  1. I assume even if the DVD looks like good condition, no scratches or anything, problems can still arise? I will probably guess yes to that...
  2. I don't really know, the DVD set I am mentioning was first being produced in 2009, so I wouldn't know if anything later would be on a double sided DVD.
  3. I need to get this off of my shoulders, like seriously. I bought a DVD set of PowerPuff Girls like, two years ago, and decided to do a bit of a marathon. The first season I don't think skipped at all, but halfway through Side A of Season 2, kept freezing and glitching, even in more than one player. I played it initially in the Sony BDP-S1700, then in the PS4, and then decided to try the PS2. All of them have the same problem, they freeze and I cannot continue watching it. I don't know if it has to do with the fact that the DVD's are double sided or not, so if anyone can confirm this for me, that would be great. I am finding mixed responses on the internet, and not really a clear answer, although a slight majority say that double sided DVD's can have tons of problems, so I cannot be the only one with this issue. And yes, it was bought DIRECTLY from Amazon, and NOT a marketplace seller, the last time I bought from a third party, the discs were all scratched up and couldn't play at all. Sorry for the rant, I am just sad that I cannot watch PowerPuff Girls properly at the moment...

  5. Oh god, why haven't I come back here more often?

Maybe because you have a busy life outside of MLP Forums?

Either that, or busy streaming on Twitch and making the YouTubes

I do the same tbh. Been really busy outside of MLP Forums, though I do update my blog every time I release the latest content I produce.

I also do stream on Twitch at least 4 times a week (wish I could do more, though I've got personal issues that need to be dealt with asap before I can add more streaming times). http://www.twitch.tv/jonnygames007

  6. I started to do perler bead art, recently, but I have other hobbies too. I stream and make Let's Play's of video games. I collect Disney Blu Ray's. I am also slowly collecting some Shout! Factory DVD's and/or Blu Ray's. Another collecting hobby of mine is video games, from retro to modern.
  7. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty on the PS2. This was my introduction to one of my favorite game franchises of all time, the story telling to this day, is still pure genius.
  8. Mystery Science Theater 3000 Season 11, The Time Travelers episode I recently got back into MST3K, and I forgot how funny it was. It is too bad that a small number of episodes will not get released because people are either butt hurt about their movies getting riffed on, or VERY protective of their copyright.
  9. If anyone cares to know, I have been away from many months to a few years... oops. But, I have been working on a lot of YouTube videos, specifically Let's Play's and reviews, so you can imagine how much video editing has taken up my time and energy. I feel bad that I haven't been in contact with you guys on the forums... I haven't even watched the show in a long time, that I have not even started season 6 yet, so you can imagine how far behind I am in the fandom. I have also been busy looking around my home city for a job in IT work, but nothing has come up, and I cannot afford to move outside my city, so I am having a lot of trouble with a bit of my personal life. So, that is what I have been up to. Hope you enjoyed that cliched story I told... LOL
  10. Had to read this a few times, and I agree, it seems that 90's girl-focused cartoons had boys viewed that way, and I cannot blame the creators for that, after all, it was a different time then, and there was no fandoms or bronies... Back then, we had boy cartoons, and girl cartoons, but nowadays, any audience can enjoy whatever they want, despite any judgement from the public. This somehow feels to be my current favorite non-FiM MLP series, considering that I like slice of life series, like Crayon Shin-Chan and Lucky Star. This series feels like a winner, to me, at least!
  11. I feel so bad that I keep posting a status update every few months, but almost never stay for longer... I need to get back into FiM, since I have been watching other shows... MLP Tales to be exact :P

  12. I recently started watching Tales on DVD from Shout! Factory, and I can't believe I missed out on this one back in the 90's. It has some interesting characters, even though it seems kinda cheesy, but I still like it somehow, despite being a 26 year old male. The theme song is very catchy for me, believe it or not. What does anyone else think of this show?
  13. I came back to this site after so long, what did I miss out on? I was busy watching Rick and Morty, and now I have to wait for season 4... :P

  14. How long ago did the site change the layout? It must've been recently since I was here last time! :o

not even 2 weeks ago, people are sort of getting the hang of it now :P

  15. Waiting for Rick and Morty season 3... I just got into the show, and now I am currently waiting for season 3...
  16. I started watching Rick and Morty, and I can't believe I have been missing out on a great show!

