Who wins in this battle? IDK why it's so popular, probably because both are flagships for their respective companies and are really popular.

In any case, I say Spider-Man rips Batman in half with minimal effort. He's three times as strong as Bane of Killer Croc and at least 40x faster. Adding to that his webbing and Spider Sense, he's got this in the bag.

I know some people disagree, so let's have a debate thread

I really hope vs threads are allowed

Rules

Both fighters have no knowledge of the other and carry standard gear. Assume this is a random encounter.

The location is NYC

Both are going for the kill and have no morals

We're using the canon comic versions of both characters

Give evidence to support your argument

@@Malinter,

IDK, Spiderman's a good prepper too. Remember the Iron Spider suit? Batman is better at prep, sure, but Spiderman isn't that bad at it either. A lot of his foes have been defeated by prep, actually

But Batman is almost insane in his plans. Hell, his plans have plans and in the folds of those plans are other plans.

So does Spiderman. The Iron Spider thing is a good example of that. He outsmarted Tony Stark of all people

Spider-man's spider sense is not to be taken so lightly. He can dodge laser projectiles, which travel at light speed, at point-blank range!

Peter has little to no combat training, but his spider sense allows him to hold his own against people like Punisher, Wolverine, or, well, Batman.

And by the way Wolverine is not just the tank you may think he is, he has had centuries of fighting experience, he has trained in many different fighting styles just like Batman, but for much longer, he has fought in WWI, and alongside Cap in WWII and some other wars as well. Spider-man is only about nineteen years old, and he can hold his own against him.

He can know exactly when and where to dodge, and exactly when and where to hit using his spider-sense. And I don't care what the comics or the movies show, they are just trying to make the fight look more exciting. The truth is that until he gets tired, Spider-man is practically untouchable

@@Pat.Rio.T.,

BTW, in the Spider Island Arc, Spider-Man trained with Shang Chi, a master martial artist. Even against other Spider powered foes, Spider-Man was trashing them. So his skill isn't anything to sneeze at.

I do find it odd how you bring up Wolverine and Punisher since every time they fight Spider-Man...it doesn't end well. Wolverine ended up begging for mercy and just sitting prone on the ground while Spider-Man beat him up. Punisher....Spider-Man was about to drop a car on him

Not to be a buzzkill, but I think someone may have already answered your question for you. How?

Why, by a Death Battle of course!

Regardless of the outcome of the video, my vote would still be on Batman. He has a database on how to beat every super powered hero in the DC universe for a reason, so how hard would it be to make one for Spiderman?

Isn't there a chemical that completely fucks spiderman over if he so much as touches it? Thats why i always say Batman would win in a planned fight. He'd get some before hand and modify his tools to use it.

@@PoisonClaw,

Death Battle is a crappy source. Superman would kick Goku's ass(I admit that is true), but they did underrate Goku with the 40 tons feat and not using power scaling, a critical thing in DBZ. Before you call me a fanboy, again. Goku would still get destroyed, but his stats were wrong

@@Malinter,

It used to be bug spray, it doesn't work anymore. Now, Anti-Venom/Eddie Brock can drain Spider-Man's powers....but Anti-Venom likes Spider-Man and wouldn't help someone attack him.

There's also Devil's Breath from Mr. Negative....but Black Cat switched it out for pig's blood so it won't work

Didn't Reed Richards (the biggest dick in Marvel verse and that's saying something) said that if Peter Parker had dedicated his life to science, his intellect would rival his own?

I don't remember that. I do know that Reed said that Doc Ock surpassed him in many areas, and Spider-Man has beaten him many times

Spiderman easily stomps Batman here as Spiderman is just simply much stronger, faster, durable compared to him, especially without his prep, which even with it Spiderman can match it considering how underrated his intellect is and that Peter is also good with prep time.

@@Nuke87654,

I've got plenty of Spiderman feats too, dropping a truck on Punisher being one of them. Here's another one

199619-165980_1051072_feat13strengthqb6_

That's the kind of strength that would make Killer Croc wet himself. Batman has enough trouble dealing with him as it is, how is he going to deal with having a train dumped on his head?

Not much, especially against someone who can largely negate his stealth with spider sense and has web that enough of can give even the Incredible Hulk fits.

@@Adorkable,

Spider-Man's first punch would have turned Batman's innards to mush. All of Batman's hits wouldn't have even flinched Spidey. That's how big a power difference we are talking here

Honestly, I think it's sort of silly to think about  this kind of thing

Why would either of them waste time fighting each other when the two of them could team up and kick a bunch of villain booty?

How is martial arts going to help when your best punch won't even move Spiderman?!

This is what happens when ordinary humans punch Spider-Man. Not that Spiderman will get hit, not when he can dodge bullets after they're fired

Good evidence, even when he can dodge with his Spider sense. Although, even with his best punch Batman can find any way to deflect it and turn the tables in his favor.
