Christian messages in FIM

I just wanted to see if any Christian bronies/pegasisters could find some Christian messages in any of the show's episodes. These are some I know:

Matthew 5:44 and Luke 6:27 say to love your enemies and do good to those that hate you.

There's a few other verses that say this too.

I think this verse goes well with Keep Calm and Flutter On with the way Fluttershy treated Discord.

The Bible says to forgive one another, including enemies. This also goes well with Magic Duel when Twilight forgave Trixie.

The show glorifies friendship, which is also glorified in the Bible. Are there any more that any of you have seen?

All I actually wanted to know was if there were any other messages in the show that are also said in the Bible, because I think I gave the wrong idea about what this topic is about.

Not Christian messages, necessarily.

Just lessons on how to be decent human being and not be a d*ck.

Only trouble is, the word 'decent' and its definition are things we humans have come up with, and definitely don't apply to everything. So, by nature's laws, there is no real good or bad, morals are something you either follow or you don't.

Equestria's world system is wishful thinking by us but it is definitely not how the world works and will ever work. In real life, if we had a person capable of controlling forces such as the sun and moon, we would be screwed. We need to realise that we're not separate entities, we're matter that are in different positions but are all part of the same thing: the universe.

Well in Leviticus 25:44  slavery is, completely allowed.

"As for your male and female slaves whom you may have-- you may acquire male and female slaves from the pagan nations that are around you"

So when sombra enslaved the crystal ponies,  one can argue that he was being a good christian.

There were some forms of slavery that were condoned and others that were condemned :)

well, ponies aren't christian,  ergo they are pagan.  So according to the bible, you can enslave as many as you'd like.

I'm not talking about ponies being Christian, I'm just trying to see if there are any other Christian messages in the show.

There are no Christian messages is FiM.

There are messages that agree with some Bible passages, sure. That does not make them Christian. Many of such messages would also agree with parts of pretty much every religion out there, but that does not make such messages Hindu, or Jewish.

You mean apart from the whole Sombra being allowed to take slaves because they aren't christian?

Well.

There's a bear that tries to maul Snips and Snails,  that's very similar to  Kings 2:24

"When he looked behind him and saw them, he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two female bears came out of the woods and tore up forty-two lads of their number."

Only,  instead of murdering 42 children,   the bear in the show only scares 2 of them.  So...similar....but,  not quite 100%

I know, I just mean messages that Christians would approve of :)

Well then, yes there are lots. Just watching the show should be enough.

Just don't describe them as Christian.

See,  there you go implying that the show has christian messages in it.

it doesn't...anything that happens to line up with what the bible says.  Be it the good stuff like......helping out diseased riddled people, or the stuff that people like to pretend doesn't exist...like murdering children and enslaving people.....  is simply a coincidence.

Perhaps you should bring this sorta discussion up at a church group,  or some other area where all participants agree that the messages in the show are christian,  You'll probably get the discussion you're looking to have.

I haven't seen any biblical references in MLP at all. There is that one interesting parallel to Icarus in Sonic Rainboom, though.

"Oh look, there's our friend Rarity GOING DOWN IN FLAMES!!! ISN"T FRIENDSHIP MAGIC!!!?" -Tabitha St. Germain as Rarity

"No matter how many times others tell you you're great, all the praise in the world means nothing if you don't feel it inside.......Sometimes to feel good about yourself, you gotta let go of the past. That way, when the time comes to let your greatness fly, you'll be able to light up the whole sky." -Cathy Weseluck as Spike

I'm not sure if this counts, but during the episode bats, applejack calls the bats evil as sin. Kinds counts? Eh. Though, I know nothing about the bible so I can't find any quotes, and the show is completely religious free so anything in it is a coincidence.

Anything with moral messages they is a good chance for some similarity, alot of the messages in the show can be found in the bible but the same could also be found in Quran and other holy texts as well as several secular philosophies and the universality of these messages is deliberate. Hasbro knows that there are parents raising kids in multiple different religious backgrounds and having a religious message would limit the audience to just members of that particular religious tradition.
