  1. What do I think? I think people are exaggerating, is what I think. Not many people seem to have considered that Trump's campaign may well have all been an act and a commercial. He is a business man after all. I don't think we can guess WHAT he will do now. Not that that's particularly reassuring, but still, I doubt he is as extreme as he has chosen to present himself. Also he's smart. Most young men who got a million bucks from their dad would've blew it all and got into major trouble, but Trump built off of it. And he's going to keep on building up until he builds that wall Sorry, I had to.
  2. >Gone for a week, 86 notifs, almost all are status updates. Getting through them all takes awhile lol

    1. Discordian

      Discordian

I turned off status update notifications specifically for that reason. It's ridiculous and tedious. lol

  3. Man, I love being proven right. #feelsgoodman

  4. As it has always been, so it will always be.

  5. Yes! Yes! I hate so much when media does this. If the moment has levity, treat it as such. Do not throw that involvement away. As for why I began watching, there was not any reason to it. I was young. 13 years old. My social skills were on par with a 5 year olds due to lack of experience with others. I was enjoying a blissful time in my first social experience - an internet forum. A person on this forum was one of the more... extroverted bronies. He asked me to try the show. So, with the innocent curiousity of an obedient child, I did so. After all, I still rewatched Arthur, Clifford, Garfield, Mr. Peabody and Sherman, Charlie Brown, and other light hearted media on ancient video tapes and CDs we have long had in my house. This was not altogether foreign to me. And then, what can I say? I fell in love, as so many others have fallen prey to the fangs of these colorful horses. It is a spell of joy, escapism, and lovingly crafted art that is not difficult to escape.
  6. Indeed, a humorous story written with a pleasant satire. However, so it too serves as a warning to those who would avoid such a situation.
  7. I'm sorry, but... no. It would just feel so out of place to me. I value this show for its own universe, and do not wish to have that broken abruptly by them acknowledging my existence and shoehorning me into a role such as "best friend." That kind of content was exactly what FiM intended to break away from as far as the previous iterations of MLP. In fact, even some of their fourth wall breaks as it is were too much for me
  8. I want a new villain, not one from previous generations either. Preferably something not entirely a pony either, as Starlight has now done that idea. Honestly, what might would be even better is a slice of life premiere, with no villain. However, it's all very unlikely. It will likely involve Chrysalis.
  9. Very likely the Pie Sisters are based off the ancient "four temperaments theory".
  10. This is an idea I have had for some time. One can note that Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, and Starlight Glimmer all have some striking similarities. These being: 1. Their names. All three of their names are formed from two words: a light or color display in the sky + a type of light. 2. A cutie mark which, apparently, symbolizes magic talent (hypothetically in Sunset Shimmer's case), is a kind of heavenly body, and also matches their name. 3. Two toned manes. This is a small detail as many ponies (unicorns included) seem to have two toned manes. Still, it deserves consideration. So, I am curious as to why three random ponies, all potentially from different parts of Equestria, would have such similarities in their names, talents, and appearance. This has led me to ponder the idea that they are all descendants of an ancient unicorn tribe, one which held magic and outer space in high regard. Perhaps they deeply studied these two subjects, maybe even considered them to be related to each other in some way. As a result, all of the tribe would have had magic and space related names and cutie marks. But as time passed, they scattered and their descendants are now far and wide in the world of Equestria. It is also worth noting that while their names do not have the "light or color display in the sky + a type of light" format, Moon Dancer, Starswirl the Bearded, and Sunburst all meet several of the above criteria as well. They have space or light based names, a heavenly body for a cutie mark, apparent magic talent, and two toned manes. Perhaps they too are tied to this hypothetical tribe in some way. What are your thoughts? Why do so many unicorns have these traits? Is is simply a "unicorn" thing?
  11. I prefer in the following order: 1. Reform. This is what the show is about, after all. However, some cannot be redeemed. For those characters I prefer: 2. Death. Sombra is the only one so far who has "died", but I liked the way it was handled. In fact it is probable he still lives. 3. Imprisonment. There is nothing wrong with this method per se, but on an ethical level I believe it would be more kindly to put someone like Tirek down than allow him to rot for eternity in a cage. That said, it allows for villains like Discord to get a second run, or even become reformed through a difficult process. Regardless, imprisonment is logically only a temporary solution.
  12. I'm in one of those moods where I don't feel quite like a real human being. Truly, an odd sensation. I need some time to myself to recuperate my thoughts and emotions.
  13. 1. Some people do not like highly energetic personalities. They find them exhausting. 2. Pinkie Pie is one of "those" people who sometimes never lets others get a word in edgewise. This can be infuriating. 3. Due to her exuberance she can appear insincere. This behavior can turn off people who prefer a more direct communication. 4. She acts with forced merriment when she is suffering from depressive thoughts. This behavior can make some people uncomfortable. 5. In fact, constant cheer of any sort can make people uncomfortable. It can also make her character appear boring, as she so rarely seems to feel negativity. 6. She has a very high-pitched voice, and is also loud and prone to shrieking as well as making noisemakers and cannons appear from nowhere. Some do not like constant sudden loud noises. 7. She can be insensitive at times. 8. She occasionally fails to take things seriously, on a surface level at any rate. She is also proven to have difficulty at being responsible. 9. She is probably the most "girly girl" of the Mane 6, even by Tara Strong's words. (Pink on pink, loud, party loving, squeaky voiced). Some males might be turned off by this. There you are. A list of a few reasons why some people may not like Pinkie Pie.
  14. Can't wait for the weekend to be over.

    1. GrimGrimoire

      GrimGrimoire

OK it's over. You can celebrate now.

  15. The funny thing about Something Sweet To Bite is that around the time it was written, bronies would have loved reading about Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon getting devoured by a hideous monstrosity in gruesome ways. These days, though? I wonder...

    1. Castle Bleck

      Castle Bleck

The official TV Trope for that is "Funny Aneurysm" Moment.

Made you LOL back then; just makes you feel awkward now.

  16. So what would your favorite pony have to do lose that position, and make them only your second favorite character or worse? My favorite pony is Applejack. She would stop being my favorite pony if she lost her mind and killed her family. Or if we're aiming for something more plausible to actually happen, I might like her somewhat less if she was revealed to be scornful or disapproving of Big Mac's closet fantasies of being a hero, or maybe she wasn't understanding of what he did in Brotherhooves Social. How about y'all?
  17. Moon dancer and Colortura. Those are the first that spring to mind. Quibble Pants would be cool too.
  18. Despite Disney's Pocahontas depiction of John Smith as a self absorbed airhead, he was actually a pretty cool guy going by historical records. Without his excellent guidance and negotiation with the natives, America probably wouldn't exist as we know it today. One of the first and biggest colones survived thanks to him.
  19. Definitely not. I'm cautious about even suggesting someone try out something I like and they don't know about, so I'd never have the guts to do this.
  20. So is it weird that I find one of the most memorable things about Fallout: Equestria to be a single chapter's name?

    1. GrimGrimoire

      GrimGrimoire

I dunno, is it weird that whenever I go to the grocery store i have this irrational fear the rutabagas are secretly plotting to assault me, which is why I stay out of the produce departments? And no, not really, several people are not that big into it.

  21. I figured I may as well add you since I keep bumping into you and your posts are so often on point.

  22. Why the flying fudge do people have to make comments in threads that passive aggressively insult 95% of the people that posted in the thread before them?
