    @ShootingStar159 Well, he want a canonical explanation. @RulesofRarity The only canonical explanation we get in the show is Starlight gets strong when she pissed so dont provoke her. She cant even lift heavy stuffs with her magics, even Trixie can lift heavy stuffs... Starlight is more like an Element of Magic than Twilight herself.

    *Finished watching A Matter of Principal* First of all, I have to say this ep is decent at visual gags, almost all the characters in this ep are nice (except Discord, Iron Will,Cranky and the Dragon sneering tree). Starlight and Spike is my dream team, it's good to see they are together again. Starlight can banish people now, you better not piss her off. Overall, an 7 out of 10 episode, an OK episode, not the best episode to start a season after the episode 18 which is just an average episode, I am a bit hungry for amazing episodes ……………... But that not all I really want to say about this ep, just my tradition to say something nice about an episode even I don't like the most of it. The primary thing I want to say about this ep is Random: My most favorite line: 'This is your last warning.' - Starlight Glimmer. Where Maud and Spitfire anyway, they could be the coolest teachers, the writer just introduce them and leave them out for some reasons...

    Fluttershy should be in this ep, there is no way she cant, she's a teacher, right? Somehow, they will make her conveniently disappear in this ep... Anyway, even without Spike or Fluttershy, there are Rarity, RD, AJ and Pinkie who will keep an eye on Discord if he does something fishy, unless the plot needs some idiocy to make it works so... Let hope Discord just want to prank Starlight for the lulz and they are just harmless prank and everyone hug in the end...….. 'Synopsis: Discord gets frustrated when Twilight Sparkle leaves Starlight in charge of the School of Friendship, so he does his best to make her new role impossible.' No, this ep wont end well if Discord just sabatoge Starlight because of some petty reasons, he should have a very REASONABLE reason for this. Ah, I got it, maybe when Starlight is in charge of Friendship school, she acts like a dictator that make everyone (including Fluttershy) miserable so Discord has to stop her, sound better right!? but that will make Starlight a bad guy...….. To make this episode, at least one of them, Starlight or Discord, must be a bad guy.

    I agree that a lot of jokes are so unfunny but I personally like the atmosphere of that ep, the feelings of being left out. This ep miraculously works for me. Right now, Spike is voice of reasons for both craziest adult characters of the show and he's still Twilight's voice of reason too, that kid is too incredible so he need to be left out. Common sense should be saved for the last few minutes or some episodes WONT WORK.

    The premise of this ep is interesting but what matter is the one who wrote this. Nick or Debuc is a safe choice for me. If this ep is just about Discord sabotage Starlight just because some petty reason, some people will not like it for the same reasons with What About Discord, Three's Crowd, Celestial Advice or even Make New Friends but Keep Discord. This ep will be more fun if Starlight return to her old self and show Discord why she is the best villain of the series and ruin his day but people will complain about 'character progression' so its safer for Starlight to be a innocent victim and Discord is the bad guy but other people will complain about how they 'make everyone bad just to make Starlight look better'. The solution for this mess is they dont release this episode in the first place or use Nick to make it work. Please dont be another Non-compete Clause.

    Rainbow Dash, NEVER come to Sugercube Corner to help Pinkie making Cupcake while her mane look flat. How many times you have to die in some bloody fanfiction to give you some deja vu about your horrific endings. *I feel bad for missing Cupcake reference in my first watch.

    *Watching Yakity Sax...* This ep just make me chuckle for 6 minutes, just keeping doing that I don't care if the story suck or anything, hahaha (no plz don't take this comment seriously, of course the story matters) - Angel's torture porn is amusing - Dash outright begging Pinkie to stop is fucking hilarious. - "Apple-solutely"!??? Excuse me? Rarity did this terrible apple pun!? After the lastest EQG special!? OMG! - Fluttershy's repeating animation (to quietly tell Pinkie go away) will be the new GIF. - The trophy look like Scootaloo, they really love make fun of Scootaloo's inability to fly, what a jerk. Even it's a 2nd, RD is not even happy about it and throw it away...…. - Pinkie can explode apple with her music, she should join NOISE MARINE. (I am talking about Warhammer 40K) - Reading in the library is boring, Twilight solution is bring all the books and read them outside. Let see what happen next... *Finished Watching Yakity Sax...* - Pinkie really takes the Yaks culture seriously that she want to move out Ponyvillage just because her friends tell her she is not good at bagpipes. The solution is just let Pinkie keep doing what she loved and turn out the Yaks enjoy it. A very simple children cartoon show ending, isn't it? - The first 10 minutes of the episode entertained me so much but after Pinkie gets sad, things get a bit boring. Pinkie is not usually sad but when she does, we should pay attention to what happen to her, what she is thinking, whether she become insane or depressing, but in this ep, we didn't see what Pinkie think until the end of the episode, just some montage to tell us that she is depressing. The solution is too rush and too simple, this ep is just running out of steam so fast after act 2. They don't build up enough to make me take Pinkie love for yovidaphone seriously as it's intended to be. - I like how they take the lesson from Horse Play to apply in this situation... in the wrong way... I give this ep a 6/10 (mostly because of how entertaining the act 1 was). Not a very good episode welcome me back to ponies, especially its PINKIE EPISODE, PINKIE EPISODES SHOULD NOT BE BORING!!!!

