  1. Winter would start to lead the way but shake his head; "It isn't about being cowards...the problem is that everyone sees the rich as being rich but rarely anything else. Also they are usually taught that being rich is their main quality, their main definition, even by their own families. If they aren't doing anything special they tend to remind themselves and everyone else that they are rich because if they don't then they are nothing...at least in their own eyes. Doesn't make it right, but to me at least it also makes it sad. I would hate to be rich."
  2. I know I may be a villain for saying this, but in this day and age. Go, be with her and when you get home stream the finale. Shows like MLP, Doctor Who and Sons of Anarchy are available to watch online with 30 minutes of closing credits.
  3. @, Winter nods; "Oh, good. I was afraid it was something worse, not that that isn't bad but it is normal. You should never take that personally, they usually do it out of fear. Well that's what my grandmother always told me at least. So Addie, will you join me for a nice tea and dessert? My treat."
  4. I haven't seen season four yet. That being said, it was Wonderbolts who were the initial capital response when Spike was a rampaging adult and going at him pretty hardcore. I don't think the Blue Angels would ever be military first responders if they weren't already on the scene so I would say military. Also during the tornado episode they sent a Wonderbolt to monitor and ensure that Rainbow Dash got that water to Cloudsdale again very much a military action. Mind you how often does the Equestrian military have to do stuff? The Academy seems to go through buckets of recruits so much like the Air Force they probably have divisions that specialized to both.
  5. Well yes, if no effort is put into anything then it will be terrible but don't assume that because OCs are involved that it will be automatically bad. I'm going to let you in on a little secret...every character in FIS is an OC... My Little Pony was around for a long time before the current generation and so Faust and the others sat down and had to say; "Ok...let's make up our own ponies to live in this world." Sure they got paid to do it but that is because they are making a product. So if they were going to make a dvd with material featuring fan OCs they are going to have to put effort into it, otherwise they won't make money and hurt the brand. They won't just chose random ponies and say "Go!", they will choose fully developed characters. God OCs just won't make it and assuming they will is kind of an insult to the creators. Did Stellar Eclipse entering the show turn it to poop and ruin? Was he some sort of horrible blight upon the eyes? That is an OC who is in the show. In the end, if they put effort in and it is good then yeah I would buy it but that goes for any movie, book or TV show.
  6. @, Winter's ears flicker; "Oh, oh that's not good. I was actually looking at moving to Ponyville some day soon. Are a lot of them mean? Or just like one or two? You know what? Are you willing to talk with me a bit over a cup of tea? It'll be much more comfortable than standing in the street."
  7. @, "Well the best way to say something hard is to say it without thinking. The more we think on it the harder our mind tries to get it right which usually leads to us getting it wrong..." Winter gives a small smile but his eyes seem sad, always sad. "And I wasn't thinking that at all, I just thought you were excited. I'd be excited too if I could do magic."
  8. @, Winter's ears go flat back; "Oh no sorry I meant I thought I was seeing things because I bumped my head not cause you bumped your head. But that magic stuff is pretty incredible..I've never heard or read..." The stallion would tilt his head at the cutie mark, "Your special talent is academics?"
  9. @, Winter looks at the butterfly with her now before quickly snapping his attention back to her; "Well you see I got a small bump on my head and then saw you use magic. Silly I know as you look like an Earth Pony...so I just have to ask, did I? See magic?" The stallion's body language shows a mix of curiosity and confusion.
  10. I would have to say human once more; but with the sense of justice and right vs. wrong that I have now, in this life so that I could fulfill my dream of being a police officer. This of course would require me to not have the abusive father that separates the discs in my spine nor wreck my wrists to the point where my hands can barely function that I had this go around,
  11. @, Winter jumps when the mare jumps startling a bit himself. He folds his ears back in hesitation, his eyes look down to the ground; "Well yes, I have a question I would like to ask but it would be rude to just blurt it out without at least introducing myself first right? Right...right...I'm Winter Raven."
  12. Winter breathes a sigh of relief that his embarrassment is only his own, he straightens himself out and his jaw actually drops at what he sees. He makes his way up to the filly who was just putting a flower back into its holding place; curiosity demanding to be met because either that was impossible or he has some form of head injury. "Uh, excuse me miss...?"
