  1. Torgue <3 <3 <3 He would lose it.
  2. ^ I like channels that are straightforward and not chasing clout specifically for this. I don't consider myself as "watching YouTubers" as it's uncommon for me to sit down and watch vids anyway (I prefer text) but there are channels I generally enjoy and take seriously enough to consider watching when the mood strikes; those usually are philosophy/politics, psychology or music related, media analysis and/or video essays. But if I feel like I'm being marketed to I check out, enough fakers in this world as is. If I can't trust someone to be genuine in their character it clouds my judgement of them too much to consider their videos seriously.
  3. And the babies will always require the most attention. They crave it - need it. It is an infant school.
  4. The more I read these ridiculous """perspectives""" the more I consider them enemies of humanity and goodness itself.
  5. Nah yeah late era Chrysalis was written like a joke, the writing direction reaaaaally suffered in the last seasons and Chrysalis got some of the worst of it. Part of me thinks it's because they took away her subjects (and... prettified them because unconventional appearance = evil? uhhhh not a good thing to express lol) and a queen is nothing without her subjects, without her horde she's just a tall crazy old lady with freaky magic But honestly they did her so dirty, I don't know what was going on behind the scenes in the writing team because they wrote as if they had ran out of ideas but considering how many super creative and fun FiM fanfics there are out there I don't think "there's no more ideas to explore" is a good excuse. I am forever grieving the fact we never got to see Pinkie have an ep with Discord causing mischief - he outright said Laughter is his favourite element and Pinkie loved his chocolate rain it seemed like such an obvious matchup for some kind of ep so I'm surprised they never did that...?
  6. ^ I don't think it has to do with 'people not respecting animation' but more to do with streaming services respecting neither creators nor fans. Considering how popular anime is in the west there is an obvious adult demographic respecting the art form enough to be marketed to. Yeah, I'm DEFINITELY not salty because Netflix's cancellation fetish has ruined or otherwise interfered with most if not all shows I've watched despite creators and fans' best intentions and wishes. They're never seeing a penny from me hahahahahahahhh
  7. Ughhhh this is getting grating with client buildings never answering the door... can't I just be a key holder instead of wasting time???
  8. Neither. I am the element of darkness and despair.
  9. No, but only because it's back in my home country and wages are unlivable there I miss my first home, don't have fond memories of the suburb but I have fond memories of the first house, unfortunately we were paying rent for the place (and the landlady was a cold monster) so I can only see it from a distance... it hurts to be honest cos I have fond memories of the garden that feel primordial now :/ Our first dog is buried there too, the landlady told us to get rid of the memorial but I remember the location... be nice to say hi.
  10. Better not @me again psycho, I know where you live and I'm calling my lawyer as we SPEAK
  11. I probably have tons (though maybe others may not see the beauty lol) but this one is the first that comes to my head. Absolute tearjeker when it gets to the quiet part, one of my favourite songs by them and probably one of my favourite for metal in general (though this album is more atmospheric and shoegazey really) For something different, my violin tutor showed me this version of Dawning of The Day since she suggested I learn it on the fiddle and the singer's voice is honestly so beautiful it gives me chills.
  12. A BIN! No, really. It's not so interesting but definitely essential
  13. When is that package gonna arrive?
  14. Poor working class atheist 'family' - in reality it felt more like a resentful roommate economic arrangement for everyone involved. Dysfunctional to shit. Communist mostly which is about its only saving grace No longer a part of that 'family' so I'm solo except my sister and her mum, lol
  15. Violin (learning folk, not classical) and guitar. I would love to try out many more instruments too and I'd love to learn how to do black metal shrieks
  16. Wearing: PJs Hair: Messy Eating: Bacon sandwich soon Drinking: SHOULD be a tea... hmm 🤔 Thinking: Oh no don't like that Feeling: Glad to have gotten some cover shifts to pay off the air purifier! Talking to: Acinonyx Listening to: Nothing Watching: Nothing Loving: Money Hating: Not enough money! Wanting: Guess! Waiting for: GUESS! Weather: Sunny Time: of monsters Hoping: I can get a dehumidifier soon too to make sure my violin is kept safe! Situation: Sure is!
  17. Pokemon Volt White, got in the mood to play again and I much prefer the changes in this version.
  18. Yeah I've started calling this trend the "colour tax" because hey, I can't think of a reason companies choose to remove all colour from designs unless colour comes with extra tax, right? :p It's a soulless aesthetic with no personality and honestly makes me feel depressed. Worked in businesses with these kind of modernist designs and idk how the staff who spend more hours in those buildings stay sane.
  19. Yeah I'm actually a bit confused because to me the majority of FiM is slice of life and that's what makes it cosy escapism to me? So many episodes are just the characters living their lives and having regular human (err, pony) problems with nothing really horrible going on in the grand scheme of things. I liked the first 3 seasons especially because Twilight could just be a normal pony with normal pony problems most of the time I do think I agree with OverTheStars in that I value character writing over gogogo action, though it's not either/or to me either, I think a good mix of both makes the best stories
  20. Mix of grey and green. Like my mum's. :s
  21. Well the problem is much worse than previously thought and I don't even want to look at fixing it. I don't think I can do any of that.
  22. Need to get an air purifier next paycheck, I can't be getting allergies everytime when I wake up
  23. Binge watched the new Dragon Prince season that I had no idea had come out, and hoooo boy I could spend a few hours analysing and critiquing each and every episode alone lol. The crazy thing is that it's fun as hell to watch cos of the universe they've established but I swear something is going on internally in the studio because I can only summarise the character writing choices as a hot disorganised mess. I think having such a vast cast and such a large scale series universe makes it difficult for them to maintain a good flow and to develop individual characters with the attention they deserve. The show needs more than ten episodes per season, they simply don't get enough for the ambitious ideas they have to really develop all the characters they have introduced. tl;dr big ambitions don't match to team's writing abilities, disjointed mess ensues. I'm still watching so they're clearly doing something right but hooo boy, LOL. I love a lot of the ideas they have going but the execution needs serious work. I miss the filler, filler serves a crucial purpose in character development and having the audience breathe and spend some time in the world.