    - Pinkie really takes the Yaks culture seriously that she want to move out Ponyvillage just because her friends tell her she is not good at bagpipes. The solution is just let Pinkie keep doing what she loved and turn out the Yaks enjoy it. A very simple children cartoon show ending, isn't it?

    My thoughts about EQG Rollercoaster of Friendship :

    RariJack is too intensifying for me and there is not enough rollercoaster.:sealed:

    The park setting is a bit dull and it didn't contribute to the story or anything. (Not enough rollercoaster)

    The villain is even more dull than Jupiter Montage and 20% less cuter.

    Angry Sunset is what i want to see more than often. It's good to see her a bit useless in this film.

    Rarity new ability is cool, now she has long-ranged attack. She got a shield and a lightning whip. OP plz nerfffffffff.

    Fluttershy is just so funny in this film even when she is captured. That salad bowl.

    Raindow Dash is supposed to be a daredevil, why is she afraid of the rollercoaster. What happen? Is my speculation about RD characters wrong all the time?

    I was shocked when i saw Nick Confalone name in the credit. This is not his usual episode, his episodes are not supposed to be boring, what happen? His Forgetten Friendship is just amazing. Not enough rollercoaster, Nick!:blush:

    Pretty average EQG. EQG started to go back to its mediocrity trend a little bit, hope the next time will be better.

    Random: this film has more Diamond Tiara than 3 seasons of mlp combine. What is wrong with you, show????

    Hate and disrespect? I think she is just an underrated princess because the show didnt give her enough screentime and character development she need. Princess Celestia used to be pretty underdeveloped in the show until S7 fix it, i hope the show will do same for Cadance.... or maybe its just too late because we just dont have many season left.

    Another wall of texts from our beloved buffalo. Your review make me appreciate this episode more. This ep is just great if you doesnt get overhyped by Hasbro's advertising, similar to Equestria Games which is the decent one. You already covered most of this episode so i just share my highlight moments from TM6: - I love the scene Chrysalis threatened to kill (or destroy, whatever) Twilight Snarkle but she didnt even flinch and talk back Chrysalis, and the best part is Chrysalis ENJOYED this. Chrysalis hate disobedience but yet she still find miss Snarkle amusing. Best villain vs villain scene. - Pinkie conform Fluttershy and stand up to Twilight is one of her best moments since the movie. The writers love to use Pinkie character to question Twilight's princess of Friendship status. In addition, Pinkie finally redeemed herself for whatever she did to Fluttershy in Filly Vanilli. - I shouldnt forget to mention how horrifying the death of the Mean 6 is. The reason this scene is one of the darkest moment of the show to me, because, in my unpopular opinion, the mean 6 members (maybe except Snarkle or Flutterbitch) didnt deserve that horrific death. They are awful people but the episode display their awfulness in comedic fashion. Some bad ponies like Sven, Suri Polomare or Spoiled Rich make you want to strangle them because the episodes in particular, portray them in more realistic/serious tone, they are made to be hated. The mean 6 is more like villains in the comedic setting, they are kind of villains who are destined to fail no matter what, you just cant take them seriously (maybe not with miss Snarkle case), they are kind of villain that you love to see their asses kicked in the most slapstick ways possible, not BRUTALLY MURDER. That scene is just hardcore, no rainbow beam or anything, just creepy white life-sucking tentacles. Shock value! This ep is really great in the second watch after the expectations dies down, i didnt like it that much in my first watch because of the hype.

    S8 didn't have many god-tier episodes just like S7 (Parental Glideance, A Royal Problem, The Perfect Pear, Discordant Harmony) but it has better overall score compare to S7 first half, only truly bad episode this season is Non-compete Clause, the others are 7 out of 10 at worst. S7 just has many low-tier episodes that give you a bad impression of the season, until some amazing episode save them from being mediocre, they has Fluttershy Leans In, Honest Apple, Hard to Say Anything and Not Asking for Trouble (which is a not good choice for mid-finale). S8 so far didn't have many WOW factor to me, they are very predictable so far but they are more enjoyable overall, not exceptional but consistent.

    Instead of a Diamond Tiara episode with Babs Seed's comeback, they will keep release more 'cool' friends for CMC.

    If Cozy Glow turn out to be something relevant in the finale (or even better, a little evil), then i will give this ep a 9.5/10 but for now, i give it a 8/10. This ep is just funny even you dont get what characters are saying (i am talking about the early releases), and that's good, i love good old cartoons can make me giggle even i cant understand what the characters are saying. I have 3 problems with this ep: - Twilight get angry with CMC. That scene just irritated me Maybe i should be happy because she takes her job seriously... - The episode resolved too fast, i feel a bit dull. - The episode gave us some unsettling vibes from Cozy Glow but then turned out she is a good kid and that's all. That's a bit disappointing. If they make her something relevant in the second half of the season, i will remove this negative. Random: - I know Starlight has some meme potential inside her, she just has to release it. Go, Starlight! Show me your memes! - I hope Starlight and Cozy Glow can be evil master and apprentice. - I guess Cheerilee school is not good enough for CMC anymore. Friendship is the popular major nowaday. Look at Twilight, who mastered Friendship and look at her position right now, a castle, a private school with some funding from Canterlot (my theory). Friendship for the win.

    The only problem with this episode is the overused of cliche plots. The misunderstanding plot is just overused and not with many twists. Mlp episodes used to be a bit more unpredictable than that, i hope it will return to its former form. All in all, still a better Heart & Hooves Days episode and overused cliche plot is not the biggest sin ever to me. 8/10
