  1. Her tail does appear a lot long than before, don't you think? :0
  2. Welcome to the forums! And don't worry, your english is fine!
  3. This is REALLY impressive. Not to mention the fact that it's over an hour worth of things the average person does not immediately pay attention to.Funny, when you're watching the show you don't catch any of those mistakes because you're all sucked into it. I was really surprised about the Fluttershy with a blue feather... How did I not see that? XD Reminds me of when I was in algebra during my sophomore year in high school. My math teacher showed a clip of people throwing basket balls and asked if we had noticed anything strange. I hadn't seen a thing. But then, he showed the class a slow-mo version and you know what I saw? A man walking by in the background...in an ape suit.
  4. Ah, those were enjoyable! lol The bike one reminds me of when I first learned to ride a bike (late I might add, I was 12), I wasn't paying attention and smashed my face against a mailbox. Glad no one saw me or they would have laughed. You and your boss must have had some pretty uncanny experiences you both can share.
  5. lol, reminds me of that Scooby Doo Robot Chicken Parody, which I loved (for the most part) For a pony, you sound awful hoarse (you may stab me now).
  6. I agree. But I'd be equally amused if some of the a-famed background ponies appeared in the window panes in the background.
  7. You will have fun! But mind you! Abide my signature and watch out for the poisonjoke! (In other words, welcome to the forums!)
  8. Next time you should throw Pony Joe in there
  9. Hey everyone! Akaraah here... I was thinking we could have an official thread either lamenting, reminiscing, and essentially just telling about whatever crazy situations we have or had become involved in in the past. Or, if not crazy, it can be a true tale in your life or situations with a lot of discomforting, even trippy moments for you, or your friends. I'll start... When I was in middle school quite a few years ago me and my brother got lost at Carowinds (a popular amusement park in South Carolina) during a field-trip. What made the situation worse was that it started to pour down raining, so you can imagine how much other students hated me afterward for the delay(and they did not hesitate to confront a 14-year old me during those times, I already felt guilty). Another one would be my time visiting my dad during 2007 in Southgate, Michigan, where during a walk, me and my brothers were being followed by some racist guy with a crow bar (he eventually vanished , thankfully because a friend of his stood in the way). It does not have to be lengthy, or comical, any story you feel is appropriate to share and maybe even how it was resolved. Use an alias if you think it is necessary for whatever story you choose to share! No extremely-explicit details please! So long as you're comfortable, then everything should be good. P.S. Maybe like in MLP: FiM, you can even tell a lesson you have learned.
  10. I bought a Luna and Celestia magnet yesterday off ebay, the seller crafted it his/herself and they look as they appear on the show, much to my pleasure. Including shipping, they were only about $6. Not much into collecting things or hasbro merchandise, all I care about is the characters and show! I wouldn't discourage you from collecting if it is a drive of yours, it's a good thing! Like people collecting baseball cards! Though I'm too poor half the time even if I wanted to buy 700+ dollars worth of items (lol). As sugarcube said, I would probably buy some of things related to the show if they seemed worth it. Something to cater to bronies specifically, and not the small children who just want a fantasy pony to pocket. Basically, I would want something that doesn't feel cheap and plasticy. Like one of those huge Pinky Pie models shown at Comic-con where it looks more like how the character does on the show than how she would look as a toy, because I'm not interested in that. If hasbro lets some of the fans design them and then pitch them, they'll actually appeal more to people who aren't into collecting such as myself. But for now, the amazing fan made artwork, music, and animations are all I'm interested in as a young adult.
  11. Thanks, I was going through a certain phase involving a friendship I was uncertain about I shared with someone. It felt pretty one-ended and I was wishing to feel like I had more of a role in the person's life I guess. Like she wouldn't mind forgetting me or something. Especially with the goals I have had set up for myself. So on and so... I'm glad I inspired you to say the least. There are others related to this one if you are ever interested.
  12. I added you on Deviant art as well. My work is pretty stale compared to yours. Still learning photoshop in its entirety given that this is my first year (or two months) using it. I want to draw pony versions of some of my main characters from a series idea of mine. Or with my icon here, I'm thinking of doing some pony centric art with a human character of mine petting one of the main cast. And beyond that, do you take commissions in this thread? I'd love to ask you to do pony versions of some of my work at some point since I'm awfully busy with online class. I read that you can do 3D art... You took 3D animation classes? If so, could you tell me if its best that I stay under 3D animation or go with traditional as originally planned, if you don't mind answering? I'm curious, what do you and others do to draw in vectors? Adobe illustrator?
