Awesome job, my friend! :yay: Rarity herself would be proud! :D

  2. Guys guys, a recent research stated that strawberries are better than apples! Science approved it! I guess we can throw those disgusting apples into the trashcan now *Runs away*
  3. Honestly better than what I can do lol
  4. If you want to try drawing kirins, you can use mine The mane style is a bit...no, scratch that, very unrealistic based on the show's style, but....whatever Here he is And yes, he doesn't have a name(yet?)
  5. Just realised that this exists

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaa....:kirin:

  7. Here's what I got so far

Also @Splashee, took your advice on width tool! The lines look so much cleaner

@Splashee I think I already got that covered, just gotta figure out how to make the gradients

      @Tacodidra Thanks! :kirin:

Gradients are difficult, since they are linear. Study Rarity's mane and see if the shading is linear as well (I would predict it is). otherwise, you might have to resort to the gradient mesh tool (I do not like using it, it is not a friendly tool).

For filling, even if you already know it. Duplicate your outlines into a new layer (because the width tool will not survive the convert to live paint layer). You have then two layers, one is the outlines, and one is the live paint. The best part about this is that you can fix errors later.

The more vector approved way is to go to the menu object->expand or object->expand appearance, which makes the outslines into filled shapes themselves, and then use the pathfinder (a tool window in the window menu) to merge different shapes together. This is the best options when the final drawing is done.

You should always have the tool window "pathfinder" up anyways, as it is the main way to merge shapes, or split shapes, or align shapes.

But live paint is best for filling ponies, just need to remember to keep a separate layer with the visible outlines on top (so you can keep the width tool's strokes and edit them later if needed)

  8. I totally forget that

Rarity's mane is too fabulous to thw point where I don't even know how to do it right

Fabulosity is to be expected with best pony! I'm sure you'll do a great job! :rarity:

  9. I wish Autumn Blaze got more screentime, or just the kirins in general I lnow she's just a one time character, similiar to Coloratura, but cmon They introduced a whole new race just to make an episode about a one time character Why did they have to waste it?
  10. There is this thank you event to MLP that has started like 2 months ago and I just notice it now :wau:

I actually want to write a letter to Autumn but I don't really know how to  make this kind of thing, also considering time is running out and I'm really busy atm.

Sucks that I will have to miss it :worry:

I'm sure she'll appreciate your letter, even if it's a bit late. Especially since you're one of the biggest kirin fans here! :kirin:

That's alright, I'm sure you can come up with something later! :kindness:

Also, thanks for the kind words in the "8 Years and counting" thread, my friend! :rarity: *hugs*

  11. Ok so, MLPF.... 8 years do sound really long right? I can't consider myself as a veteran or something similar and I acknowledge that I'm not really as active as I used to nowadays, but what I know is that this place has given me a lot of social interactions and life lessons. And I feel grateful to be a part of this community Back in 2017, when I was still a new brony, I felt really weird for liking this show. But that's until you all showed that it's ok to like something different and there is nothing wrong on doing so (although it was my mom that really made me came out from the closet ) Anyways, this place also taught me how to behave better on the internet and increased my awareness with my words. I couldn't thank more for that! And now, some people that played a major part during my time here : - @Haunt-A-Brony for being one of the first kind people who greeted me upon my arrival here. You are also a nice and interesting friend and I'm grateful to have you in my friendship circle. Wish you the best for your future and stay awesome! - @Tacodidra for being a kind person that makes me never feel alone, as he literally checks everyone's status updates and posts everyday. You are one of those people who really brings smile to my face. Keep spreading kindness and have a nice day! - @Rikifive for being a really helpful person! Most of our interaction might not happen directly inside the forum, but I know you from this place so it counts. Your help and feedbacks are really helpful as it makes improving easier for me. Thank you! Your assistance is appreciated. Also several other people that I've met and interacted with, like @Sherbert MGS, @Splashee, and @Bas. Thank you for your kindness and friendliness! And finally, other forum members that I forgot, sorry about that, I just couldn't remember all of you, since I rarely interact nowadays and my memory is pretty much getting more and more vague. But what I know is that this place is full of kind, helpful, and friendly people which is a characteristic that I won't always find in other communities! Thank you MLPForums! (Ok, that's all! Sorry if it sounds a bit too repetitive, especially at the end. School was tiring today and I can't think clearly right now, so sorry if I made any mistakesin my words!)
  12. Don't be exagerating, I'm not even popular.... But yeah, here I am, still acquiring new knowledge and learning till the sun sets for the best future
  13. Now that my drawing is finished

I might start working on Rarity soon :fluttershy:

      Tacodidra

Yay! :yay: Good luck with the drawing, my friend! :kindness: I'm sure it'll be awesome!

  14. Some drawings that I made during my stay at school.

Got to draw my OC, without looking at any references.

    Second one is not mine

  15. Damn....she looks like, bio-engineering at its finest (I just want to drop a comment, I can't help with OCs, sorry! )
  16. I guess, I could try Any suggestion on the....pose?
  17. I forgot that I should've posted complete artworks here So, have this repost from my WPR blog It's a Twily made in Adobe Illustrator. Took 3 weeks to finish
  18. Ummm, yeah, sure, I guess. What do you have in mind?
  19. Like how Neil Armstrong's first step on the moon was a huge leap for humanity, this piece of art is a massive progression for me. Instead of using Ms. Paint again, I finally tried using a real drawing program which is Adobe Ilustrator. I have been experimenting with it for the past 3 weeks, and now I already figured out how to utilise basic layering and knowing my way around this place. I know it's still far, like really far from perfect, but at least there is no more choppy pixels The result is this drawing of our mane character, Twilight Sparkle. Oh, and btw, this is my first digital drawing involving the mane 6, so that's another plus! Enjoy! Behind the scene: Final product :
  20. It's definitely not worth your money, nor your health. If you smoke, you will automatically be an annoying person to be around other people. C'mon, it's just like wasting money to die quicker, definitely not a smart move.
  21. Yes, I smoke forest fire's smoke everyday lately Can't say I want to, and can't also say I'm liking it
  22. I like the ponies I like everything related to it(except for the official toys and the knockoffs) Currently having a kirin overdose
  23. Today wasn't very productive, but I managed to get Twily's head done along with her front mane It was an experience, I'm starting to get an even better understanding on Ai Right now, I'm more able to control how the pen tool works than I used to Overall, the way I worked today is still far(like really, really far) from efficient, but I'm surely starting to get the hang of things Things to note from this progress: Here is the progress that I've done so far
  24. @Splashee I will probably never draw that way digitally, since I am pretty bad with mouses, coupled with the fact that my mouse.....is half broken But, as an alternative, I'm just going to draw traditionally first and then trace it in Ai, like I did with Paint
