  1. I hope for peace. I just want lasting peace and balance in life.
  2. @Dawnshine Wonder Seems to me that the Rarity dialog you wrote fits her well. I can easily imagine her saying that; it feels right and natural. I wouldn’t change it at all.
  3. Magic Kingdom Parks: Star Tours: I prefer the original one to be honest, but I love the new variations as well. Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye: What can I say? It rocks. People Mover: Gone from Disneyland but still lives on in WDW. Skyway: Also gone, as part of Paul Pressler’s infamous purge. Carousel of Progress: Still hangin’ in there at WDW, and still delivering that priceless vintage Disney magic. Haunted Mansion: Perfect and mostly uncorrupted. Pirates of the Caribbean: Only the absolutely original version. Matterhorn: Still perfect and still unique to Disneyland. Space Mountain: Original, before the music and theming changes. Big Thunder: Timeless classic. Splash Mountain: Back when it WAS Splash Mountain and not that lame Tiana thing. California Adventure: Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: Accept no substitutes; the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout is an unnatural refit just to cash-in on Disney’s Marvel properties and it sucks. The Original version is glorious. Epcot: Spaceship Earth: A classic for a reason. Mission: Space: Orange or green queues; both are great. But I still like the previous Mars incarnation more than the flight over the earth. Frozen Ever After: They slam-dunked this one. I liked the (former) Maelstrom ride but I’m happy to give credit when they do a replacement right. Animal Kingdom: Kilimanjaro Safari: Just plain fun, informative too. Expedition Everest: Try this one at night, in the rain if they’re running it. It’s insane. Hollywood Studios: Tower of Terror: Still the original, I believe…I hope. I could yammer all day on this subject, but I’d better rope it in and limit this to my ‘short’ list.
  4. I believe it was October 15th, 2011, with Lesson Zero. I joined it in-progress about five minutes into the episode while channel surfing. You just never know when something life-changing is going to happen.
  5. I’ve heard of it but that’s the extent of my knowledge. I know pickles pretty well, but pickle ball, no.
  6. 1:40 in the a.m. This is the middle of my nocturnal afternoon.
  7. I have Pegasister moments all the time. I don’t really think about it much because I’m not self-conscious about it. I used to wear ‘Derpy Lives’ t-shirts when I went on vacation (back when Derpy was ponysona non grata) in hopes of eliciting a response, and I got plenty of them. I have pony stickers on my old phone, which never raised an eyebrow. I have pony art in my office at work, and I make no secret of my love of the ponies. No one really cares and why should they? I don’t know if it’s less of an issue because I’m female, but even if I wasn’t I would revel in the notoriety of being exactly who I am and let the world beware. I make a spectacle of myself often enough so maybe I’m just anaesthetized to the responses of others, but again, I’m cool with it regardless.
  8. I relate mostly to Rarity, in general character because I like her style, elegance and generosity. I share a degree of Pinkie Pie’s energetic joy and enthusiasm, and some of Twilight’s intelligence and curiosity. I can’t say I mimic all these traits, but I admire them. So here’s a rundown: Rarity: 50% Pinkie: 20% Twilight: 20% With loyalty, kindness and diligence rounding out the remaining 10%. That’s my list of personal ingredients on a good day.
  9. I wore a pale grey t-shirt with a Star Wars Stormtrooper on it, stretchy jeans and white socks with little pandas on them.
  10. I like orange because it tastes good, looks pretty and doesn’t leave as bad a stain on my tongue as grape. Which would be my second choice.
  11. As far as I can remember I never really had any real online friends until I came here to the MLP Forums. All my online friends are here. Some have come and gone, but in some happy cases old friends have returned after prolonged absences. Some may be gone for good but I always hope they’ll return. I don’t think of any of them as ‘disappearing’ exactly; just taking a break. So maybe I’m an optimist but I don’t really think anyone has truly disappeared.
  12. I live in Anaheim, California, literally within walking distance of Disneyland.
  13. I got a packet of adhesive cable hooks. My life is now complete!
  14. While electrical impulses may course through every part of the brain all the time, that doesn’t necessarily mean we are actually using all those parts. I may have life in all of my limbs but sometimes if I’m sitting lazily in my chair it would be hard to differentiate me from a corpse. The question might be tweaked to ask, ‘Do we use 100% of our brains productively?’ There are so many abilities of the brain that are dormant and never see their potential. For example, psychic abilities; very few people have the gift, but those who do are simply using an aspect of their brains that others haven’t been able to tap into. If we could learn how to access and control every part of our brains we’d be astounded at the amazing abilities that are never used. So, while we may literally ‘use’ every part of our brains in term of electrical impulses and blood circulation, huge possibilities will never be used at all because we simply don’t know how.