  13. My family worked in the horse industry for years when I was a kid and there was a lot of things we heard, people who were arrested. Its a size causing arousal issue, and was around for a long time before MLP. For those that wonder how I know so much about this, in college I studied law, sociology and psychology and these things came up.
  14. Zoophilia is the mind set, culture and social aspects. Beastiality is simply the action. I would assume that Reddit has two separate things as one is simply the act and the other is well...discussions, meet ups and stories told of experiences past.
  15. Winter Raven would being taking a moment to enjoy the day . He raises his head, closes his eyes and stares up to the sky allowing the warmth of the morning sun wash over him. There would be a flash of orange and the young stallion would now have another pegasus gripping him by the shoulders; "It worked Winter!" "Well that's good, I had a feel-" The muted blue pegasus would be cut off as the orange one lets him go, floats in the air for a moment. He would yell. "It really worked!" Then take off, leaving Winter feeling a bit confused, a bit disheveled and a bit embarrassed. His golden eyes would sweep the street to see if anyone had noticed that happening.
  16. Maple fudge. If I could include more maple fudge into my diet without it being terrible for me I would in a heartbeat.
  17. For me it is during a Canterlot wedding, when Twilight frees Cadence and says; "Go to him." I was close to tears but as Shining snapped out of it and their love empowered his magic I cried...every time I watch it. But I am a hopeless romantic at heart, and it wasn't like they knew their magic would do that. They were expecting to die, but have one last moment together and... All of the feels were stabbed by that scene!
  18. It is like every other convention and trade show. There are people there who are not good people, that just comes from the odds because so many people go, you are mathematically going to hit some un-good people. That being said it is no less safe than it was last year or any other comic con, gun show, etc. There are rules that people just have to remember when going to events like this. 1. If you have minors with you, they have to stay with you. You don't have to hold hands but they shouldn't wander off without saying anything to you. Also a big one, don't assume they heard you over the din of the crowd, if you want to go to the plush booth tell them, and have them acknowledge it. So often people wander off assuming those they are with will know to follow along or that the person left at all. 2. Keep some money aside in a special pocket or place separate from your spending money in case you need a cab or something else comes up and don't just assume everything will be fine and buy that t-shirt. 3. If everyone owns cell phones, make sure they are on, and most likely on vibrate as there is a better chance you will feel it vibrating over hearing it in the dealer's room. 4. And this is a big one people seem to not pay attention to, keep electronics and money in a secure spot...I have seen so many people at the conventions I have worked crying to security because the money they kept pulling out and stuffing back into their bulky coat pocket has gone missing, or the 3ds they had sticking out of their back pocket suffered a grab and run or they just held their wallet in their hand, then they put it down on the table so they could sift through some buttons and then it was gone!
  19. Winter Raven very cautiously enters, it wasn't that he felt unsafe or nervous about being here but...its going to be quite the party and he secretly hopes that he can handle things when they really get into gear. His wings are tucked close to his body, and though he tries to shake his mane back a bit it stubbornly settles in the place it always does. Winter hopes that no one will find it rude that his mane looks to cover half of his face. It didn't prevent him from seeing (for the most part) but some may consider it an insult, a way to snub them without making a specific action. The upper crust of Canterlot have a tendency to look for ways to be offended; probably because they were bored. His large golden eyes search the room, so many ponies here, so many he knew. Some through his grandmother, some as 'clients' of his own. It was because of one of those that he has helped that he was here at all. Not just because she got him the ticket but if he hadn't shown up it would hurt her feelings and with her still trying to readjust after her ordeal how could he not come? He may not have to stay long...or who knows maybe he will have some fun? Maybe... As a couple of ponies come up to him Winter finds himself rather crowded, fairly quickly and after saying his hellos he excuses himself mentioning that he still needs to greet the princesses and did not want to be rude. Though he takes the first chance he can to slip out to the garden. The young stallion snorts with a bit of frustration. "Or...maybe not...."
