  1. I don't know what is meant by "damage". What exactly can a changeling do? Surely a changeling's goal is to feed off love, and if the changeling is smart and understands that, then it would be in its best interests to upkeep the love torrent as much as possible, and this is where I start having problems with the fundamental concept of changelings in FiM. :okiedokielokie: If the changeling's activity causes somebody's mind to go nuts (like Shining Armor's in the episode), then this would be very easy to see. If the changeling's goal is to weaken Ponyville for it to be more easy to capture by bigger forces, then it would be done through mischief, which is quite effectively countered by policing.
  2. It most certainly would. Well in this case we, indeed, should look for flaws in the changeling's behaviour. It's hard for me to point out examples because I don't know much about Ponyville residents. Or, we can search for things that are connected to the act of replacement itself. If the changeling mimicks the pony's behaviour flawlessly, then there is no point to search for the changeling, and effort should be spent on searching for the lost pony. The ways to search for the pony... No idea. Surely there must be some magic in Equestria that would help locating a pony in peril. The pony himself could try and find his way back home, even. See above.
  3. The main difference between this scenario and Too Many Pinkie Pies is that as the time goes on, the original is being held against their will somewhere. It's not about removing the false pony as much as about finding the lost one. The changeling itself possesses no threat, and the only reason to capture it is interrogation in order to find out where the original is. Pinkie Pie knows every birthday in Ponyville. Have all residents write down their birthdays, and the one who fails the test is the changeling. If the test scares him away from town, then it would be harder to find the original, but still, not impossible.
  4. So what you're saying is, Rainbow Dash performed a Sonic Rainboom, and Daring Do was born from it, Newborn Cuties style, retaining some of Rainbow Dash's abilities. Alright.
  5. I'm going to do something inconceivable and reference the comic books, namely the Equestria Girls Holiday Special, where Sunset says the following line: "Back home, the closest thing we had to cell phones was magic burping dragons!" Whether or not one can put the comic books in the same row as the show is a separate question (to which I answer negatively, personally).
  6. I didn't even know it existed before the whole FiM thing blew up on the internet.
  7. Shine On. ..Oh wait, wrong gen, sorry. Becoming Popular.
  8. In the distant future When the original creators of the show will finally run out of ideas, But will still need to produce new episodes because Friendship is Magic will still be a gold mine, They will return to the old, unresolved plot points And expand upon them To hold the show alive for just a bit longer, Without receiving backlash, because referencing really old plot points is okay for some reason. That's a cynical way of viewing it. Of course there are many other, much more positive ways.
  9. I'd rather see content that is as original as possible, thank you very much.
  10. Skylight, Starlight, Sunlight, Twilight.

  11. Well, this is kinda one of the points why I like her in the first place. Sunset Shimmer, especially in RR, helps EQG be its own thing, separate from FiM.
  12. Yes, yes it was, in my opinion, and here's why!

    G3 Fan Club

Why hello there. I am happy to find this wonderous thread here on MLP forums! So many positive posts about the debatably best gen of the franchise! I think that the best thing about G3, in constast to G4, is that it ended, preventing it from sliding off a cliff and betraying its foundations, to be a compact and clear series, each and every episode of which has something unique about it. I even threw together a nice little "review" of G3 on the wave of passion, for all to see.
  15. There is exactly one episode of G3 that fits this description (and it also happens to have a neat rearrangement of the main theme). The rest of them have other things as their focus. I have a giant piece of opinion over at Tumblr (which one can access through my signature or profile), but in general I think that G3 is rather nice, especially at the moment when they rebooted it into G3.5 (namely Twinkle Wish Adventure). The Runaway Rainbow continues to be the best MLP flick ever made, in my opinion.
  16. Rainbow Dash flying away from Discord in Three's A Crowd was very pleasing.
  17. Wherever G3 takes place. No conflicts, no resource shortage, everyone is friendly and honest, everything is pretty and clean, holidays, matinees, quiet times. Why wouldn't one want to live there.
  18. If she becomes corrupted and starts acting evil, she will be taken down by force from those who are capable (say, Twilight), just like every other villain in the show so far, yes. This scenario is exactly what happened to her sister in the past, by the way.
  19. Yes. But she won't do any of that because she knows better.
