Equestria Girls on TV?

Now I am living in Middle Europe and we still have the Saturday MLP around 10-11 AM. Because hungarian VAs are weird I rarely watch any of it but there are times when I just want to take a peek at it. So today I did the same and as I switched channels I had a small glimpse of "My Little Pony Equestria Girls"  and I was very surprised. It was not a commercial but it was in the ...eeh.. Digital TV Program...thingy (I have no idea what it's called ) 
So I checked the site of the channel to confirm this and EG was at 8AM ...Since this Digital-TV-Program-Thingy is buggy I was not surprised when I saw it at 11AM.
What are you guys thoughts on this? This really surprises me or maybe I'm just a slowpoke who does not pay any attention to the stuff happening in the fandom.
(I'm not so sure if theres a thread a like this already but if there is, feel free to slap me in the face.)

Never had MLP in my country. But I don't like the idea of Equestria Girls on TV because you can just watch in youtube

With the news that there's MLP for FIVE YEARS! A good chunk of the target audience will be teens, so, I wouldn't be surprised if that happened someday

Having Equestria Girls as a series wouldn't make me mad, but I just wouldn't get the feel of the series.

If there was an Equestria girls television series, I'd watch it! I quite enjoyed the movie, a television series would be great!

I would see it on TV but with YouTube and the DVDs, I don't know............

The movie was pretty ok, but making a series is a terrible idea. ._.