  13. Okay! Thanks! While this one isn't influenced by MLP (made it back in May, before I had even watched the show), if you don't mind lengthy, enigmatic poetry, with some paradox/oxymorons here and there... well you may enjoy it: Title: Since what is spent Sunk-much in, again I soliloquy And to myself; who is alone, and without That closuring arm, may not it tempt me Because I only resent it, because it resents me I do alone, because you only allow me While the days spoofs and cliche's have yet to arouse my; My sense, sense of heart, and here I am generic Do not have me start And start I shall, as I would further go on About my folly, goodness, my dismount Into the world of worlds, and your world of worlds But you could have done better to FARE me Than to leave me alone, in this world's also lone entirety But I do not consider it vast, but considerably confusing And what is that I see, I see it there, hanging on the wall? And there are you, are you, in circumference, or diagonally, involved with it? Because I ask, you also show confusion, and knock off, put aside And put away my closuring arm, which I also wished I'd never given And whatsoever conviction I whence had becomes dismal if that be a bested conclusion As I have, or have not, since gotten Because I fear that you may isolate me again And blend and disperse behind those shaggy walls And I'd be without a clue about what you are thinking For it was my wrong, or so I've kept on thinking So let me not just tinker with my own tangible phantom and demons And play with many shirking revelations, as though they may appear Because you'll be with them, those inner-demons, while all I can do is rear And rear as I also shall, because you've left me alone Or rather, so I have felt, and whence call on abandonment But I should know you better because of it And I should know better than to hand you what should be immensely dealt, garnered. Because the maturity of my heart seems none-to-kindred Or dreadful Because I've kept on thinking These revelations Their importance Their messages are potent As if they've been the only ever contemplated on these also immense earths I've found in your world Because, realistically, I'm molded of those same earths, And their dense roots, as those are the inner networkings I am also involved in, which only seeks to bare your weight But rest-not and restful As I come with my own personal barings! But you only seem comfortable with them, dependant on your own apparel And to which is from your own, personal, given census As I am but a question on your questionaire, and I say; "How important am I really to you?" But darkened eyes devour me as you do me away Because the seriousness of this question cautions but to imminently lead to tension; or As I would have thought, but this is but a forbaded, And forbidden Revelation that coordinates the strained confusion that forces along my mind Which I wish was an enigma Whose puzzles and obscure patterns and hidden messages attracted you moreso than what others wrought But rejoice and rejoice, I seem not to be just a heart-settling factor As you have done for me, though have also since, done for others Because as I look around At many the familiar furniture inbetween those once tightend but now shaggy walls Whose use is as byfar, expended, faltering and detaining as my purpose is served; I unwittingly find out you are also as expended. As I am but a small token, or just a redundant contender For your divided hearts, divided loves, and carrier, but-since divided soul Which I sitll think impossible as you heart may just be too gracious And mine, unwilling to share what has become clear to me, though faced with this, foremost, What would also be a revelation but is foremost true. So I come too baring my coins, my tokens, though their luster is no where near as great Because it'd be rude TO me, not to. Because I myself am not quite good enough, or am foul-suited Because gracious hearts and their offerings, appreciative, become tokens expended to me And make me near obsessive; so as I show, and may offer As among tens', fifthties', hundreds' of other contenders and their tens', fifthties', hundreds' of tokens I come as cheap and silly, because as others have come not with tokens, but with solid gems and luxurous drapery And seek to bolt them among tables and walls, and next to you Alongside what was familiiar in your temporary shaggy home I come, bargaining, and bargaining with fool's gold For I am a fool who's sensitive heart cares too much And would have brought one million golden tokens! Had I known To compensate for the mere ten silvers offered by your attractive soul. ... But since what is spent, I feel I have overpaid
  14. Really great poetry Wait... You don't mind if others post their poetry in this thread, do you?
  15. I think they did. But not with GC, unfortunately. Though there were some rumors gamecube games could find their way onto whatever onlline store is in the works for the Wii U.
  16. Funny, we have had our Wii since 2007 and it still works fine.
  17. Looks pretty cool actually! Even though I have never played. I suppose I'll give it a go if given the opportunity (which I most likely will find)
  18. Too bad I fear that any 'official' video game based on MLP: FiM may just blow. Just like how most movie games 'blow' the expectations of fans. Like simply making a subpar dressing game... Unless they consider Lauren Faust's original goal in creating the show and "surprise" us with a great videogame as well, based on a toy-line, based on candy-colored ponies. Perhaps the people behind the fan-made fighting game that is coming out should opt it to Hasbro for audit and release as an official video game where they maintain all creative-direction. You know, geared towards bronies, though I doubt that will ever happen. Release it to retail or Nintendo eShop, and I'd definitely buy that.
  19. He most definitely would, based on the commentary he delivers on the development process of the Zelda games, along with many others involved with Zelda. Art direction is key especially. And yep, everyone seems nice and levelheaded for the most part on these forums. I myself always try to leave interesting comments and responses and get sort of disappointed when no one posts on a thread in a long time.
