general Do you often feel yourself being socially awesome?
Dreambiscuit replied to Invincible's topic in General Discussion
I used to be more social by habit, but that’s been fading since people started throwing toilet paper at me and telling me to go away. I’m not overly social and I’m not awesome. Lately I’ve been trying to avoid social interaction in real life, and awesomeness wouldn’t apply to my pretending to be a piece of furniture in the desperate hope that no one will notice me and attempt conversation. -
Do you sometimes feel your posts don't matter?
Dreambiscuit replied to Away's topic in General Discussion
I don’t really care if they make any great impact because it’s just casual stuff for the most part. If they have any benefit for anypony I’m very glad of it, but I’m not breaking a sweat overthinking it. Whether or not they matter is up to the person reading them and of little concern to me once I’ve sent my brilliant missives into the world. -
I’d be around 68 and living in a house full of cats, sneezing my brains out because in my premature senility I forgot that I was allergic to cats. Otherwise I imagine things would be more or less the same. I don’t have any long term goals at this point and would be living vicariously through my children. I’d probably be a grandma (the fun kind that carries cupcakes in her purse and has no filter in public places).

If you were rich would you have a maid?
Dreambiscuit replied to Fluttershutter's topic in General Discussion
Interesting question. There are plenty of times I’d love to have someone take up the slack and tend to the many tasks that I don’t have time for, so I guess I’d be okay with it. But if I had a maid I wouldn’t want her to be around all the time because I like my privacy and wouldn’t enjoy having a stranger in my home on a full-time basis, so a part-timer would be the way to go. If I lived in a vast estate where I didn’t have to interact with the help too much and felt there was a degree of separation, I’d be more comfortable having regular staff. -
Talk'n aboot career pathways and society.
Dreambiscuit replied to SwigglySwiggly's topic in General Discussion
I wanted to do many things, mostly unattainable stuff, but ended up working at Disneyland, where I've made my career. But being an architect, designer, Imagineer and so many other things have been on the list of desired pursuits. Don't give up on things because they seem impossible because SOMEONE has to do it and you'll never know unless you try. Most celebrities for example have gotten where they are by luck, with talent playing a far smaller role. You just have to be tenacious and work at being the best you can be. There is a demand for people who give it their best in any walk of life. One thing I'd strongly recommend to anyone, especially people who are younger and have some elasticity in their brains; LEARN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE OR A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT! Even if you have no interest in either things, or suck at both of them, do it anyway and doors will open for you. These are two things I wish I'd have done when I was younger, and the biggest regrets as far as professional applications are concerned. -
A grey Tokyo Disneyland t-shirt, with black jeans, and blue socks with little snowflakes and penguins on them.

mega thread How are you feeling?
Dreambiscuit replied to Rift enchanted's topic in General Discussion
Tired but otherwise fine. It’s nice to be back on the forums again after being away for a long time. Not sure when I’ll be back again, but for now I’m enjoying it. -
Which labels would you put on yourself?
Dreambiscuit replied to Blaze Bronson's topic in General Discussion
'Do Not Open Till Christmas,' 'Contents Under Pressure,' and 'Caution: Toxic Waste.' I know this thread s talking about something more personality-oriented rather than literal sticky labels, but the aforementioned still apply. -
What are you waiting for right now?
Dreambiscuit replied to gamecubeguy214's topic in General Discussion
Waiting for Christmas, but hoping it doesn't get here too soon. I love it but I want the season to last a good long time and right now it's flying by. So, waiting, but not rushing it. -
Favorite Winter Activities When You Were a Kid
Dreambiscuit replied to Snoopy Fan's topic in General Discussion
Snowball fighting and building elaborate snow fortresses. Maybe not quite THIS elaborate, but not half bad either. -
food What was the last food you ate?
Dreambiscuit replied to ManaMinori's topic in General Discussion
I had a taco with caviar on it. Weird. For dessert, a Christmas cupcake and some Harry Potter Butterbeer. -
Does the unkindness in the world ever get you down?
Dreambiscuit replied to Shawn Parks's topic in General Discussion
Nope, the unkindness of others doesn’t really get me down too much because I have no control over what other people choose to do. If I let every negative aspect of the world get to me I’d go crazy. All anyone can do is be the best they can be and not worry when weaker personalities try to inflict misery on others. -
What does you MLP collection look like?!
Dreambiscuit replied to Ghostythemosty's topic in General Discussion
I don’t have a very extensive collection and all my MLP merch is scattered in various places all over the apartment, so I’m too lazy to compile and photograph it. It consists of a couple small plushies, Advent calendar, some figurines, t-shirts and dvds. That’s about it. -
This is my first visit to the forums here for a month and a half. Its been busy but today I only had to fix some decorations, finish my Christmas cards and wrap one present for someone who didn't have time to finish. I have lots more to do but I'll put it off till tomorrow cuz I missed being here and wanted to spend some time with my ponies.

My grandma, who used to enjoy a little wine with meals, but hadn't for a long time, finally had some wine this evening...and then some more...and then a little bit more. Soon she was acting quite boneless and silly. It was quite amusing to see my 82 year old grammy cutting loose like that; it was hilarious.

Sometimes a good condescending phrase can be a lot of fun, and a strategic way of insulting people without giving them room to retaliate. "I'd rather be with you people than the greatest people in the whole world!"

A St. Therese of Lisieux t-shirt, for All Saints Day. I’m still on a nighttime schedule, so I’m a day behind.

What Do You Plan To Do 10 Minutes From Now?
Dreambiscuit replied to EpicEnergy's topic in General Discussion
Not sure actually. I have so many things on my list, but I’m tired and not sure what I’m up for. Maybe I’ll do something creative if I can drag it out of myself. -
What did you do with your day?
Dreambiscuit replied to Mare in the Moon's topic in General Discussion
I went shopping, relocated my Jasmine plant to an indoor table, started printing components for a creative project and now I’m looking lustfully at some cardboard pizza in the fridge. -
general What were you doing just 10 minutes ago?
Dreambiscuit replied to Lisa's topic in General Discussion
I was testing a memory foam cushion on my chair. I wanted to see how long it would take to pop back into shape after I sat on it for a half hour. It only took about 20 seconds, not bad. The old classic NPR one from the 80s? Awesome series! -

Dreambiscuit replied to ManaMinori's topic in General Discussion
I had a BK Jack-O-Lantern Whopper for Halloween and it was so yummy. It was pretty much the same taste but it had an orange bun, and these things matter! -
The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity. This is a harmless enough series, but it’s rather slow-going. And as much as I love the excessive politeness of Japanese culture, the characters in this show take it to extremes. They all have a permanent droplet of nervous perspiration on their cheeks, as though they’re going to have a heart attack if they don’t apologize over and over and over again for some meaningless fault. Everything in the story is so simple; there’s very little real conflict, and the girl even does all the work to pave the way for the boy to avoid his romantic shyness. It’s the most stress-free romance I’ve seen in an anime, and yet everyone in it is so stressed out and sorry for living. Obviously I don’t mind politeness, but it gets out of hand and the story just sits there, going nowhere, while everyone frets away each episode. I’m not sure I’m going to stick with it.
