G5 is expected to have a universe where pony species each have their own world, all them besides a hub world. I'm honestly not sure what to think of it, I liked how G4 had a single shared world that was highly diverse. Hopefully the G5 world won't be so shallow and will inspire many ideas for the fandom. That being said, if you think G5's world isn't all that interesting to you, would you have any intention of creating your own world with (but not limited to) ponies? If so, what would it be like? If I could create one, it would be similar to the Pathfinder RPG universe with not only a highly diverse earthlike world, but also a vast cosmology, both through space and extra-dimensions. Other tabletop RPGs like Roan and Galloping Stars actually have their own Pony worlds.

Let's be real, we had it easy compared to most cartoon fandoms

The fact that this show went on for 8 (and soon to be 9) seasons is extremely impressive, and isn't one of those shows that have been abruptly cancelled. For shows like Teen Titans 2003 and Thundercats 2011, the fans aren't so lucky. What's worse, they were replaced by shows that weren't even meant to appeal to them, and there is a very good chance that MLP will go that same route. FiM has certainly left one hell of a legacy and I'm sure it won't go away anytime soon. If there's one show that was so fortunate to not be cancelled prematurely, it's this one.

Just today I came across a reveal video for an animated series by Crunchyroll called High Guardian Spice. Take a look. This video promotes diversity in such a way that it feels like that they care more about how diverse the characters are than actual writing quality. They even brag about that half the staff are female and the entire writing team is all female. With diversity being mentioned in the leaks for G5 makes me very nervous, that the show could be run by these types of people. Anyone else agree?

What you could also do is that instead of using Photoshop for painting the backgrounds, you could use Corel Painter. It does a better job of emulating traditional media than Photoshop, but you could still use PS for adjusting the backgrounds. What 3d software are you looking to use?

Indeed. Btw, Have you ever considered using TVPaint for drawing the animation, while still using Harmony for inking/coloring and other features? TVP's raster drawing tools are a lot closer to real pencils on paper than Harmony's vector drawing tools as far as digital drawing is concerned..

Good to see that this is being animated frame by frame. I've been waiting for ages to see something like that.

It could still be sudden though. Jim Samples stepped down as CEO of Cartoon Network due to a bomb scare in Boston regarding Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Who did he get replaced with? Stuart Snyder of course, and look at the direction it took since then. Not saying that a similar case could happen to Hasbro, but it's still something to think about. Its replacement CEO could just simply think that a G1-G3 style G5 is more profitable than what's currently being done.
