  1. I like how you didn't simply draw him from the typical side-on view, but angled to the front. Artist's respect! Maybe the lineart could have been thicker around the face than it is to the rump because details in the distance tend to fade out compared to those in the front.. Leonardo Da Vinci pointed that out Nice vector work overall!
  2. Well you're right actually, the quality is better! But hey then, means the art field is all yours
  3. That's super cool! She's as fun as she's awesomely flexible Which program did you use to make it?
  4. Dreams are recollections of your day, or at least hormonal concoctions that where the same you had that day, repeated in your dreams to "Solve". PTSD really isn't something that should be thrown around..
  5. Ugh ok let me warn you, after painting with tablets for 4 years, I cannot stand my brand new Wacom Bamboo Fun "Pen & Touch". Touch screens are useless for digital art, especially if you're doing art on a laptop anyway, and just a waste of money for that "extra tidbit" :/ Don't get a Touch one, seriously, I beg of you. For a beginner or hobbiest, get Bamboo Pen, the simple and most basic one. I say don't listen to anyone who says that it's too small, it's bogus and I do full on paintings with it alone. I worked with tablets of all size and it really matters little, the only thing that happens is that you move your wrist a bit more. If you want to be professionally.. go with the Intuos range but I'm a bit of an advanced painter, I don't have one, and I seriously don't need it. I agree with SrFrog though.. my first tablets as a beginner where a $60 Medion brand and after that, my $70 Genius brand tablet. I used both until they died out. I would think Wacom would last longer though, so far I've had my old Bamboo Pen for a year and it's ok. Phaeston made a good point that yes, you are to draw with your arm and not your wrist alone.. however, that's why you should also practice by drawing traditionally on paper as your go-to medium for when you're practising anatomy etc (it's a bit dangerous to rely on digital art alone, so I think it's a plus both ways). I draw with a small graphics tablet, but when I whip my sketchbook out, I return to drawing more freely.
  6. Mehhh, I think the straight-ships are pretty boring simply because the male characters are just so..... watery. But I don't dig shippings in the first place so that must make that a very low opinion.. but I guess being someone who gets pestered on about "having to marry whoever my dad likes" in order to keep some respect just sours me on the whole subject. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets their personal matters into their opinions lol
  7. To have my eyeball/eyeballs popped open with needles or sliced open with a razor. The needle thing happens heaps when I'm at the sewing machine, I broke 10 or so of them in the past 4 months of weekend use. eeeekk. ETA: Or just being blind in general.
  8. ^ In response to up there... Bakeries open up early so their products are fresh and ready by morning. She may need to sleep there sometimes I suppose That's my theory anyway.

Just wanted to say that horse has a jaw-droppingly beautiful coat - and it's super long tail, that's hard to keep! Anyway keep it up, AlannaTheMixer Lover !
  10. Oh my gosh wow, so my prediction that many INTJs (a farely rare type) would be into MLP was... absolutely right. Wow. Gonna faint, brb. Anywho I'm ENFP. I'm not as ENFPish as Pinkie Pie is, I turned out a bit too idealist for that lol. Hence my pleasant chatter on good days and cold opinions on bad days. Warning - we're volatile... To be honest, I think some of these characters that got mooshed into the chart just don't suit it because they just wanted to try and fit all the Mane 6 and then some... And I say, ENFJ isn't very much Rarity-like.
  11. Most people would think it's weird, psychotic or an act of the devil to have one so you got your wish lol
  12. I agree, very nice and true to the show! There are some pretty nicely designed characters in there too.
  13. Taking a look around my room..... 14. Yep! What kind of magic is that, we'll never know.. Favourite muffin... gosh probably a nice warm Apple & Cinnamon one with butter melting on top
  15. Yeah... that's definitely it. It's awkward I was meaning to search to see if the forums here have a thread about "At what point are you a brony" to get an idea of what the general consensus is. Labelling does get suckish, but it's what drives people together though - otherwise, how'd we all unite? We could be called MLPers or something, but the name wouldn't change anything because we still enjoy MLPs. Either way, Furry is considered a dirty word despite its implications, and that's why this apartheid of opinions will still stand..
  16. Hey man that's cool, and I appreciate self-awareness! Though hey, although to argue is dangerous, there's nothing harmful about debate - debates are a healthier thing than an argument (well when held with discipline )
  17. It's a really calming hobby Oh my haha If that intense Pinkie Pie GIF was used for every welcome, I'd see why they'd die off at Blank Flank! But naw, as long as there is a refreshing topic abound, I'm here to participate. Thank you for your welcome! Yeah I totally getcha A cake with hugs. Cake gives hugs from the inside. And Pinkie Pie as any really Though I'd totally buy a toy of her as a filly, then I'd have Pinkie Pies of all 3 sizes for my desk. Hellz to the yes! The climb will be my final feat before bed time!