  17. They used to be cool, what ever happened...? They focus on pachinko, and they fired Kojima... Metal Gear is one of my favorite franchises, and they ruined it with Survive...
  18. No, I am just guessing, it might not happen for while, considering Disney owns Marvel, and 20th Century Fox would have to deal with Konami again, same thing with Disney. It kinda sucks that that is the way the world of copyright works. I would love to have the marketplaces keep those games permanently so everyone can experience them. I luckily got TMNT, Simpsons, and X-Men on my Xbox 360, but feel sorry that a lot of users missed out, they will never be able to witness the majesty of the arcade scene in the early 90's...
  19. If you want a good beat-em-up arcade game, try either Turtles in Time or X-Men (This can play up to 6 players!), maybe a bit of The Simpsons. X-Men is alot of fun with 5 other people, so when they re-release all these games on the PS4 and XBONE, get them while you can, they are worth the money in the long run!
  20. Turtles in Time, I never had a chance to play at childhood, we never had a lot of arcades where I live. I only got to play it on MAME unfortunately, so the experience does not feel the same. Turtles in Time is fun though. Luckily I got to play Simpsons though, when I was coming out of the IMAX, I saw the machine, and I BEGGED my parents to let me play one quarter worth.. SO WORTH IT. :)
  21. Anyone still like to play those, either on MAME or Xbox Live Arcade/PSN? To this day, I still play the classics like TMNT, Simpsons, and X-Men. This was before Konami sucked, back when they were cool. I almost never see beat-em-up games anymore, they are very low in numbers these days. The only one I usually see people playing is Castle Crashers, which is fun, I will admit. It is not just beat-em-ups, but also other classics like Donkey Kong and Pac-Man. I can't really describe it, but the feeling of putting a coin in the machine is so satisfying, being able to get your monies worth from a few plays to see how far you could get before running out of time or money. Does anyone still like to play these, or is it just me that is nostalgic for the arcade?
  22. I have been playing The Simpsons Arcade Game on my Xbox 360 almost non-stop recently... SEND FOR HELP
  23. Anyone still watch The Simpsons? I kinda do, but only the first 17 seasons, seeing as FOX is a butt for not continuing the DVD's... :(

  24. Not too surprising... We live in a digital age, where everything is easily accessibly, and at our disposal. Anyone can post anything and anyone can have easy access to it, not just companies, but individuals themselves. Cable has been cut in my house, and we have saved 80 a month because of it, a good portion of dying TV is to probably blame on cable package cost, not everyone has enough money to keep everything going at once. Content on TV has been mostly hit and miss with many consumers, some shows work, some don't. There is not too much creativity anymore, some ideas nowadays are carbon copies of others. A good majority of shows that exist on TV are sitcoms, both mature and family friendly, the idea seems kind of overused and not very creative, but instead uses an idea that is common with a majority of the consumers watching television. Reboots and rehashes of cartoons and shows are not really big, depending on what previous work is being rebooted. An example is The Powerpuff Girls 2016; The old PPG had character and actual humor, that looked back at makes sense, while the 2016 cartoon has been reusing old memes from the Internet as jokes, when they are not humorous being shown on cable TV. But just because these things happen on cable TV, doesn't happen too often with original web series. Netflix has had original series coming out for a while, some good, while some are not. Bojack Horseman is a prime example, while I have not seen it, I have heard good things about it. It proves that cable TV is sometimes restrictive on what content is allowed to be shown on TV, while the Internet is a sandbox of stories and ideas that many creative minds have birthed. So, that is my giant theory about what is going on, I am probably wrong, so feel free to hate me.
  25. So apparently, my little cousins came over and we watched Rainbow Rocks together, and they played with my figures! What a good night to be a brony!
