    What are your fave songs about the Mane 6? Or... at least top 10 (because fave is toooo hard!) Mine: Pinkie Those who know me, know Pinkie's my fave. She's a chaotic, fun pony and I found this song around the same time I found electro-swing as a genre (it is awesome) and it was a big part of drawing me into the fandom. I will always associate bronies with this song. Fluttershy This song is about one of my favourite Fluttershy episodes, and it is by a composer I love whether it is pony or not (which is very unusual!). The tender power of this pony nets her a lot of fans and some amazing fan music, but who does tender power like the Aviators? Twilight This pony was my first mane pony preference, long before I settled on Pinkie. She's a wonderful protagonist who drew me into the world of pony through the wonderfulness that is FiM. And my favourite song for her is a remix of one of the best songs in the show, by the strangely obscure artist And The Rainfall (and ofc the OG is by ultimate musical kahuna, Daniel Ingram) Rainbow Dash Rainbow Dash is the sharp extroverted edge to the nerdy cutesiness of the show, and she has some of the best songs that peer into her depths. She's not my favourite pony, but she is one of my favourite subjects of pony songs. I could go with so many, but I'll settle for a recent one. Rarity Rarity is the most cross-gen of the ponies. Tabitha St Germain, her voice actor, added so much to Gen 3, and if you love this character then I strongly suggest that you check out G3. My hoofness, if she isn't one of the stars of G4 too, though. This pony, not Pinkie, is the one to watch for the best jokes. However, like her Gen 3 portrayals, Rarity lacks a lot of the depth of the other chars, which has left her lacking in the fandom love department. IMO songs are no exception to this, but there are still some fabulous ones. My pick is a total cheat, as the artist does amazing songs about all the Mane 6, but the one about Rarity is particularly good. Applejack Applejack episodes are my consistent favourites of the series, because they frequently cover the topic of family and childhood, which are topics I love to cover in my own writing. I have a big sis' and a momma whom I associate with this strong, feminine, figure. Applejack and Dashie are Faust's legacy to pony, but Applejack is the perfection of Bonnie Zacherle's ideal, while Dashie subverts it, and I much prefer AJ to Dashie as a character as a result. Anyhoof, my favourite song about this pony is inevitably a tear jerker... individuals may pass, but families never die. @Silly Druid would love to hear yours!     I dunno, it's innocent enough and doesn't bother me... it just sounds a bit fandom circa 2012 to me. The site feels a like it should be a lil more innocent than that, but then I do spend a lot of my time in very innocent pony servers (despite, um... some things )

    it's a fimfiction meme That may strike you as a little exaggerated, but it’s been done. I’ve seen cases where writers have referred to a single character by a different narratively-irrelevant descriptive phrase in her every mention. It gets a little disorientating7 and is very annoying. If a character has a name, call them by it as often as possible. By referring to characters with descriptors, you take the reader away from them. There’s a leap of logic that needs to be made from “Princess Celestia’s personal protégé” to “Twilight Sparkle”, and although it’s a very small, almost unnoticeable leap for most readers, it’s still big enough to distract them from the character interaction taking place. Therefore, the worst place to succumb to LUS is in dialogue. Here’s that passage again, this time just with names and pronouns: Much clearer, and much less annoying. Names are pretty invisible in prose, but you can overuse them.

SK makes deals and alliances, even with ponies, while Sombra uses your pastel weakness to put you all in reins. Any who defy him are sent to the knackers yard >:3 (I write this as a proud Twilycrat) Okay, Cosy and Chryssie also have a use for your soft, pony-loving hearts. Cosy wants your friendship, while Chryssie wants your love.

    the CCG plays a big role here. there;s loads from that. but they are more for in-game reasons. for fandom/pony resonance, I have to go with Pacific Glow... because I had lost all touch with the fandom and then I found a naughty RP site and reconnected and Pacific Glow was my sig on that site. And a song :3 always a song: Pretty sirens don't go flat It's not supposed to happen like that

    What are those moments that only happen to you because you're a brony? For example, just now, I was doing some cooking and hosting general house stuff which involved working on the outside of the house a bit. While I was doing that, I was listening to some restrained pony... but on a youtube playlist... and it becomes some of the most girly-boppy pony stuff I've ever heard As I'm beavering away I notice my neighbours car parked with the engine running. And I think 'But that's okay because the windows will muffle the sound'. So... they roll past with the windows friggin open and they must have been listening to a good portion of things like this, except even more boppy...

    horses are pretty dangerous, so that's not a bad phobia although I love em :3 look its liddle horsey face :3 G4 is the horsiest generation in terms of sounds and movement, but the models are still quite anthro, especially the faces.
