Is it time for the Mane Six to venture out of Equestria?

I don't think Luna was ever in the space part of the moon. She was sealed in magic. Unless I'm forgetting something I don't think they ever actually showed Luna on the actual moon. Unless you count the comics, I suppose but since I've only read one issue (conveniently the moon one) I can't say I know a lot on the subject.

 

There's another race that people are forgetting: Chrysalis and her kin. They were banished to somewhere outside of Equestria. If they come back or the ponies go to wherever that was we could learn of their origins or what's happened to them since.

Several elements of these far away places we've heard tell exist beyond Equestria have made their way to the Mane 6 in some fashion. Whether it's Cerberus storming into Ponyville, Chrysalis arriving in Canterlot for her diabolical machinations, and even our beloved Zecora moving to the Everfree Forest from her mysterious homeland, we've seen but glimpses of what lies beyond. All I want is for these things to be explored in greater detail. The Mane 6 could venture forth to these places, sure, but I'd be happy enough with more elements of those lands showing up to Equestria.

 

Whether that occurs in the form of a trip to these foreign lands, or maybe exposition from natives complete with flashbacks, or Twilight reading a few books, I don't care. Granny Smith's reminiscing took us back to the founding days of Ponyville easily enough. The same could happen from a tale told by a new visitor. No need to leave. If a writer could come up with a good reason for them to embark on such a journey besides sightseeing, maybe even something pertaining to Twilight's increasing responsibilities as a princess, I'd be cool with that.

 

 

Although there are still plenty of cities mentioned that they've yet to visit in Equestria. Getting to see those places and see how culturally diverse Equestria truly is would be more interesting to me, assuming we've yet to see all there is in that regard.

Perhaps Twilight and her friends can visit Zecora's homeland or the place where Chrysalis came from. Exploring the backstories of these characters can give the writers an excuse to send Twilight and her friends to places outside of Equestria.

I could see that working, but Hasbro would need to make wherever their ventures take them make sense within the MLP universe. You don't need much clarity or logical sense with the moon, but it's not like Hasbro can just send them to America and clash with humans AS THEIR PONY SELVES. Hasbro would need to think it through GOOD if they wanted to do something like that.

Though, I honestly don't see them making a decision like that :/

Hmm... it would definitely be nice to see some new places, but I feel that there's a lot more to see in Equestria first. Las Pegasus, Fillydelphia, and the super mysterious Hollow Shades seem the most interesting to me. I hope season 5 will have a lot more world-building!

It'd be sweet to see the griffon lands! ^~^ More Gilda! Yay! They should travel more, it'd be cool to see more of the towns of Equestria, and see more of those horses we saw standing next to celestia in that one episode.

Why not Twily making an official visit to a bat pony town or something? Faust said they live in mountain caves. I mean, it's not like Equestria is running out of places to explore

It could be scuba gear, but it doesn't look like it. I don't think most divers wear fishbowls over their heads.

It could exist as a fantasy concept but not actually be possible. Space travel was a big part of science fiction long before we could actually do it. Edited May 18, 2014 by hawkflame

I'm fairly sure that when the MLP writers run out of ideas for the Mane 6 in Equestria, they'll go to the other places on the planet. ^^

I'd like to see the Mane 6 venture out of Ponyville some more, or even Equestria.It'd certainly help in creating new content for the show.

 

 

 

Other than that, I really, really want to see the homeland of the Griffons. Ever since Gilda appeared, I've been itchin' to see where they come from... and that was the freaking fifth episode of the series, so it has been a long wait wanting to see the homeland of the Griffons.

 

They live in Gryffindor!

With the mention of foreign lands in the world that Equestria lives on, I would love that! I always wondered what Maretopia and Saddle Arabia are so it would be a huge blessing if those two places are ever given a chance to shine in the spotlight if the Mane 6 do decide to explore the lands beyond their home.
