  1. Since Twilight hatched him ("unnatural birth"), He's actually a preemie
  2. I always just thought the same... It just fills the syllables, really. I always hear "and magic makes it all complete to have my little pony/ponies". Which in my mind means nothing but just sounds good when you DONT analyze it xD
  3. In that case that the OP's lyric transcription is correct, I'd take it that.... "You have my little ponies" which is followed by "do you know you are my very best friends"... therefore: I have my very best friends, who are my little ponies. Eh?
  4. Reminder of the Sonic Rainboom episode where he was hatched as a tiny dragon by Twilight during her test. Maybe he was thieved from his original dragon-family for Celestia's school to use as a teaching tool. How unfortunate, he probably doesn't and never will know his dragon family.
  5. That I considered, but in my mind it's just unlikely... Although I really want to say that relative-colored auras for unicorns weren't established in season one... I remember seeing somewhere in season 1, Twilight picked something up with magic but the aura I believe was light blue... Don't quote me on that, though
  6. Oh man, I still prefer FO3 to New Vegas... I tell everyone, I got 1/2 way through New Vegas and had discovered ALL of the locations in about 3 months. I've complete the 'campaign' for Fallout 3 probably 6 months ago and I just found a huge new locations 2 days ago. go figure. Fallout 4 look alike it'll be sweet! I'm actually sort of glad they kept the graphics at the same quality.... It gives a certain 'unified' aesthetic that doesn't change across the series.
  7. I remember in the Season 2 premiere with Discord, Applejack would pucker her lips and look up when she was lying... REALLY special case, though. I think the traits they carry when lying tend to be the exact same as those we humans have.
  8. Bulk Biceps... He's a pegasus, from crying out loud, and he's just way too much muscle mass to be healthy. Can't even fly, which is certainly a detriment.
  9. Pinkie Pie is actually the true god of Equestria- she is all-seeing and all-knowing, capable of defying any physics and able to simply and solve problems instantly.
  10. Rats, I played quite far through both KH1 and 2 (as well as Chain of Memories and 358 days/2), and a few of the Zelda games... I don't know. I like the overall lore and variety found in the Zelda games more, plus I think the story tends to be simpler. Square is going HARD in terms of convoluting and overstuffing the story of Kingdom Hearts, in my opinion, especially if you don't follow game-by-game.
  11. Just wanted to drop a case-in-point... listen: http://www.tvcommercialspots.com/food-and-beverage/hersheys-caramels-give-it-to-me-im-worth-it-feed-your-fancy-fifth-harmony-worth-it-hersheys-caramel-hersheyscaramel-fifthharmony-worthitfeedyourfancy-smores/ Jump to 0:47 - It's like they didn't try. come on. be original. be yourself- imitate those who make an impression and improve or alter that otherwise, it's just the same thing, a broken record looping over and over.
  12. This! It's like the popular way to go is conformity... You get the most money from just following the trends and doing what the popular artists do. No one is looking to break the mold, everyone just wants to find "that" feeling and make it last...That sucks because its really pushing these 'formulaic' methods for "writing"/producing music to the forefront and turning music from an art form into a science where you can find the trends and move with them. Produce nearly-identical results, pull the same crowd each time into spending increasing amounts of money on more and more of the same old thing. This all to say that it would be cool if members around here took some interest in the Equestria Big Band in my signature. I'm a real nut for Frank Sinatra, the Count Basie Orchestra, etc, and their influences have made huge impacts on the way music has developed in America, and throughout the world.
  13. I like rap, but not really much mainstream stuff. I try to find rappers who talk about actual important things or have unique styles. I'm more of a jazz guy myself, though. I think it comes down to that music is becoming freer, and people are (dare I say it) getting less talented: hence, less singing, more Auto-Tune. Less actual high-quality rhyming and poetry, more rap about drugs, money, sex, etc, vanity, whatever. The current generation is coming to accept lower quality, "instant" reality. The value of high-quality is diminishing as the number of people who value high quality diminish. (I hope I said that right)
  14. I occasionally un-brohoof things when I didn't mean to brohoof them in the first place. I pretty much don't do it beyond that... I try not to BH TOO much but sometimes there are so many people to agree with that it's hard to stop myself.
  15. To rebut about the desperate universe theories, I do feel like people are wanting to tend towards saying that the show and comics stand like, for example, Spectacular and Amazing Spider-Man. Clearly two different people in different universes. The comics CAN'T be regarded like that, IMO. I think occasionally you can just merge the comic/show canonicity, other times you sort of have to take it as a "what if" situation. It's definitely hard to tell but I think the best bet is to just wait and see how the COMIC WRITING staff sees their stories in the MLP universe. Or if the show writers/Hasbro/big power declare the comics non-canon, to where it undeniably confirmed.
  16. I'll read them either way. For me, it's more of like Star Wars' "expanded universe", and since they don't seem to want to be clear, I'll just go ahead and continue to integrate what I see in the comics into what I know from the show.
  17. Nuts. That ruins the vast majority of my headcanons, then. I've read a huge chunk of the comics (CAN'T WAIT to get my hands on Fiendship is Magic), and I've ALWAYS regarded them as mostly canon, but this way like the OP said, now they're just glorified fanfiction. I do have to agree that it's good that they remain separate... A lot of stuff about the comics seem to be very different, from how they handle characterization to the types of stories they choose. I think I do prefer the show, but in my mind, the comics were just a nice way to look more into the world of Equestria. "It's my home, and I love it."
  18. Does anyone else think it'd just be another little girls' show? I mean, let's be real... if a show like this was created, it would be designed to be uber-girly. It would have been much frillier from the start. It perhaps would have been marketed to an even younger audience.
  19. Obviously Rainbow, although I think Rarity is a close second.
  20. You can think of it two ways; The heirarchy is design to be cute and nice for little girls, using princesses and princes and simple ideas like that. OR The MLP universe just works different politically from how we use the terms and titles in our world. Take your pick. Honestly I have no idea how the entire hierarchy works. Blueblood is a prince but is the nephew of Celestia/Luna, who are princesses. Why is Blueblood not in power? Twilight suddenly becomes an alicorn randomly and is granted the titled of "Princess". Clearly it's a title bestowed by a sort of higher, unseen power.
  21. i'm REALLY glad she's being written this way more often. Heck, she was like that back in first season, but now she's getting to be less of the 'God' and 'Mom' and more of just another character with her own actual personality. I love it!
  22. Honestly I get the impression they KNOW each other already, at least I'd hope so. Zecora is pretty secluded, yeah, but she's been instrumental in saving Ponyville (and Equestria) many times.
  23. I do wish they went into detail on him in the show. He's a prominent character in a comic book arc, but then how canonical is that considered to be
