The balcony overlooking the pier in Key West as the sun set. All over you could hear celebrating, cheering, cars honking, and music. You could literally watch the sun disappear beneath the horizon.
Having a smoke at Mahane Yehuda Market in Jerusalem on erev shabbat. There was a feeling of great anticipation in the air, almost electric. Everybody seemed to have a little more spring in their step. The Wall was the place to be that night.
On the last night of Ultra Music Festival 2011, we took the downtown Miami metro rail to get back to the hotel. It was completely crammed full of festival-goers and we all sang happy birthday to Tony despite the fact that none of us knew him.
