Do You Have Emotional Ties To Any Of The Ponies?

One of the many reasons I like Pinkie Pie so much is I adore her personality and how self sacrificing she is to her friends and anyone else. To me having a friend such as that I could trust with anything and her cheerful attitude would be a great company to have. 

 

Now as for Cheerilee why I have taken a liking towards her character so much... Idk in some ways I think I can relate in some aspects... I think she is one of those characters that may get overlooked a lot of times. I know everyone see's character with different eyes. But I tend to see like if she had a bad past with relationships in a sense and now is undecided or contemplating on bothering with. That is something I could relate to as I have been done wrong in past relationships, well the last two I was in with a girl. I see that in her character due to some of the clips of the show which kind of portrays a "lonely" type of atmosphere around her character. Maybe some of the fanfics I have read of her *NOT Cheerilees Garden god that was messed up* have caused me to like her a tad bit more too :3. That and I also like that she seems to have a very kind and caring heart that a mother would have something I find that makes her character stand out to me. ~ There needs to be more character development towards her though imo! But yeah that is why I like Cheerilee a lot now.

I'd have to say I relate Fluttershy the most. I'm extremely shy, tending to be pushed around quite often. I find it much easier to befriend animals than actual people since they make me normally nervous. I'm not really scared of anything though, so that's where I draw the line with Fluttershy.

A certain topic earlier today accomplished something I have never seen in any topic ever and that was near universal opposition. And so I thought for a second that much of this opposition is due to the fact that people have strong emotional ties to these ponies and to some of these people suggesting something such as suicide even if it is not meant to be entirely serious is seen as almost like suggesting the same for a real person. But there are several people including myself that can occasionally enjoy a bit of darkness every now and then that still have similar ties to the ponies. It is very well known on here that I have a crush on Applejack and am one of the most outspoken fans of Applejack as well as Luna on here and have also developed strong ties to other ponies such as Twilight Sparkle, Derpy, Rainbow Dash and Sweetie Belle all for different reasons.

 

But the reason why Applejack in particular stands out is both because I can relate to her the most out of the ponies, she is the first pony I started to like and the first character in general I started to like aside from Discord (Return of Harmony two parter was the episodes I ever watched) which makes her special for that reason alone. And because she has traits which I find highly admirable and inspirational, the fact that she has was able to survive something as traumatic as her parents dying at such a young age and grow up to be so strong really speaks to me. I have had no shortage of tragedy in my life and my Dad dying is the most recent which really made Apple Family Reunion the episode that really tugged at my heart strings and finally made me decide what my favorite Applejack episode is.

   I have an emotional tie to all of the ponies, for in one form or another I have been in similar scenarios the ponies have. I have done and seen things the mane six can fathom, from the pursuit of knowledge and work discipline of Twilight Sparkle; to the family connection of Applejack; to the brave endeavour of Fluttershy; to the charisma of Pinkie Pie; to the charm of Rarity and the strength of Rainbow Dash, no one pony has an emotional connection to me. The complexity and diversity of each character will always appeal to me, as it has for some bronies, since the strengths and flaws of each pony reminds us of someone, and how we desire to improve our surroundings, although I do have my favourite ponies, I enjoy seeing all of them and how they interact in their habitat, because of the repeatability we have with some or all of the ponies, whether it's the mane six or the cutie mark crusaders, the close emotional context we share, will bind us to more than just to the ponies but to the other fans.

I find all the Mane 6 (and even CMC) ponies relatable to some degree, so I also have a fair bit of emotion invested in each of them. I don't think I have a particularly strong or meaningful connection to any of them as some other folks do, though. Unless you count my extreme sense of "d'awww" for Sweetie Belle.

Rainbow Dash, because she has the personality of the person I've always wanted o be. She's courageous, loyal, dependable, and I really look up to her. She's not afraid to be who she is and do what she wants, she can stand up to bullies effectively and never allows herself to be pushed around. She accomplishes her goals and will stop at nothing to reach them. That's who I want to be.

 

Fluttershy is the opposite. She represents the traits of myself that I hate most. My shyness, my social anxiety, the fact that I'm a complete pushover. All of those personality traits really shine through with her and that's why I've always placed her very low on my list of favourites. She has the personality traits that I wish I never had, she's the person I never wanted to be.

I disagree with him too. It's one the best, despite that one moment (if you know what I'm talking about). That episode caused my initial emotional tie with Twilight.

That's a part of that moment, which again, caused my emotional tie with Twilight. You forgot two other things that contributed to that moment.

I'm not sure whether I have any deep emotional ties to any of the ponies. Nevertheless, I often see my crush in Fluttershy whenever I see her in an episode because she acts so much like her in so many ways. She gets squeamish around strangers, she can be assertive when she wants to be, and she is very kind towards her friends, even if it seems like she doesn't have a voice.

 

Encountering what could be a human Fluttershy in real life... Well that's why I often feel so giddy and light-hearted when I hear Fluttershy's voice!

I think that sight of true emotional tie with any character is a dreams. If you see pony in your dreams, it's means that you have emotional tie to her. Well, it looks like i haven't got any emotional tie yet. Maybe it's because I started to watch MLP just month ago, maybe because i'm not so sensitive.

I have emotional tie mainly with Twilight, since I relate to her a lot. We are both bookworms and introverts who are not really into social life. We both have only small group of friends we adore, but we hate parties, and usually only attend those just not to offend our friends. We both look highly on our teachers, sometimes even idealizing them. I must say that she became my inspiration from the first time I watched the show, and she still is. She's just me. Okay, silently more assertive and self-confident version of me.

 

I also empathize with Luna, since we both have this "darkness" inside of us we try to overcome but can't. I often wonder how she must have felt being banished to the Moon for 1000 years, left all alone. I truly understand why she became so lonely. She still is, in a way.

 

Apart from these two, I also have some connection with Flutters, RD and some other, but not even closely this strong. Anyway, I do think I have a connection with ponies from the show in general, since this show became a great part of my life, and who I am. So... don't touch my ponies, please!

I feel the same way when I hear Applejack's voice and that is one of the reasons why, she has such a sexy voice it makes melt sometimes. If I met a girl like Applejack my heart would probably never stop pounding, this one girl I have a crush on in real life is a lot like Pinkie Pie but has a fair amount of Applejack in her too.

That is how I was for most of my childhood and all of my teen years except during me teen years I became stronger and more confident when I found my inner Applejack. The Twilight side of me still has a strong influence in many ways though.

It is pretty much the same with me and Luna, I had a very nasty temper in my teen years and did a lot of things I am not proud of by lashing out at innocent people some of them close friends and family. Much of this due to how I was often singled out and made fun of for being different and how some have stabbed me in the back. And I am a sucker for a good redemption story and hers is the best I have seen since Darth Revan's redemption in Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic.

Well... Twilight used to be my favorite, back when she was still a snarky, socially awkward, ver introverted, mildly cynical pony. Lesson zero was a hauntingly familiar scenario for me, for I also tend to go haywire with worries about school. Plus purple is my favorite color, lol.

 

Twilight's lost her spunk over time and I don't really feel like I relate to her anymore though.

My new favorite is Rarity. I emotionally relate to her strong creative artistic streak. She has an appreciation for the beautiful things in life, and also is a hard worker, which I find admirable. She has a bit of an ego and is full of self confidence, which I happen to lack. Considering my lack of confidence, Rarity has somewhat inspired me to be more open about my strengths. Her personality is pretty much opposite to mine, but many of her natural traits are those which I wish to improve in myself. Also, purple mane *-*