  18. Awesome stuff, but making ASCII art hand made is kinda a lost art now since they invented ASCII art generators..
  19. Hmm... yeah, I'm still not won on that Yes, you tell me Furries are into anthro animals.. and aren't bronies at all interested in ponies? Then what are they? Because most I came across seem to love ponies, make OCs, and cosplay as them.. I'll illustrate where I'm coming from: Furry - To actively fandomise animals. There are 101 ways to be in the community, whether it be in fan forums, fan art, fan music, roleplay yadda yadda.. all the same as bronies.. I'll follow along with your suggestion. "Fans of Friendship is Magic TV Show" ie. random watcher who thought it was good, alternately compares to, "Fan of Animals in General". Which could be any zookeeper, kid, or veterinarian. You wouldn't call a random who liked the show a brony (depends on your definition of brony, but most commonly, it's referred to only those who delve directly in the fandom) just because he liked an episode, and you wouldn't call a vet a furry just because they like to work with them. Let's make the distinction clear. These people are a fan of the entity itself.. so a "fan of FIM" could just like the show, and not because of the ponies. I wouldn't think many would accept them as a brony until there is involvement, but I suppose the definition of brony is its own argument but bear with me here.. Then we got the next tier, and that'd be what we describe as "The bulk of the Bronies" who don't just like to watch the show like they like to watch Wheel of Fortune or Friends on a fortnight, but they actually get involved in the community, and partipate in fandom. Furries are a as well, a community & fandom, which separates them from the people who are "Fans of Animals" back in Tier 1. Same with "Fans of the Show". We got bronies who have OCs (just like furries), fanfics (just like furries), porn (just like furries), and the physical community (just like furries). They parallel so much.. there is literally no deviance I see here. Except. The main premise that keeps everyone feeling bronies are not furries is the fact it stems from a TV show. Pretend MLP was a book. Like Wind in the Willows, and I drew fan art of them all the time. They're anthromorphic to exact degree as MLP: (limbs proportionate to actual animal... like Faust's FIM style ponies). Yeah, MLP doesn't wear clothes all the time, but they wear dresses, Rarity even actively makes them, and some ponies wear clothes like DJ Pon-3 goggles all the time. Much like furry anthros do. I'd like to add to that, that anthropomorphic doesn't mean "only human proportions", that's just what pops up a lot because the porn for it is more attractive to the human beholders who like le breasts and what not.. So why, why does it being inspired from a show not make it a fandom of an anthropomorphic equine creature? Nobody can say "Oh, but we only like ponies". Yes, and we got people who love wolves and wolves alone, and so they're not furries anymore now? My Little Pony is in no grey area... Anyway, I don't mean to throw all this explaining just at you alone, I suppose I'm really directing this out in the open to anyone reading by who disagrees, because yeah, not one of the posters in this thread who argues against bronies being furries has actually explained why. You know I'd be happy if I could believe furries an bronies aren't related, it'd make bronies less of a subcatergory I suppose? I think thats the other thing bronies are scared of, just being "subbed down".
  20. My city was the founding place for the invention of one of the most iconic Australian foods, the Lamington cake.
  21. Yeah Otherwise, all the skill was already present in your drawing. Look forward to seeing more in the future!
  22. Ok bro, since I am so uneducated in furries and bronies, can you make me detailed explanation as to why not? Nobody has in this thread. In mind of that, I see no reason bronies are not. And what word would you use?
  23. Heck yeah! Especially because of it's animation style. Unique as, I don't think I've seen it anywhere else.. Have you guys seen the Psycho Eddy animation someone did? It got a DD award on deviantARt: http://animated.deviantart.com/art/Psycho-Eddy-127384348
  24. Pegasus in bottom picture is missing a leg lol I think you'll need to do some practice sketches on anatomy. Mostly the legs you seem to have trouble with, like how they're meant to bend, the lengths etc. Maybe this video will help explain it? I'm sorry it's so long! But yeah, my main tip is to do like.. a big pony sketch jam on a piece of paper, draw a heap of sketches from screenshots and you'll get a better understanding of it. BTW I loled at the "Happy Birthday" sign, so unfitting to the situation What's wrong with me!
  25. Caduceus, maybe. Staff of Messages and Knowledge. Or otherwise what my friend suggested, a heart with a "plus sign" in the middle, like the medically associated Swiss Red Cross. A friendly healer.
