    If it were a parody kind of thing like the mentally abridged series where the joke is that the characters are "normal" characters in a sugary world behaving in a normal cynical way, I'd be down for it. But I don't think we really want "adult", I think more middle tier kid territory would be good, like Samurai jack or voltron kind of level. That could work, but going past that would be pushing it.

    Some reformations are nice; They're like salt on your food. when Virtually every single villain gets redeemed it starts to feel overdone and like you're drowning in it. You can have friendship be important in more ways than just "Reform"-- Friendship is important too when it gives you the strength to overcome an impossibly strong foe instead, like Return of harmony.

    She may not be writing, but she's the Head of all girl's Entertainment, meaning it is still her job to oversee MLP as the final boss of it; Given her close ties with the show and brand, I would expect at least SOME input from her on how things should go for two parters and villains/adventure scenarios.

    If she DOES get reformed, then I'm calling McCarthy out as a dirty, dirty hypocrite, given she did that "not every villain should be reformed its unrealistic" line a while back when fans were complaining about all the redemptions. >:(

    There's a complete comic/image of the movie book coming out apparently too that seems to sync up with what we know.

    capper's voice just doesn't really seem to fit; his lines just felt incredibly jarring to me. Cool looking bit of animation of the storm king there, animation really is good for this movie; and Rarity's line, while kind of bad sounding on paper, actually works with Tabitha's incredible delivery. Still no Fluttershy or AJ lines or, well, ANYTHING in these trailers, makes me worry that those two are gong to basically get the shaft in actual roles in the movie. (Since I know that the way fluttershy originally was supposed to showcase honesty in the script was them meeting some Mud trolls after the pirates, and that got scrapped). The fact that AJ and fluttershy generally seem to sell less toys than the big three (Twi, PInkie, RD) also makes me worry that corporate demands might have snubbed those 2 for screentime/importance.

    When has a villain ever been defeated in a way besides "All powerful magical blast that is barely explained and gained at the last second"?

    No, not from the past. the finale will be in present time, the comics are just fleshing out what happened in the past when the person was first free, kind of like if they did a comic about what sombra did 1000 years ago before being beaten (which they did XD)

    The IDW staff said the Shadowlock comic was directly tying into the S7 finale, and the entire plot is about Shadowlock being terrified of his ancestor ever returning so he's trying to destroy all information about him to prevent him from ever being brought back; The image at the end is pretty clearly supposed to be his ancestor, so there you go.     so Here's a question; the legends of magic in the show, while also exemplifying the EOH traits of the mane six, seemed to exemplify OTHER traits almost as much if not more as their primary virtues; Rockhoof was more about determination and hard work than Honesty (or honest... AT ALL), Mistmane was about inspiring others and bringing out the beauty/good in them just as much as generosity, and while laughter is supposed to represent hope for what pinkie taught twilight, they emphasized that much more than Laughter for somnambula. Likewise Flash was about courage just as much if not more than Loyalty. Do you think its possible they might be trying to play up other virtues of the six for this season, and if so what do you expect for Fluttershy and Twilight? (Presuming they're meadowbrook and Starswirl)

    Yeah, kind of getting tired of her TBH, she's a little overexposed. But then again, they've been reforming villains left and right to the point that they don't HAVE any other people they can use really. Discord got Reformed, Trixie (while a bit weak, she could maybe have done a villain team up with other minor villains) got reformed, Luna of course got reformed, Sombra is unusable due to continuity snarl of the comics reforming him, Starlight got reformed... The only options they really have Are chrysalis, Tirek and "make a new villain". (One reason why I hope that if they really decide to follow through with the GOH thing at some point, they'd dial back the redemptions a bit) True. I just would hope it wouldn't be like 28 pranks later was to MMDW >.< >marsha roberto turns out to be the S8 finale villain

    I would have wanted that as a plot thing, but To change a changeling pretty explicitly stated that all the reticent changelings wanting to go back to their old ways came around without any trouble to being transformed ones. Wouldn't that come off a bit similiar to caballerron's plan from Daring done? to basically slander a hero that's been opposing them to break their spirit? I'm kind of wondering about that school, it seems like a very random leap to go from "Defeat the pony of shadows" to "Lets make a school!" There's gotta be more of a reason for twilight to want to create a school for friendship rather than just having a building they could use pop up.

    The youtube series I think will be a series of shorts (like 5-10 minutes), so the term "short" is probably still a valid description.

    I think everyone's powers are getting stronger, based around the group's mumbling at the end when sunset asked if anyone else was noticing a sudden increase in their abilities. I'm kind of looking forward to what Pinkie's ends up doing seeing as hers is the most problematic for a power that gets out of control (which is to say probably the most HUMOROUS based on the end of legend of everfree :p)
