That awkward moment...

Don't you just hate that awkward moment where you find something you weren't supposed to or do something horribly stupid? (That kind of stuff happens to me daily). My awkward moment was when someone told me they kind-of likes me. I could not look them in the eye for 3 months, if not, more. Awkward...

This is an excellent point to bring up!

Awkward moments? I told everyone in my troop that I could shut them up with four words. They said that they would like to see me try. I them proclaimed that I was a brony. And, sure enough, it shut everyone up. For about three minutes, mind you, but I did it.

But... then again, no one would look me in the eye- nor, I would look any of them in the eye- for about the next six months. Ergh.

Well, it was less awkward for me and more slightly hate raged.

But this is definitely an awkward moment for me. Since I'm practically a LGBT Rights activist and the fact that I'm pretty much openingly gay at school yesterday a guy tried to kiss me at rowing, like full on puckered lips and going straight for my mouth. But I hit him in the throat when I saw him coming and he had to sit out the entire session because he was having trouble breathing.

I think it was the most awkward thing in his life, and slightly mine because I had to sit out the same sess due to my feet and my docs not wanting me in the water. I stayed about a good 50 metres from him at all times that day

@@repsol rave,

I said bloody hell, but I think it was instinct for the most part. The dude had been a bully to me ever since I came out that I was saipiosexual and a duachebag to everyone else that I know. Us nerds band together during recess and lunch so its harder for bullies to target one of us if there's a whole bunch.

But to possibly make another awkward moment, Sly cooper up top there is my boyfriend! :)

Well, I remember this one awkward moment I had, this one bully whom I trolololed the day before when he was trying to bully me brought a big-ass knife and tried to kill me. Anyway, as he was about to... Well, slit my throat, the school security came up behind him and pulled judo crap all up on his ass, and what made that awkward was the fact that I was talking to my bro when this all went down, so I had to figure out a way to resume whatever it was that we were talkin' about, but because of the one guy's failed murder attempt we had a fifteen minute awkward silence.

Some time ago my grandmother was going on her friend's funeral. I told her to "have fun". To this day I have no idea, what the hell was I thinking about back then. That was so awkward...

"I had to attend a training session at work with a supervisor. The supervisor's presentation included a segment on what kind of reports I should be turning in as work product.

When he opened a Powerpoint example, I laughed because it was so bad I assumed it was an example of what not to do: black background, neon green and blue text with drop shadow, multiple font sizes, and some sort of shape effect on every single graphic.

Turns out that is legitimately what my supervisors think is a cool, hip, infographic style presentation. I tried several times to apologize and also explain that I've had a bit of actual graphic design training.

Supervisor claimed that it was totally fine but then pulled me aside a little while later to tell me that he's concerned I'm not "buying in" to my membership in our corporate team. Pretty sure if this guy had any control over my employment status I would have just lost my job."

OT: I haven't had too many awkward moments, but I did call my grandmother old to a friend whilst she stood behind me. That was a little awkward :P

My most awkward moment was probably when I walked in to my science class yelling "Hey everyone, I'm back!" Everyone shushed me and the teacher gave me a look saying "Seriously!? Why?" I then realized that everyone was silent and listening to the weather radio because of the tornado that was heading our way...

I've had many an awkward moment in life. One of the worst almost cost me my job. I was working at a gamestop in a mall. Many times did people leave their trash on my counter. One evening I walk threw the store a notice a Starbucks cup sitting there. It was empty and had latte all over it. I looked at my co worker and said "assholes always leaving their trash" the guy behind me pipes up with, "that's mine I just had to set it down." I just said sorry awkwardly and walked away. To this day I don't know if he planned on leaving it or not but I still got in trouble.

When I was in CA and I was about to say goodbye to someone and hug them (I was drying dishes at the time for the record) and, I had a large knife in my hand which didn't think to put down until I saw the uncomfortable look on the guy's face, eeep awkwarddd haha.

One time whenever I hugged someone who I forgot didn't like hugs and she didn't hug me back.

Totally forgetting a friend of mine isn't ticklish and randomly poking her only to get a slightly awkward smile and her looking at me......

(another time in CA) I was in the bathroom (I used the guys bathroom a lot because of the fact that it was closer than going to the house where the girls stayed) and one of my guys friend's walked in on me.

Another fun time awkward (kind of amusing though) I was in the bathroom and someone (haha a guy friend, surprise surprise) sat down in the other stall and randomly started speaking spanish to me, he thought I was someone else.....

I'm sure there's MANY more (some I'd rather not post) but that's all I can really think of atm. I may post more later.

When showing up to a formal event in a "monkey suit" does not mean what you thought it meant...

(Fortunately, or sadly, depending on your perspective, this has never happened to me)

On a serious note, I've had some hardcore awkward moments which I have yet to reveal to anyone, even the only person I can trust, one the date of which has been burned in my memory to haunt me into the foreseeable future, but ya'll don't get to hear that one. One of the more mild ones: Getting drunk enough for it to be used as an excuse just to say something to someone that I was too scared to say. I don't regret saying it, but I do regret only saying it that one time...
