I bought a steering wheel spinner knob. I needed something to help me steer while my left hand is out of commission and this little thing works great. It’s so fun it makes driving even more addictive.

I haven’t broken any bones so far. I’ve had several surgically removed, but I don’t think that counts.

What Did You Dream About Last Night?
Dreambiscuit replied to Lunaholic's topic in General Discussion
I had a dream in which my brother, sister and myself were out in a grassy area of the desert near Victorville, CA just after dusk. We were hiding in the tall grass, watching a car-sized UFO coming down for a landing. It had spotted our car parked nearby and was coming to investigate. A shortish cyborg, looking like one of those Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em robots (very square and silly looking) came out of the UFO and climbed onto the hood of the car looking for its owners when we pounced on it from behind and subdued it. We were victorious and didn’t even scratch the paint on the car. So it was a fun dream. -
I had a visit from a very sour personality that’s very near and dear to me. It was a great pick-me-up and made me laugh a few times. It seems incongruous but even sour people can be very uplifting when they’re part of the family, which is comprised of a lot of very unique personalities.

What time do you lock the doors at night at home?
Dreambiscuit replied to Reecejackox's topic in General Discussion
I always lock my doors no matter what. Even if I’m only stepping out for a moment I lock the door behind me. And they’re always locked when I’m inside. It only takes a moment for someone to break in and I’m not going to risk my family or myself when I can simply stick a key in a lock. -
Jobs you have never done but would love to do
Dreambiscuit replied to Reecejackox's topic in General Discussion
I'd love to try my hand working at a Japanese Maid Cafe. I could do that and like it. It's not all that different from another job I used to have. -
What was the last thing you drank?
Dreambiscuit replied to Caramel Monsoon's topic in General Discussion
I had some zero calorie generic sports drink with a whole lotta lemon juice poured into it. -
Do you visit the forums to escape your life, or improve it?
Dreambiscuit replied to Splashee's topic in General Discussion
I’m on here today because I’m physically unable to do anything else. I’m ‘infirmed’ at the moment and my usual activities are out of reach. So, yeah, I guess that makes hangin' with you ponies my alternate choice. lolol -
My mom gave me a nice hug and made me feel better. She's such a saint!

mega thread How are you feeling?
Dreambiscuit replied to Rift enchanted's topic in General Discussion
I have a little problem that seemed to materialize out of nowhere and it turned out pretty serious. I have to have surgery next week. I just had surgery a few weeks ago for arthritis, finally got out of the splint, and now this. I’m disintegrating! I feel like I’m in my eighties. -
What did you do with your day?
Dreambiscuit replied to Mare in the Moon's topic in General Discussion
I went to the doctor’s office, then the hospital and finally to the store to fill a prescription, came home around noon, tried to sleep and managed till about 8 pm. Got up, ate, made plans for upcoming Christmas activities and watched a dvd. -
Much appreciated Travissimo. Truly thou art kind.

Things you’re currently/recently obsessed with
Dreambiscuit replied to DubWolf's topic in General Discussion
I’ve had a recent preoccupation of getting a scooter or modest sized motorcycle. I guess watching certain shows and TV can inspire the imagination in unexpected ways, as is the case here. But I’m not obsessed, merely interested and maybe I’ll do something about it in a few years if I can ever save up enough money. -
I was thinking that I am more health-minded and diligent about exercise and diet than anyone in my family, and yet I’ve spent more time at the doctor and in hospitals than all of them put together. I am so sick of being sick.

Raiders of the Lost Art. This is a documentary about classic artists, forgers, famous art heists and art history. Very engrossing and entertaining.

I don’t actually wear perfume or any type of added fragrance beyond my usual daily ablutions. If I were to try any it would be something very light and sweet, with no sharp or harsh aspects to it. No added scent should be more than a faint accent. Just a good clean smell is best for all occasions.

Fictional Restaurants you would want to visit
Dreambiscuit replied to Snoopy Fan's topic in Media Discussion
Mos Eisley Cantina, Club Obi-Wan, Bronto Burgers Drive-In, Gusteau’s, Pizza Planet. South Seas Club. Technically some of these are more clubs than typical restaurants, but as long as they serve food, I'm gonna run with 'em. -
mega thread Last Movie You Watched?
Dreambiscuit replied to GrooveBroove's topic in Media Discussion
Monuments Men (2014) Not a bad movie, about a group of soldiers sent to recover works of art plundered by the Nazis during WW2. Based on a true story it represents a great sacrifice made for something intangible, but no less important, of the human experience. No work of art is worth a human life, but saving art is necessary or some of humanity’s greatest accomplishments will be lost from life. It’s a fine line that makes you think. One could get all philosophical but I’ll spare you that. Rather, I’ll simply say this is a decent movie worth watching, so do so and draw your own conclusions. 7/10 American Graffiti (1973) George Lucas’ first ‘mainstream’ outing after THX-1138 and a sign of better things to come. It made a huge profit (cost $750k and grossed 121 million) and yet George was still up against the Hollywood system making Star Wars immediately after. But we all know how that story turned out. Graffiti is a beautiful movie, well-directed, well-written, coherent and entertaining from end to end. This was an important turning point in George’s career; when he saw the value of a lighter touch and accessibility over the abstract experimental filmmaking he so dearly loved (and still does). This movie stands up well alongside his many great accomplishments. 9.5/10 Unbreakable (2000) A pretty nifty and original movie my M. Night Shyamalan about an everyday ‘superhero’ and the super villain who discovered him. This is what most superhero movies lack; the realistic way that heroes and villains can come from ordinary walks of life but become something more than even they could imagine. The story rings true and the characters are compelling. This is from Shyamalan’s earlier career when he was at his best. 8/10 -
What was the very first video game console you ever owned?
Dreambiscuit replied to Snoopy Fan's topic in Media Discussion
Same here! Coleco Telstar! Had three built-in games; Tennis, Hai Alai and Handball, I think. And there was an Easy, Intermediate and Hard mode. Simple as it was, I still prefer it to the modern systems. The next I had was SuperNES, quite a while later.
