  1. Butthurt? Please, you've been sitting at the computer too long!

  2. Nyeaahh, not for me, too monstery and skeletal!
  3. Lol no i know peoples opinion on it, I totez understand the reasoning why people dislike it when they're not show accurate - heck even I just complained about it with the Rarity base anyway! Sorry if it sounded like I was attacking your opinion or something. Good for me, I've never even seen that plushie. Makes me sad to think I'd have to see her in such a way.
  4. Nice work! I totally feel for poor Nepeta. It was a neat thing to see the Disciple & the Suffer have a bit of a thing going, suited my heart perfectly. I dunno how Nepeta and Karkat would go together themselves though, they seem a lot different than their ancestor counterparts. We'll see!
  5. To be honest... I kinda like that pink Celestia *cringes for hurricane of rotten tomatoes* I don't like the Rarity base used for so many of the characters. Like the Lyra and Trixie ones because they could have just use the Twilight Sparkle one, grrrr!!!! Shame, shame.
  6. Best hobby ever! I too like stir fries and fried rices.I've been getting into making dumplings lately (like the ones with the wonton casing). I've had a couple of fails but I'm gonna keep going until I get it because dumplings are the fricking best! Also, I like to make soups, like tomato soups with fresh crushed tomato and out-of-the-garden herbs, and thick, filling pumpkin soups. Mostly vegetarian stuff, though I can't say I'm actually a vegetarian but I eat as much vege-only dishes as I can (family mostly cooks meat stuff, kinda can't avoid it at dinner times :/ and I really like salami ) Anyway guys, what's your go to ingredient? For me, I'm constantly grabbing at the semolina for thickening my soups up, and my MSG free vegetable stocks for adding that extra kick.

  8. I reside in Queensland Australia. And I dare you to be aware of what time it is in Australia right now.
  9. Argh, too bad for me, my mind has already been imprinted with her G1 counterpart! She's almost a spitting image.. you know, besides completely different art style and all P:
  10. My mum knows I like to collect the toys. She wouldn't take me any weirder than she already knows I am about cartoons. I'm a girl though, must have had it easier huh.
  11. A bit too overexcited about being a male who likes a girls show. And very egotistical about it. Like that guy who claimed that Hasbro should be directing their products to bronies and not little girls because "bronies are the biggest market". By God they aren't. Parents of these children aren't ripping episodes of MLP off of Youtube or buying bootleg MLP plushies. Complaining about Celestia being too pink. It's a toy to be played with, not an anime display figure. Also.. I got that kind of feeling because of this one music video where it was a MLP song.. but it was a video of some random guy in a grey hoodie. Like the deal is all about the coolness bronies.
  12. ^ Maybe she grew out of it Looks really good! Look like she also grew her hair out too I wonder what her skill would be?..
  13. Unique style ya say? It's a superimposing of quite a number of different other countries flags XD But naw, I get what you mean. Well, everyone digs the flag of Nepal, I'm sure lol This is technically the Macedonian flag.. the more known version is a lot more simpler, but I dig it because I reckon it would look great as a brooch or hey, a royal cutie mark I too also like Canadian flag, because you gotta be a special kind of awesome to have a part of a plant on your flag. Also, the Pansexual flag is so pretty, whoever made it chose the best of the best colours
  14. ^ I guess what he means by the style is the heavy black shadows. But I understand what you mean, the rest of the style remains to rely on the confidence of the anatomy, that's gotta be worked on in general, and that's gotta be a big feat since the anatomy of the art style is very accurate because of how scrupulous the art directors are in getting proportions etc right. It really is a big feat though, something that takes years and years, I'm not even half way there yet myself.. Either way, I see a lot of good effort and time went to this, and I applaud you!.
  15. I know E the Pony makes them very well. http://ethepony.blogspot.com.au/ Awesome work. Apparently his business runs at a loss, to make it more affordable to others I suppose (embroidery uses a heap of thread it's crazy when you see it happen before your eyes) so I've been recommended to tip him for the effort, he seems a real nice guy.
  16. Yep, because giving them magnets would have destroyed all my effort. Thanks man it's very appreciated.
  17. Oh, I want to enter that too!.. Well here is Pavlova Puff: (The pony on the left). She is based off a fluffy meringue based dessert. The texture of her hair is like something from needle felting. Matted and fluffy. She is very soft-hearted and genial. She's near mute. A bit like a teddy bear. She expresses herself through action and gesture. She draws pictures and designs for food arrangements by commission. Her only close friend (Lamington, pictured next to her) is quite introverted and enjoys her company. Not sure what else to know of her, my ideas for her in drawings and paintings just flow onto the paper for her P:
  18. Hey well I thought I'd share something I finally got finished recently. My best friend's a big MLP fan (bigger than me, I admit) and her favourite pony's of the show are Lyra and Bon Bon. There was a pair of crochet Lyra and Bonbon's with magnetic noses for about $60+ on an auction but that was waaay to much for me. So instead, I followed this fantastic crochet pony tutorial and here's the end result: I contemplated selling custom ponies (with my own pattern) but the crochet toys don't seem to sell as well as the loveable minky plush - a warning to fellow crochers >O< Thanks for coming by!
  19. Welcome to the MLP Forums! Cooking is a great and useful hobby, and I love woodcarving! I just don't have the calloused hands to handle it for so long (eh, well I'm a girl anyway so your mileage may vary). Not too sure on other hobbies you'd be interested in that I could recommend but from your suggestions you seem a creative guy. Anyway, hope you enjoy your stay and I hope to see you around!
  20. In drawing, and I suppose animation as well, expression and gestures tend to be an exaggeration from the norm to get the idea across with rather planar looking styles. edit: damn typos everywhere
  21. Tim Curry. The end. Tell me what point you died in the video. Tell me if you can physically place a single comment to this piece of musical genius.
  22. Drinking vinegar straight, nobody told me it induces headaches..

  23. Oh my gosh I had no idea how squeaky her voice was.. Someone needs to make a rubber squeaky squeezy out of her, now.
  24. 1) If any of the mane six was male, would there be one? and if so who? I'd think maybe Applejack. I'd find it a great story if it were a 1:5 ratio of male and female characters learning to get along. Spike technically would be this, but he's just too distant. 2) How would the mane six work out if it was mixed genders? Would the dynamics be different? Good point. The whole show would be less feminine as it is now. It's a girls show, just like it were back in the 80s, as even Faust tried to recreate to reinact it. Otherwise I'd believe she would have any freedom to make one at least a male. 3) Would the show or bronies be percieved differently because there is at least a male primary character? Yes. Oh definitly yes. Bronies wouldn't need to keep establishing their male identity anymore. It'd just be a "little kid's show" rather than "little girls show". The name bronies wouldn't even be used outside the fandom, they'd have to have a shared name with the females themselves (that's if females prefer to call themselves pegasisters).
  25. Well, that's awesome to hear! They're the kind of interests you'd discover very unique people in. And the Russians have a really powerful enunciation too both their words and their music - which to add, Slavic folk music is more specifically my favourite : P I know right Pipe organs are a really unique musical life form. Well, naw it really doesn't, just the "everyday folks" assumption. And a wrong assumption of theirs too, because words like psychotic get thrown around too easy like we've all got honours degrees in psychology or something. But it wouldn't be a problem to them unless you frequently admitted to the world "hey guys, I have a tulpa".. assuming these people would likely ever knew what they were in the first place. So enjoy them.
