Do we really need to discuss this for the 100th time? People hate on the fandom. Don't know why, don't really care either. Let people hate all they want, its not going to stop me from watching the show.

I still don't think its understandable. One of the lyrics in the song she sang was literally "Here's what I know, if you want to succeed, you have to follow the trends thats the key" Literally the exact opposite of the lesson she learned from Canterlot Boutique.

The only thing I didn't like about this episode is that Rarity already had an episode where she learned that going with whats popular isn't the right thing, with her episode when she opened the Canterlot Store. I think they missed an opportunity to have another good development for Rarity. Also the animation in the song was the laziest thing I've seen from this show. They didn't even update the big guy's outfit when they recycled the split screen thing for the 3rd time. I mean I liked the song though. I'll just say it was poetic because they made each scene the same on purpose.

I don't get how Button Mash became such a popular character. Kid had like 2 seconds of screen time.

No, but obesity does. I'm all for body acceptance, and being content with who you are, but there is a difference between someone who is just big because its how they are built, and someone who is obese because they make poor choices. And personally, I don't see how equestria is "accepting" in regards to fat ponies. There usually at the butt end of jokes.

But Sunset was bad from the start, before she got the magic. Even before she came into the human world she had bad intentions. The Human Mane 5 all gained magical abilities, and it didn't all of the sudden turn them evil. Sci-Twi wasn't evil. She didnt understand friendship, but she wasn't evil. Even someone who thinks friendship isn't important and would rather lock themselves in solitude to study things wouldn't want to destroy the world they lived in. I'm not trying to hate on it, it is what it is, I just think if they were gonna go this route, they should have made it more believable that it could happen. Personally if It were me, I would have made Principle Cinch the one who turned evil, because thats something I believe would happen. Maybe Sci-Twi could have taken off the device and left it out of the last game, and just as CHS was about to win, Cinch unleashes it to stop them or something. But I digress. It is what it is, and it was still a cool movie.

Yes, but the point of a cutie mark is its supposed to represent who you are, and what your special talent is. The Mane 6 all have different talents. The CMC's worked together to figure out what their talent was, and they figured out that they all had the same talent in helping others find theirs. So it makes sense their marks are similar, in fact I think it makes it more unique because most ponies don't have similar marks unless they're related. I'm not crazy about the design either, but I don't think its fair to call it a cop out. Ok, just making sure we're all on the same page. Well I think thats a bit of an exaggeration. I mean we've been through several major plot points: Twilight becoming a princess The whole 6 keys castlebox thing Discovering/giving up the elements of harmony Discovering Twilights role as a princess Cutie Map will likely be figured out this season You get the point. The show will go on. Maybe its the end of the CMC episodes. Or maybe its the start of some new sub-plot with them. Who knows? But don't assume the worst, just stay hopeful!

Why is that? The whole message of the show is that friendship is the most powerful magic there is. Taking someone who was once set on evil ways and showing them there is a better way is pretty cool imo.

I called it. ...Ok well technically I called it every time there was a CMC episode, BUT I WAS RIGHT THIS TIME. But srsly, I think they executed this perfectly. I really always thought they would find their own talents, and maybe even have an episode where one gets their mark first or something, but this is so much better.

I'm glad they kept the option of her coming back to equestria open. Especially since Sci-Twi is going to be going to CHS, so sunset could always go back to Equestria and there would still be a main 6 at CHS.
