While I do like BaldDumboRat as Derpy, her singing voice leaves something to be desired...

I have nothing against Alicon Fan Characters. I feel like few bronies have them anyways, and even if they do, they aren't trying to make an over powered god-like character most of the time. They are just being themselves. My fan character will never be an actual alicorn, I'd prefer if he did have faults and quirks. The closest he'd ever get is if some mechanical wings were attached to his armor, but even then it'd only be used rarely or when absolutely necessary.

Samurai Equine, the samurai unicorn pony. That's my fan character (I prefer to call them Fan Characters because Original sounds like you're saying "originally from the show" and people can get confused). Some call him Samurai for short, but he also goes by the name Flame Trotter. He comes from a distant, yet very cultural land in Equestria known as Japon (But if the makers of the show ever create a Japanese or Asian inspired land, then that'll be his homeland). He is an armored war horse and your typical samurai. He is completely loyal to Princess Celestia to the point where he would even commit seppuku, if it is what she ordered. ...Thankfully, Celestia would never give such an order, no matter what era it is. Samurai is a pony that has some very basic spells. A fire spell that stuns enemies and a horn extending spell are his two mane go-to spells. There is a reason he keeps his horn extra sharp! Ever seen a Diamond Dog running away with it's tail between its legs? You will if Samurai Equine has to defend his fellow ponies! He loves his country, his kingdom, and his people. He would gladly protect them all from harm at a moment's notice! See his cutie mark? It's a gold X in front of a horseshoe. It represents his great accuracy and natural combat skills. Samurai Equine has very little tolerance for those who act in the name of evil or wish to harm others. But he's always the first to take part in Japonies holidays, and he'll gladly invite you all along for the fun! Just don't ask him to play in the snow or the rain, because his fire spells don't work when he's wet. Finally, Samurai Equine envies the pegasi. He dreams of having wings and flying up there in the clouds with them some day... He isn't skilled enough to cast a flight spell or the same spell that gave Rarity wings, but he wonders how hard it'd be to make mechanical wings for his armor.

Rainbow Dash would be so proud.

Yes I did. I even saw something similar to it involving Derpy as lead singer. Might have even been the same song.

Need more singers? Maybe I can help? I've never sung over microphone before, and I don't have the best set up. My voice might not be all that good. I'm not tone def or anything, but maybe I could just do backup or support vocals? I'm not sure I'm ready for a lead singing role just yet.

I'm not angry, at the shows or anything. Just understand that talking about death is one of my sensitive triggers. I don't like death. It's a sad thing. Good things don't come from it. We grieve, move on, and get stronger only because we have to, not because we want to. And I'm not angry at the shows either. Like I said, if the creators of it want to do that, fine. It's their show, let them tell the stories they want to tell, let them build up the characters however they want to. All I am saying is, it's their show, not ours. It's nice that they acknowledge us and maybe give us fanservice sometimes, but it's still their show.

I really hesitate to use the word racism. I think the show goes out of it's way to show that there can be misunderstands or a lack of understanding, but there is never any actual hate or bigotry. You can fix ignorance, you can't fix carelessness. And there is care here. But I do have mixed feelings about words like "everypony". Is it REALLY necessary to say that? We know that Equestria is filled with more than just talking ponies.

I can't believe people are liking the idea of Celestia dying! First of all, it's a kids show. At best, Celestia would just disappear. And I don't know how they'd pull that off without ever addressing it or making it a big deal. Not to mention all the traumatized kids and angry parents reacting to it... Secondly, shame on you for wishing death on someone? I know it's just a fictional character we're talking about it, but even so, I feel like people should be ashamed of themselves for EVER thinking that killing someone is a good idea. If it was necessary to happen for the sake of the plot or the characters or whatever, that's fine. But let the writers and creators of the show decide that. That's not for us to decide. I know there are head canons, fanfics, etc. I'm not trying to censor anyone! But I feel like most people who make that stuff aren't trying to push an agenda or anything. They are just doing it because they want to, but they know fans like those characters, so they wouldn't try to change the show or anything. Also, there are still fans of Celestia out there, so I doubt killing Celestia off would make them happy. Luna has come back, and from I can tell, the two of them share in their duties again. Celestia doesn't have to face the hard work of being a princess alone anymore.