  20. Awesome! I have always been into the idea of game design, though I may not act on it until later. I tried programming in my last year of high school and didn't do my best, so I think I'm more on the designer end than the technical half. Sadly, I don't think Hideo Kojima (the guy who made Metal Gear) would agree with you since he doesn't think of video games as art. I do though! Maybe we should do a poll where we find out how many of us play video games, read comics, and draw (I consist of all three, lol). XD
  21. The way the kissy guys arms are positioned kind of weirds me out, but okay! If you think about it, I know this is a tad off topic, but wonder if and when virtual reality comes, who may be the first bronies to make a reality game based off of MLP FiM? And will the kissy guy seek out his ulterior goals...
  22. Perhaps because it personally validates some of their personal thoughts & feelings they have towards the characters, themselves, or, how they choose to exemplify their own personalities. For instance, some people make some sorrow artwork involving Luna. Giving her a grave backstory. We see something deeper then a colorful palette as what appears on the screen or even what Hasbro would allow. Some see an entire world in the character, in a manner of speaking. Self expression? Yes! Twilight is like me in that she is into reading but is at times, socially inept, but graciously she has uniformly found a social group that accepts her, that's sometimes more then I can say about some aspects of myself, or even the friends I have had. So at times, fans amplify self expression by yes, mediating personal feelings through ponies. But of course, we have also our quirky ponies and our insecure ponies.
  23. Double the viewership of Nintendo 3DS Blog? Wow! I did not expect that! So on and so... Excellently put! This fandom is relatively fresh compared to others, considering the show came out late last year. Personally, I don't think I've seen a fandom this strong beyond some anime or popularized video games in recent years. As I said in the previous post, naturally it may die-down after the show ends but as you said and I, here-say, have rephrased, it will still brim brightly to those fans who appreciated it while the show airs or while all the 'zest' remains. Even when generation 5 (or 4.5) rolls around. People won't just "forget the magic" of the current cartoon, as some seem to think will happen. If the entire show remains good it may just become a modern classic among the ranks of other great cartoons' such as Ed, Edd, and Eddy and a benefactor to nostalgic purposes. A little odd, but I notice that quite a few associate the number "7" as the magic number of seasons prescribed until a show should wrap up while still remaining strong. I hope it never goes in the direction of SpongeBob whereas some others have become disheartened to say, which is still watchable in my opinion. In a similar case, I read up that Seth MacFarlane felt that Family Guy should have ended around season 7. I don't know everyone else's stance on this, but I'd personally end a series after the "true" story has ended and not butcher the main plotline with pointless ploys. Needless to say, something popular can be milked, but still remain good, admittedly.
  24. I think, naturally, the popularity will die down at the very end, much like many other shows. But I'll remain a fan of course, a good cartoon is a good carton and I'm sticking with that. Just a day ago me and my bro. looked up Teen Titans, an anime esq. series based on the comic Teen Titans Go (which I have never read). It is still a FANTASTIC show, but it does not air much if at all and it has since ended. Personally, I'm someone who thinks nostalgia is one of the most overrated things to feel/confide in, it can get in the way of new, interesting experiences for some, so to see a new show such as FiM is refreshing. As for writers running out of ideas, I'm not so sure. My opinion of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic at the current? It can only get better and better. They have very well established the characters and are working through their highs and lows. This leaves more room for creating interesting predicaments such as dealing with Discord (and we all know how much we fans love Discord). Ed, Edd, and Eddy only got better to me as the seasons went on. The highly stylized character designs, environments, and color palette strengthened and the events got crazier for the Eds at times, but more creative and fun. And that's saying a lot considering it is a cartoon about three guys inuring random shenanigans in a slightly formulaic way. They even added a tiny bit of depth by making the characters become emotional, namely Double-D. Even changing up the plot line with school related episodes. Fans and the like will like something no matter the case, even if it is not always in its prime. There are many people who love Family Guy and SpongeBob and think the newer episodes blow, but remain fans none-the-less, and regardless, fans establish these types of communities in the first place to either gnaw at or exemplify certain attributes taken on by their favorite shows! The future is bright at the end of the tunnel. At the current I am actively seeing if one of my friends could be into the show (by e-mailing him parodies and clips, the responses are good so far) and not being forceful. And I don't do that for just any show or any particular interest of mine. Honestly, all I see them doing is expanding upon the complexity of the show, as in being more in-depth with fan favorites. And if they're passionate about making the show like I am passionate about my own stories and creations, we will see a lot of good. With my current icon being a very-well established character of mine from a few years ago. With that said, let us just not worry.
