Now that the Next Generation Consoles are out, I look back at the awesome games of the past...

I personally love my N64, and my favourite games are tied between Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask...

I want to know what you people think.

Kirby's Dream land

And this may sound weird but my old Pokemon games I got from when I lived in Vietnam, they were either hacked to death fakes or rubbish copies but when I was young I though they were the real games because they were the only ones I had ever seen.

And yeah the N64!

SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL ...When my disc stopped working I cried ...so many memories were in that.

All Legend of Zelda games too!

My McDonalds Spyro games that I couldn't play correctly (and had short-life batteries), and my Whack-a-Mole video game (which I actually still own). That's seriously all I had as a kid (besides maybe a ROM or two). Wait, do CD-ROM games count? Cuz I had a TON of those! (If only I could find my old Oregon Trail game...)

Good ol' Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros., Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo-Tooie on the N64 and Crash Bandicoot 1-3, Crash Team Racing and Crash Bash on the PS1 really shine for me.

Banjo-Kazooie- Banjo Kazooie, an interesting game, but one of the greatest nonetheless. I played it first when I was 6 or 7 with my fond (and belated) N64 memories. (Tooie is also really good)

Dr. Mario 64- I remember playing through the single player of this game. It was outrageously fun. It also had some of the greatest versus type modes to ever grace video gaming. So many fuzzy memories.

Donkey Kong 64- My first platformer. It was AMAZING. Kind of clunky, but it really is one of the very best of the platforming genre.

Gex 64: Enter the Gecko- I remember going to get this game at Gamecrazy when I was 7-ish. It WAS OFF THE WALLS entertaining. Pop culture references EVERYWHERE. Gex was also an extremely fun character, in fact among my favorites in HISTORY.

Star Fox 64- I have a few memories. Like the first time I beat Andross. It's not the best Star Fox in my opinion (That ACTUALLY goes to Star Fox: Assault)

Final Fantasy 4- I actually never played this game until I was about 13.

Super Mario 64- Well, it's kind of nostalgic. But I still prefer the DS version (one of my top 5 games of ALL TIME) But, it was still a nostalgic and fun experience.

Pokemon Yellow- My first RPG, second video game I ever played. This gem is my earlier childhood in a nutshell. (Pikachu best starter)

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards- My first Kirby game (only have played five of them). Pix is among my favorite bosses of ALL TIME.

Pokemon STADIUM- Stadium is all caps because I mistake it for Coliseum all the time. I don't know why. But this was... Well, greatness in a nutshell. After playing Yellow, this was a refreshing pokemon experience. It was my second pokemon game.

Super Smash Bros.- My first video game EVER. This game holds SO MANY nostalgic memories. But it wasn't all that great

GameCube as a CONSOLE- This was my third console. My first two obviously the N64 and GBC. But it is the most nostalgic. I remember that moment I unlocked Mr. Game and Watch in Melee. I was like "What's a Mr. Game and Watch?" It ended up becoming one of my favorite characters in the ENTIRE series. Mario Party 7 was a blast, remember that one time I beat COMs by about... I think 11 Stars? That was ridiculous. Or the first time I beat Metroid Prime 2. I found the ending interesting. Apparently Dark Samus is beastly, regenerating after such a beating. (Only happens with 100% power-ups received). But I guess I was a completionist when I was younger.

Alright, let's get the big three out of the way first...

Sonic Adventure 1+2, yes, the voice acting is horrible by today's standards, but I can't help but love them.

Super Mario World, the first game I ever played.

Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow, the games that really got me into gaming.

Some of my other nostalgic fixes:

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe

Banjo-Kazooie

Roller Coaster Tycoon

Zoo Tycoon with expansions. Guest 295 doesn't like my park? Fine. *deletes the trex cage and blocks the park entrance*

Like a lot people who posted b4 me in this topic, I can always go back to Super Mario 64 and have a good time.

I remember playing that game for the first time back in Christmas 1998. I received an N64 for my 5th birthday and it was bundled with 2 games: Ocarina of Time, and Mario 64. At the time I had no idea how to play Zelda, so I ignored it and went straight to SM 64. I was instantly hooked.

I have sooooooo many memories with that game. The levels, gameplay, graphics, everything was amazing. It set a bar that video games of the future have yet to bring down imo.

Oh, and how could I forget mentioning the music? The music is where it's really at! So nostalgic whenever I listen to tunes like Bob-Omb Battlfield or Dire Dire Docks (probably in my top 5 favorite video game songs of all time ).

So yeah, Super Mario 64. Came out for the Nintendo 64 back in 1996 & 18 years later, it has aged masterfully. It's certainly a 10/10 in my eyes.

Considering my age there may be one or two of these, people wouldn't consider old school (Pokemon Leaf Green for instance) but to me they're a childhood memory.

Spyro 2 - PS2

Metal Gear Solid 2 - PS2

Super Mario Deluxe - Gameboy Color

Pokemon Leaf Green - Gameboy Advance

I played almost all of them completely as a kid (except MGS2 for obvious reasons), but I loved to play Spyro, Super Mario and Pokemon all the time.

Gotta love that derpy :3
