murkyx 904 September 24, 2012 Share September 24, 2012 Gilese 581g is an extrasolar terrestrial planet 22 light years away that is one of the most likely to harbor life. However, due to it orbiting a red dwarf star, the sky and sunlight would be a very deep red and any plant life would be pitch black in color.

NewCalamity 3,454 October 9, 2012 Share October 9, 2012 (edited) The Soviet-built Object 279 tank was built to withstand the blast of a nuclear weapon of the Cold War. During Operation Winter Storm the 6th Panzer Division's advance to relieve the 6th Army trapped in Stalingrad was halted by the Red Army just 48km away from the city. The German Tiger II tank's frontal armour of ~180mm was never penetrated in combat. Though it had poor mileage and ran at around 160m per litre of fuel. ErBoi 501 October 9, 2012 Share October 9, 2012 Despite popular belief, Santa Claus's modern depiction was not invented by Coke. The Super Mario Bros. 2 that was released in North America was not originally a Mario game. The actual Mario 2 was deemed both too similar to the original and potentially too difficult for western gamers by Nintendo of America so they altered another game Miyamoto had made called Doki Doki Panic into a Mario game. The Mario version of Doki Doki Panic was later released in Japan as Super Mario USA. And we finally got the real Mario 2 in the form of "Mario: The Lost Levels" included in the Super Nintendo game Super Mario All-Stars. At one point in development, Ocarina of Time was planned to play in first-person perspective. Despite overwhelmingly common rumours of such (so much so that many fans state it as fact without a second thought), there is no proof at all that Akira Toriyama made a concentrated effort to end Dragon Ball with the Frieza arc. Toriyama has never made a statement to that effect. He did say that he was feeling at his limits by the third year of writing the manga which was very likely misinterpreted as being around the Frieza arc (since that was the third season of the Dragon Ball Z anime). However, the third year of him writing the manga would actually be around the Baba or Tien sagas of Dragon Ball. The Dragon Ball fandom could very well be the most festering pit of misinformation in existence. Both Sean Schemmel and Eric Vale have passed out in the recording booth during recording sessions for Dragon Ball Z. The GameCube startup animation (where the cube rolls around and draws the logo) makes different sounds if you hold Z on the first player controller and also if you hold Z on all 4 controllers. In the original Final Fantasy, in the town of Elfheim, there is a grave that says (or rather translates to) 'Here Lies Link'. The English release of the game changed it to 'Here Lies Erdrick' as a potshot to the rival-ish series Dragon Quest/Warrior. The more recent remakes of the game say 'Here Lies Link' in their English releases. Penn Jillette is usually seen on stage with red nail polish on a single fingernail which began as an inside joke with his mother.
