    I'm not sure I have an opinion on the art style... I guess as long as they stay away from a genuine 3d look I'd be cool with that. There's something just too uncanny about 3d animated kids shows (movies are fine, but the quality isn't as good for tv). I feel like I DO want G4 to last forever, but I'm open to new things as long as G5 is vaguely consistent with how G4 makes me feel. As long as I feel the bronyhood and connection, and as long as there are deep, interesting, well-designed characters who I get to look into and understand, I'm good.

    I wouldn't feel so bad if she went thru the multiverse portal to be with good-Sombra (arc from comic #19, I think) I do wonder what they'll do ... Maybe Twilight somehow loses ALL of her friends and has to get them back

    I know some of you might argue that Equestria is designed to be recognizable to us viewers (but try to think of this in terms of practicality in the MLP universe). So has anyone noticed that the only thing that is truly designed specifically for pony-use are their two-key typewriters? NO other object we've seen thus far appears to be ergonomically designed for equines. They do everything with their mouths, for crying out loud! That's gotta be unsanitary. Do you think there's an arguable explanation for this (inside the context of the show)? (Or do you write it off as having to be identifiable for a human audience)

    Is it like calling the collective N. ,S. and Cnt. Americas "America"? Even though us Americans call the United States of America simply "America"?

    I think the point is that now we're getting to see the Mane 6 put their knowledge of friendship into action. I like it because it's starting to feel more continuous (ala Adventure Time). However for some of the episodes, you really would have to have seen the preceding episode. I think before this season, most people could've jumped right into watching the show at any point, but now you have to have a little knowledge of what has happened earlier in the series. Our timeline is being made more accurate!

    I think simply because we HAVE to accept EQG and parallel universes as canon, means that we have to be okay with a cross-over. The problem right now is that there have been NO references in the show to the parallel world but for me, beyond EQG, the human world has some substance and weight in the multiverse and it would be cool for that to be touched on in the show. Just my opinion. On another note, I don't like Sunset Shimmer. First she's thoroughly evil, then after being blasted with a friendship ray, suddenly becomes a useless background tag-along "friend" with for the others to blame their problems on.

    I get the impression it floats around $0.75 USD. I dunno- 1$ seems like a lot per bit.

    Apple's are presumably deceased. I think SOMEONE said that they were symbolized in a pair of shooting stars in one episode. So we don't know the two pair of Pegasus parents... I'd love to see Fluttershy's family and learn about what made her into who she is.

    Oh wow, I forgot about that Metal Gear reference. I knew I KNEW what it was, but I couldn't put my finger quite on it. not very subtle at all though!

    I get the impression this season is gonna focus more on everyone around the Mane 6. Heck, I wanna say we've only had ONE episode so far that is about any character from the M6- the rest have been ALL 6, CMC, or other characters. Pretty cool way to go for far, I think. It would be cool to see some other more 'background-ish' characters star a bit more.

    yea. actually, lately I might stop and just say, "I don't know why but I LOVE this.". It's weird to me but where it used to feel weird to watch a 'little girl's show', I feel totally in the right place. It's just like watching Adventure Time or any other show aimed at that audience for me (which I also love, btw) still gotta hide it from the fam tho

    I do think this would be cool, and it's what I WANTED season 4 to be. Adventure Time has a nice way of making each episode individual and fragmented enough that they can mostly be watched out of order, yet there are plenty of story elements to follow it straight thru. I guess MLP works better in this way because not only can they show re-runs, but those who don't watch it as a serial won't feel like they're missing little chunks of story. I would love to see a little bit more of a single story line throughout a season, though.

    Intersting thought, because what came to mind for me is that the Mane 6 are coming to the end of their 'learning phase', and so this season should hopefully focus a bit on displaying them putting what they've learned about friendship into action. I think that's what I've even waiting for, given that all the characters HAVE grown, and now I want to see more of them, I suppose.

    I think it's nice because now she's getting the chance to develop her personality from being Equestria's Mom, to being another actual character, with limits, like and dislikes, flaws and all. This IS the second time she's wanted something like this to happen at the Gala... Maybe she'll get a chance to really spread her wings (no pun intended)

    I like Trixie. I see her get a lot of hate, but I think she's just rather misguided, as if she's a far-exaggerated version of Rainbow Dash. I have this adore/despise thing about her voice too, and I think her design is just awesome. I can't say I'd like to see more of her particularly (because her feature episodes are boring), but I definitely rather appreciate her character.