  20. You won't see anything like that from the Purge 2. The Purge films are always supposed to be small scale. I watched the first one and between the trailer, plus the fact that it had Micheal Bay's name on it I was expecting nothing. It was one of the best horror films I had ever seen. All the horror comes from the Purgers and the neighbours. The idea that things have gone so awry, so inhuman, so warped that has an actual chilling effect on you. In a world of Saw, Eli Roth and of course V/H/S I am glad to see a return to crushing, intelligent, psychological horror. That being said when they originally announced Anarchy I rolled my eyes and said; "The only way they could do anything more with this premise is to just go street level during the Purge so we get a wide cut of how classes, and social sectors handle the annual purge. They've done this and they will be going across the whole spectrum from homeless person all the way up to the aloof and afar 1%ers.
  21. Going to try to get antibiotics from teh vet today for my dog without any of the unnecessary tests. Wish me luck, both my dog and I will need it.

  22. I'd try that but my singing voice is...not happiness. Let's put it that way.
  23. I hope this is the right place to place this, if it is not I apologize to the mods/admins in advance. So last night I arrived to an appointment about half an hour early, found myself a nice bench to sit on and looking around I noticed how miserable everyone was. I was on the city's busiest street, just a block up from one of the busiest intersections and everyone going by looked angry, sad, or some other form of miserable. I started to feel uncomfortable just being around so much negativity so I whipped out my phone and started playing "Love Is In Bloom" (the 15 minute looped version). I played it loud enough so that those walking by my bench would be able to hear it clearly without it being so loud that it would be intrusive in people's conversations, heard across the street or what have you. So with this playing on my little LG I just people watched. Every single person that went by looked at me, and gave me some form of smile even if it was just a corners of the mouth smile. A smile that a lot of them kept after ( more than one person looked back at me and were still smiling) they had passed by. I was there for about half an hour and came across people of every gender, multiple races and a whole spectrum of ages. Though no one seemed to recognize the song, and if they did they didn't say anything. Normally you should have at least a couple of people who scowl at you for making noise, or they just don't want to have some bubble gum pop in their ear but nope. So later on I tried again at a mall, on the subway...same results. Got most of the people on the subway car smiling. So why am I posting about this? What's the point? Well first off the fact that something pony related can bring smiles to so many is pretty fantastic. It wasn't even "Smile, Smile, Smile" which I actual expect to generate negative results from a random cutting of the population; something I plan to test in the next couple of weeks. Secondly, I want to suggest you try something similar, and not at your normal haunts (not work, or school or whatever) in places where people don't know you. Don't have it blasting, don't wave it in people's faces but see what happens. It can be any pony song that you love though "Smile, Smile, Smile" has a big chance to back fire because people hate being told to smile randomly. But do it and see what happens. Why? Because getting someone to smile can change their whole day, and you may be making the world a better place for someone (or not as dark at least) though a small and simple act. Also, a lot of people use sociology and psychology to make you feel bad, tired, to buy stuff, to fear stuff, hate stuff, like stuff...using it for something positive is so rare we should try. Who knows maybe you will make a new friend or acquaintance? Plus making others smile tends to make us feel good so not only would it be good of you, it will be good for you!
  24. Coming into the fandom late I have been lucky. I watched Season 1, then nothing for a couple of months, then did 2, waited a month etc etc. I haven't even caught up yet because I just finally finished season 3 and have decided I will wait till the summer to watch Season 4. For those that are suffering burnout remember you can take a break for a couple of weeks or months and then catch up. Not being up to date isn't the end of the world.
  25. I'm actually currently in a legal fight with Hasbro right now over me reviewing things. In the country I live in (Canada) the law is very specific and Hasbro's answer has been, "We don't care, the law may give you the right but you won't take us to court." I have since told them that yes, yes I will actually. If he was doing reviews and was in any North American or European country (at least) than he has the right to use those images and sounds for his review. The law is very specific. Hasbro isn't bad for trying to protect their material, they are bad for saying "Yes you are right the law is on your side but we are big and you are small so we will bully you out." Which is what they are trying to do and have a history of doing, they go to court alot and lose research it.
