It isn't that much to add, but she did say Weird Al would show up and OH SNAP. Also, some of the ep titles are being used.

I doubt it.

In fact, I've never really seen the connection. Tenant stopped playing the Doctor (worst hero name ever, IMO) not long after the show started.

Plus, I'm not sure how he feels about people seeing his likeness in a cute little cartoon horse ("Those Brony wankers..." :okiedokielokie:) , so I don't even think he's interested.

as the grand high ruler of all things objective i will now pass sentence on this theory.

It is in my extensive powers that i find this to be 100 percent

Fact that is to be taken as the word of God
I've had a heated debate with my cat, and he reluctantly agrees.

First off, i'm pretty sure he's called the Doctor because it's a degree (Doctorette) or something, kinda like how 'The Master' also is related to a degree (Master's Degree)

Also in a hub game the Master, Doctor, and Derpy are standing side by side.

Something to think about.

Also he played the doctor for 3 full seasons. Thats 3x as many as the first/techniclly ninth guy.

This one i'm going with a 50/50 of being true. But I'm going with not true.

Yes the Doctor is another fan favorite character, but just because he is in the background a lot doesn't mean they are going to give him a voice. There are a bunch of background characters people want to here. That and I always thought Bulk Biceps was that character. And even if he does play that character I don't think it will involve anything with Doctor Who character or show.

Still it could be a true thing, but I'm not going to place high hopes on it.

Also what does the spool of thread have to do with the Doctor?

No.

They put the reference in the Gameloft Game as a reference. The only reason they thought to do so was because fans liked the idea of it. Otherwise, he would be nameless pony 3, with his very obvious non-British accent.

The difference between Weird Al and David Tennant is that Weird Al was not included in an April Fools post, Weird Al took a small video with a fan who was a brony, and he offhandedly and jokingly said, "Who knows, maybe I might be on the show one of these days." The guys and gals working on the show ended up asking him due to popular demand from the fans, and he accepted because he's a fun lovin' silly guy.

Hooves and Roseluck/Rose is a mere coincidence. He's shown up next to may other ponies, some more than once.

The Hub posted the Doc Hooves pic because of the addition of the fan name (Note, Derpy was also named due to fans), and they wanted to celebrate Doctor Who. Plenty of other people did the same thing, releasing Doctor Who related pics.

Skyrim and Modern Warfare 3 were released on 11/11/11, which was also Rememberance day, but that does not mean any of those are related in any way. Neither does anything released on the same date.

BBC makes a reference to an MLP reference that was added due to fan references.

There are many background ponies that have a chance to get a screen name. Derpy Hooves got one. Why does it absolutely have to be Doc Hooves? Besides, he already has an official name, according to many, many products.

Spool of thread was one of the keys. Just like Rainbow Dash's medal. They both shined like the rainbow, and the rainbows are a recurring theme with the Elements of Harmony. Ever since the beginning.

Vinyl Scratch is also in the rainbow set. It's just a marketing thing. For all you know Vinyl Scratch could be getting a larger role in the show instead. There isn't even a guarantee anyone is getting a role in the show. Many other background ponies have been featured in plenty of other sets, but they don't get larger speaking roles.

David Tennant was the Doctor for a long time, actually.  He got so attached to his part that he regretted leaving the show and literally cried and said "I don't want to go."

Doctor is a very good name for a hero, in my opinion.  The Doctor is the man who makes it all better.  He heals broken worlds and takes care of people in a gentle, loving way.  What better kind of hero is there?  During the one time in his life when he was a warrior, he stopped calling himself Doctor.

Also, I'm pretty sure David would be thrilled at the idea of being a pony.  He's just that kind of geeky, fun person.  Matt would probably enjoy it even more, though.  It's just too bad he didn't get made into a pony.  (Actually, I think he did, but that one isn't as popular as the Tennant one.)

Doctor Hooves has already had a couple of speaking lines before, but I didn't like his voice.  I hope they don't give him any more unless they're going to actually let him have a Scottish accent like the Doctor.  :I
