So, what movies or plays would you want to see reenacted by ponies?

 

I would like Wicked to be reenacted. Twilight is Galinda, Trixie is Elphaba, Nightmare Moon is The Wizard. Rarity could be Nerrasoe.

I want Pulp Fiction, 300, Full Metal Jacket, Sharknado,  and Saving Private Ryan are some things that need to be reenacted by ponies.

 

Oh, I almost forgot, they should do a "Mares Gone Wild" reproduction of "Girls Gone Wild"

Don't know if this counts, but I would personally love to see DBZ reinacted by ponies after reading so many awesome crossover fics about it!

Any movie legitimately recreated with ponies - scene for scene, full length - would be dumb and awful. FiM is a good show. Why turn it into something horrible by poisoning cinema with it? The very notion is a perfect example of how this fandom is akin to a virus.

 

 

That said: Super-abridged versions of films, done with ponies. Or even just popular scenes from movies. That could be amusing.

 

 

 

Applejack and Pinkie Pie break into a house. Twilight and Derpy are there. Derpy's eating a tasty burger. Applejack and Derpy have a dialogue:

 

Applejack: "What country are you from?!"

 

Derpy: *every response preceded or followed by a Derpy giggle* "What?"

 

Applejack: "What ain't no country I ever heard of! They speak Equestrian in what?!"

 

Derpy: *giggle* "What?"

 

Applejack: "SAY WHAT AGAIN, MOTHERBUCKER, I DARE YA!"

 

Derpy: *cute head tilt* "...What?"

 

Applejack: *shakes up a bottle of apple cider, cork pops out, hits Derpy's forehead, she falls unconscious toon-style, stars around her head and everything*

 

 

 

 

Later, Applejack and Pinkie Pie are driving in a car, talking about French cheeseburgers or God or whatever. All of a sudden, Pinkie turns to a frightened Twilight in the back seat. She has a party cannon at the ready...Then...

 

"I just shot Twilight in the face!"

"Well, what the buck did you do that for?!"

 

Obviously, Fluttershy would play the cleaner (the guy who cleans up the evidence) in the follow-up scene.

I have to admit I agree to this. This whole "ponies make everything better" sensation tends to go overboard at times. This is why I don't like "remakes" like Pony Fantasy 6. It tries to transpose MLP:FiM characters into a world and plot they have little to no place in, not to mention it ignores the significance of each character and throws that out in part by having a 99% female cast.

 

That said I do think I can name a few films that would be interesting if redone with ponies. Braveheart with Rainbow Dash would be funny and interesting, though I'm not sure if fans would appreciate seeing Dash hang drawn and quartered. Applejack would make for a funny and interesting Red Dead Redemption protagonist too and she or Big MacIntosh would make for great leads in the Dollars Trilogy of Clint Eastwood Westerns.
