I can go on forever on why I too despise Apple for various reasons, yet I am tech-savy so I would take Microsoft over Apple in any day.  Mostly the reason why I dislike Apple is b/c god forbid your system gets damaged internally (ex. Hard drive, CPU, RAM, etc.), I would want to take it apart myself and shop for that specific piece of Hardware.  However, Apple wants to act like thieves and ask you to send it to them at a cost, which is not worth it, and they'll fix it.  Now that, is total bullshit and I feel that customers of Apple don't realize that they are just wasting hundreds and hundreds of dollars on getting it fixed.  Its not worth it, tbh.

I'll never buy an Apple product. They're too expensive and the iPhone is too small. I'll stick with my Android, thanks.

Let it be known Apple is the reason smart phones have become so popular. Hate on Apple all you want, you can't deny Steve Jobs ability to make people buy things, they didn't really care about before. 
I know the history of the smartphone mp3 players, but think about how many of you knew someone who had one 10years ago?
