down first. Granted I was using a Guts Raticate with Hyper Fang, but still. 

 

Anyone else think that Normal Types are underrated? Tauros, Raticate, Ursaring, Slaking, and Snorlax are beasts

giratina can be in fact bulky it depends on what form it is and what EV's it has. but not as bulky as vaporeon

Not a fan of Slaking because of his ability, but I like the others you listed.  Tauros especially, he's a powerhouse.  Most of the pokemon I end up liking / using the most don't end up doing well competetively, but I still like using them just to see how people react when I manage to win with them.  If you know how to use something properly you can make it a threat, after all

 

Still, Jolteon is tough enough to be ranked OU by Smogon tiers (Don't follow them religiously like some people do, but gotta admit that they're nice to look up tips on move lists).  Sure a special tank can wall him, but with those two awesome stats he makes a wicked revenge killer.  Switch in after a pokemon goes down, get off the thunderbolt, then volt switch out of the expected counter.

 

Though, I still plan to breed an entire team of Shuckle on my Y just so I can go troll people online.  Contrary ability Shuckle with Shell Smash and Rest-talk?  *giggles*

Fun, I just use the teams my old friend used. He goes by "Princeboo21" on Youtube and while he has stopped playing Pokemon, I basically copied all of his teams and use them myself. In another words, nothing but UUs and NUs. I do use OUs and Ubers on occasion, but I make sure to use them differently, like making a Special Gyrados