  15. Well, I just added another year to my count as of today, but I feel like the same rickety ol’ gal I was yesterday. Honestly I started feeling old(er) when parts of me started falling apart and becoming less limber. That started a couple years ago and I’m 34 now. On the inside I’m still the same person I was when I was 13; alive, ebullient and ready to rock, but my mortal meat suit doesn’t want to keep up as readily. I’m not quite ready for the old folks’ home, but I sadly have to cancel any plans for bungee jumping I might have had for the future. Bummer.
  16. I’ve had the ‘official’ TMNT promotion pizza, but the ingredients were decidedly ordinary. Personally I’ve made pizza with Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce, as well as some dessert pizza with Nutella, marshmallow crème and chocolate chips (or fresh fruit, added after baking). I do like weird ingredients but I haven’t really delved into the vast possibilities of the truly absurd. But this thread makes me want to! I gotta go grab a snack real quick…
  17. Unimaginably grateful. Something huge that’s been hanging over my whole family for a year and a half has been resolved. Thank God.
  18. Looks like one great vacation! Bright, sunny and full of fun. Really nice pics too!
  19. My sparkle would be orange. Not only is orange my favorite color by nature, but it’s also the color most associated with artists. And it just so happens that the thing that makes my sparkle shine brightest is art! I love art! I’ve seen dystopian movies where the characters would discuss what they miss most about the civilized world; some would say video games, air conditioning, deep dish pizza, etc. But I would always say ‘art.’ Art is life, civilization and an act of creation that mortal humans can participate in. It sets us apart from the wild beasts and opens worlds previously unimagined. Best of all it can be shared for the enrichment of all. Art is everything.
  20. I was thinking that it might be North Star, indifferently recolored. She’s a pink Pegasus with purple mane. There are some ponies with compass cutie marks that could have been rendered to look like a star, but none that have that color scheme. Pictures of these slippers show no name-specific pony on the label, front or back, and I’m thinking it’s probably just a generalized pony image randomly colored for best aesthetic effect for the pink slippers. Otherwise she looks like an earlier gen of my OC. Maybe we’re related!
  21. I worked at Goodwill once for about two weeks, but they never had any cool merch I could latch on to. Oh well.
  22. until

That's awesome, Snoop! May the Fourth be with you, and may a fork be with you so you can eat lots of cake.
  23. Watched the latest batch of Andor but I'll hold further comment until the rest of the series airs and I can give a more complete review.
  24. This may not be the most original choice in the world but its one of my favorite songs from anywhere and its gonna be my choice. I can't watch it though cuz I'll start crying up a storm...again.
  25. Spirited Away (2001) A perfect Studio Ghibli movie. Maybe the best of Miyazaki’s ‘big’ movies. Just plain perfect. 10/10 Arrietty (2010) Beautiful movie. And interesting to compare the original Japanese dialog with the British and American dubs; each having some little variations that expand on one aspect of the story or another. 9/10 My Little Pony The Movie (2017) I was wondering if this is the last perfect movie made in the world. I can’t think of anything better made since this masterpiece came out. They had a lot of high expectations to live up to and they slam-dunked it. There are few movies I consider perfect and this is one of them. Flawless classic of MLP goodness. 10/10 The Accountant (2016) This started out pretty good, with an interesting title character and plenty to hold the attention. The second half of the movie slowed down a lot though, with too much exposition that wasn’t necessary to the plot. Okay but far from perfect. 6/10 Chronicle (2012) This movie shows what super powers can do in the hands of irresponsible teens who fail to see a bigger picture than using it to play pranks on bystanders. Half the movie was spent on such frivolities when it could have cut to the meaningful stuff much sooner and given us a stronger movie. This movie has the makings of its own franchise but failed to launch, so to speak. There's lots of room for sequels with all the things that didn't happen in this movie. By the way, the Director's Cut is way worse than the original theatrical version. 6/10
